Metallica isn’t Metallica for no reason , they are they greatest metal band of all time .
Testament overkill exodus are the real metal bands
you should do a reaction to the warning at this song.... Danny take the role of james and kirk... all by herself... years ago... you are gonna love it!!!!
she just did right after this one, it's on her channel
@@Jmg831 Just saw it... thanks!
Haha :)
Thanks for taking the time to listen to Metallica's version! Many reactors watch the Warnings version but don't know the original, which seems silly. You are definitely one of my favorite reactors! Keep on rockin!
Aww thanks so much! It didn’t make a lot of sense to me to watch their version without hearing the original
The Warning is going to be the Metallica of this decade. 😉
That is tooo muuuch saying...
they are not comparable, Metallica is a rock, heavy trash metal band, and The warning is a pop, rock, hard rock band
Seeing Metallica live first was a good way to go. They’re like the Warning in that they’re generally better live. They have such an infectious energy. And modern Metallica is considerably toned down from how they were in the late 80s-early 90s.
I’m excited to see your The Warning reaction now. I’m a huge Metallica fan, and The Warning nails this effortlessly.
Hope you liked the warning reaction!
I first heard the studio version after hearing The Warning's cover. It makes a difference having more folks playing guitars and singing, but I was even more impressed when I went back and re-watched DPA performing it live at the Whiskey. I know DPA don't want to do covers any more but man, they are so good at adapting songs for a three-piece band.
The first three Metallica albums are ground breaking. They helped invent a new style of rock music. Master of Puppets is them perfecting thrash metal. 🤘🏻😀🤘🏻
I have been a metal head for over 40 years. The Warning is so refreshing to me. Hope Metallica is as refreshing to you!
Here’s hoping!
I like some.......some of Metallica's songs. I love ALL of The Warning/Metallica songs.
Hi Ashlena, I like the fact that you don't go blind into any of your reactions, I hate reactors that listen to covers when they never heard the original song, you are one of my fvorite reactors and I love I got to know you because of the warning and thanks to you now I got to know some fantastic bands, thanks again for your hard work, greetings from Mexico!!!!
Awwww thanks so much Gustavo! I might be heading to Mexico in April!
@@ashlenamusic great, let me know and if possible i'like to Buy You and your family lunch or dinner, or just to say hi.
I'll let you know!
The first 4 thrash albums were big for me while I was in high school. The later stuff I didn't care for as much but it was difficult to avoid the black album in the 90's and it's got some classics on there. I think they're an important legacy band but it's not the metal I tend to listen to these days. I did get to see them in 2017 and they put on a great show and this song is kinda bananas.
Well, now you have to add the 30th anniversary edition of the Black List album to your vinyl collection for both the Warning's and Metallica's sake. Actually the warning has an unboxing video of it, and it's kind of funny because Ale shows she has a bit of OCD trying to get her sisters to put the contents back in the package in the order it came out. A bit of a window into her personality.
I was at this show at the Bridgestone Arena in 2019 and Metallica was practically flawless that night. I've seen Metallica 4 times and you would have a blast at one of their shows, high-energy, high-speed metal/hard rock. I hope you do The Warnings cover of this song from the Whisky a GoGo, Feb 22, 2019. They play it as an encore request after a 2+ hour set for a friend/fan, they were 18, 16, and 13 at the time and they killed it. They were exhausted after the long show and you can tell Ale is worn out, but being the professional she is she pulled off a great performance. Dany was excellent covering 2 guitar parts and vocals. Pau is Pau, that's all that needs to be said about that. There is a version from The Warning Cave, but the one from The Whisky in front of a crowd of fans feels like a better comparison. ua-cam.com/video/fhhG5EiFiyA/v-deo.html
Yeah this is such a great song and their performance is otherworldly. So much energy. There is a reason they have been rocking for decades
gr8 reaction ash ... thanks again ... namaste ... twa ... \m/
That was really good they are so good live🔥 and their fans are awesome they all sing back to them. DPA kill the cover.🔥⚡Thank you I'd never seen this video it was cool.🔥
Hi Ashlena :) Metallica was my favourite metal band in my teens, still have a soft spot in my heart for them 30 years later. Thx for your reaction :)
That's awesome!
If you want to hear something magical, check out Metallica, 4 leaf clover, live S&M 2. They did 2 concerts with the San Francisco symphony. Incredible! These albums are a great place to start. They were for me. I like Metallica, but the Warning is my new #1 band.
No way!!!! I’m a sucker for any music that adds a symphony
@@ashlenamusicThe Warning, Pepsi Center, CDMX, 2023🤘
It’s brilliant! Cliff would have been so happy!
30+ listening to Metallica. I love the band but The Warning is just amazing, they're so good 🙌🏻⚡️I cried and feel proud with Metallica back in the day but now I feel the same way with The Warning! 🙌🏻⚡️
Metallica and The Warning.... my two favorite bands. I was at this concert. One of the best concerts I have been to. This was a sold out show. The drums turned about a quarter of the way around about every 6 songs. Definitely better live than on record.
That’s so cool!!!
This was the first time I have ever heard this song by Metallica,..............but.....I like The Warning version better! (holy shit...stop throwing the beer bottles guys!!! Ouch!)
Metallica has so much music its hard to comprehend almost. So many good ones.
Saw them in 89, great concert, you should give a listen to Master of Puppets live or Lux Eterna from their last album, awesomeness!!!
I… *BEG* you to react to ”Orion”, by Metallica. That is my favorite song of theirs. Came out in 1986. Instrumental. Gorgeous. Celestial. Brings tears. Epic. Harmonies galore. Please.
Metallica & The Warning ❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for this. I have seen The Warning versions before. This really helps and lets me appreciate The Warning even more.
Glad it was helpful!
One of my favorite Metallica tunes, even though it came very late 2016 I think.... Superb tune. Here the lyrics.
Bitterness and burden
Curses rest on thee
Solitaire and sorrow
All eternity
Save the Earth and claim perfection
Deem the mass and blame rejection
Hold the pose, fein perception
Grudges break your back
All you bear
All you carry
All you bear
Place it right on
Right on me
Die as you suffer in vain
Own all the grief and the pain
Die as you hold up the skies
Atlas, rise!
How does it feel on your own?
Bound by the world all alone
Crushed under heavy skies
Atlas, rise
Crucify and witness
Circling the sun
Bastardized in ruin
What have you become?
Blame the world and blame your maker
Wish 'em to the undertaker
Crown yourself the other savior
So you carry on
All you bear
All you carry
All you bear
Place it right on
Right on me
Die as you suffer in vain
Own all the grief and the pain
Die as you hold up the skies
Atlas, rise!
How does it feel on your own?
Bound by the world all alone
Crushed under heavy skies
Crushed under heavy skies
Atlas, rise!
Masquerade as maker
Heavy is the crown
Beaten down and broken
Drama wears you down
Overload, the martyr stumbles
Hit the ground and heaven crumbles
All alone the fear shall humble
Swallow all your pride
All you bear
All you carry
All you bear
Place it right on
Right on me
Die as you suffer in vain
Own all the grief and the pain
Die as you hold up the skies
Atlas, rise
How does it feel on your own?
Bound by the world all alone
Crushed under heavy skies
Crushed under heavy skies
Atlas, rise
Great lyrics!
Well now you must dive into Metallica, it’s a whole world of fun!!! Start with “creeping death” and “enter sandman” live in Moscow 91’ !!!
Metallica is my all time favorite band since 1980s. I suggest having the lyrics on since all their songs have meaning. Totally not what a non metal fan would expect. People just need to give them a chance and one of their songs will relate to what's going on in your life. Not to mention the music and playing is amazing. Happy New Year!!
That’s amazing! I feel awful for never giving them a chance. Glad I am now thanks to the warning!
If I remember correctly, I found The Warning at the same time that they released Queen of the Murder Scene, I think the first TW song I heard was Dust To Dust at Lunario, and I have been a big TW fan ever since. When it comes to Metallica, I have listened to them since the 90's I think, and I like almost all of their albums, with the possible exception of St. Anger. I don't remember much about Death Magnetic, but I love Load and Reload, it's a different sound for them, but they really pulled it off, in my opinion. As for you never giving Metallica a chance until now, well, I think I speak for most Metallica fans when I say that you're forgiven 😁Better late than never, as they say 🤘🔥Now I'm going to watch your reaction to The Warning's cover of Atlas, Rise! Wish me luck 😋
Hahaha I appreciate that!
Much more Metallica….absolutely greatest band ever 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘….more than 50 pure bangers can be shown to you and live they are The Untouchables…..🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘….your numbers of subscribers will explode when beginning to react to Metallica…subbed 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
Haha thanks so much!
I'm definitely down for some Metallica reactions Ashlena. And yes TW does a kickass cover of this...but all their covers are awesome! Now do yourself a favor and experience the spectacle that is Metallica, Enter Sandman Live Moscow 1991...💣💥🤘
Great reaction, Ash! First time for me too 😊
Hope you enjoyed it!
The Metallica sound had more "metal" distortion but was less musical than The Warning at Whiskey A Gogo. I could hear more bass in the TW's WAGG show and generally I could hear the notes better. M's singer James Hetfield does have a huge voice, but I was shocked to hear that Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead's voice was even bigger when he played on stage with M, even when he was a year or two from his death. Great reaction!
A friend of mine in middle school introduced me to Metallica and Slipknot and those 2 bands were my gateway into metal along with Demon Hunter, who I was introduced to by another friend in high school. The lead guitarist is Kirk Hammett, not me lol, and the lead vocalist is James Hetfield who decided to be the vocalist without any vocal training after their original vocalist left the band in 1981 or 82. The current bass player, Robert Trujillo, joined the band in 2003 I think and he used to be the bass player for Ozzy Osbourne. Lars Ulrich is the drummer and co founder of the band and he usually gets a lot of hate for his drumming style but Metallica wouldn't be Metallica without him. I saw Metallica in 2018 or 19 with a friend of mine and got to see them play one of my all time favorite songs, One, at that show and it was also in the round.
So the lead guitarist was the one that said on the video of the Warning cover of ES "the drummer kicks maximum a$$"?
Ugh I love spilling. Vermillion Pt 2 is always on rotation. Never heard of demon hunter 🤔
@@SDsailor7Yes, and I concur lol
@@ashlenamusic Their vocalist Ryan Clark is similar to Corey Taylor cuz he goes back and forth between clean and harsh vocals. He's my favorite vocalist and lyricist in metal and they are a great band all around.
🤘🏽
🤘🏽
Welcome to Metallica world! We welcome you!! Check out the Russia concert from 90s, crazy stuff…and the song fade to black. Also the Warning has quickly became my second all time favorite band, love those ladies. #metallicafamwarningarmy
I enjoyed the Barbie movie. It was hilarious. A great idea and done very well.
I gotta watch it!
Metallica - Master of Puppets was recently featured in Stranger Things. Try a lyric video because it was before they started making videos.
I fucking love The Warning. Don't get me wrong, I accidentally found them searching for Atlas Rise on UA-cam and they popped up for me and I'm one of their biggest fans for sure. Their version of Atlas Rise is great, but nothing can top Metallica doing it. Loved your reaction 🤘
Thanks bud! Hope you’re well xx
Make sure that you watch TW at the Whiskey A Go Go, it was there final after playing for 2 hrs, then check out the Metallica/TW to this song mash-up from TW Russia
I saw the mashup it was incredible!
If you like live Metallica, and crowd interaction, check either Master of Puppets or Seek and Destroy from Quebec Magnetic! On their UA-cam channel.
I never really got into Metallica either, although Nothing Else Matters is one of my funeral songs 😄 so if you do start reacting to them please do that one! I’m going to watch your Warning reaction now, it will be my first time hearing them, I haven’t really been drawn to them before but I’m intrigued to see what they sound like now.
Ahaha I know that song but maybe I can do a live version :)
I hope you do dig into Metallica's library. Atlas Rise is off their 2016 release "Hardwired", which was the first Metallica album I enjoyed since 1991's Black album. All their 90's music I did not like at all. But you can't go wrong with their first 4 releases, Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lighning, Master of Puppets & And Justice for All.
Master of Puppets is one of my all time favorite albums and the Title track is their best song ever IMO. But I would start with "Seek & Destroy" from their first album, which is the song that hooked me. (you can feel Dave Mustane's {Megadeth} on it though as he was an original member). But you also have to "ONe" from And Justice for All. Looking forward to your reactions. BTW, I am also in anticipation awaits The Warning in 2024.
Thanks for all the tips!! I know mater of puppets but only that song from the album. And so glad to hear you’re a warning fan xx
@@ashlenamusic Obsessed with The Warning as you have become. Just a thing about Master of Puppets, I really never knew how difficult the song was until I saw them play it on Howard Stern. If you want to do a reaction to that song, do the Howard Stern performance. Its pretty incredible.
oooh good idea

I know you hate music videos, but the one (no pun intended) Metallica music video you MUST do it for the song "One." Make sure it's the full-length version with the "Johnny Got His Gun" clips.
Thanks for the tip!
My one hope for 2024 (apart from The Warning making it big time) would be for Metallica to get The Warning to support them, then get them up on stage to do "Enter Sandman" and "Atlas Rise" with Pau doing a drum battle with Lars. I always loved Lars drumming on this, but when The Warning did their cover,Pau just put him to shame - especially using her floor toms, which gave it more emphasis. Still my favorite Metallica song...just had to quickly edit this,Metallica bassist Rob Trujillo mentioned on The Warnings upload of their cover that he " Rob approves",that's 2 Metallica members who've liked what the girls are doing to their songs.
Lars Ulrich is the name of the drummer, he is from Denmark like me. Have seen the live many times. And it is ok you not have listende to Metallica. TW's version is insane, it's like many of there songs unpredictive.
Amazing! Their version is insane! Go check out my reaction :)
Start with some fade to black or Master of puppets
I think you should definitely a reaction to master of puppets! Master is a song about addiction. You mentioned the guitar solos being so long on their song. In master it's helping to tell the story of ups and downs of what people go thru in my mind. The highs of using the drugs and the very lows of coming down. Check it out. Look at the lyrics when you watch it. And definitely metallica is a band that you have to see live.
I know that song well but wouldn’t mind checking out a live version
Only third time I've heard the original version of Atlas Rise. First time was when their Hardwired album was released. Second time was when I listened to it after hearing The Warnings version and now this. I didn't like that album so never really listened anything from it.
I can see The Warning opening one day for Metallica.
My dream come true, you reacting to Metallica!!! It doesn't matter if you didn't follow this fucking amazing band, now you're inside this rabbit hole, just enjoy your journey. Please, please, please do Master of Puppets, live versión from Quebec, 2009. Pleeeaase!! The lyrics will blow your mind.
Haha I know the song already but I definitely haven’t seen it live
@@ashlenamusic this live performance will blow your mind. "Fade to black" is the song you have to watch, pay attention to the lyrics as you do really well.
I definitely love reading lyrics when listening to a song for the first time.
@@ashlenamusic awesome!
👉❤
Seen these guys over 30 times and each time has been better than the last and that was a good live version but any other version from 2017 would’ve been way better since that song was pretty new back then and also in 2019 the singer was pretty burnt out and was on his way to rehab towards the end of 2019.
No way! Wow
I forgot James was this heavy before the pandemic. He's very thin now.
Metallica is the musical love child of Black Sabbath and Motorhead...at a lovecraft convention 😂😂😂
Wow they almost do it as good as The Warning 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
This song is great but not one of their top 10. You should check out Masters of puppets, Fade to black and One (live of course). And of course ”Creaping death” live from Moscow 1991 with 1.6 million people in the crowd.
So, yes, I know you hate music videos but when you get around to ‘One’ (& you should probably start with ‘One’) you MUST do the music video. Just as with ‘XXI Century Blood’. No argument, no option. MUST. Period. End of discussion. Your welcome 😊
Gotcha 🥰
I always find the music video is distracting and takes away from the song
Go down that rabbit hole... take the red pill.
Will do!
I was never a Metallica fan either. I did see them live in 1985 but the only reason I went is because I loved the two supporting acts. Metallica is huge but I don't get it. Not my thing.
1985 was the best year ever 😉
@@ashlenamusic you were born in 1985? Just a guess.🤔
@scottlafleur4148 🥇🥇🥇
The moment they cut their hair in the mid-90s I couldn't take them seriously anymore. A very silly reason, but everything about them changed at that time, and they never got it back. One of the most important bands in all of rock, to an impotent joke over night. Those first 5 albums are all absolutely amazing, then they completely folded and went grunge.
I'm shocked that you liked that, especially given the audio quality. It's one of their later songs, when they went back to their metal roots. If you like that I promise you'd love their album Master Of Puppets - it's considered the greatest metal album of all time, and for good reason. Check out the title track from Live In Seattle - when the band was at the absolute peak of their powers.
James Hetfield is one of metal's greatest rhythm guitarists, singers, songwriters, and frontmen. The band are legends for a reason. This was Metallica at a 4 imo, but they used to go to 11.
If you want more Metallica, and you like live performances like I think you do - Live In Seattle 89 is one of the all around greatest concerts I've ever seen. The energy is absolutely electric, both the band and the crowd are on fire, and Metallica is an absolute machine. There's a newer high quality version on youtube as well.
I'm so glad you liked them so much. They were such an amazing band. Apparently to some they still are. I've given them very little attention since the 90s, but I'm glad I watched this video. Good vibes.
I hope it doesn't happen to the Warning because that would be a sad day.
Load is a masterpiece with huge bangers. A classic album. 🤘

So funny you're impressed by the drummer cause he's every trolls favorite band member to shit on
Why????
@ashlenamusic people hate success and talent I guess. They can't just enjoy art or move on if it doesn't do anything for them.
Weird!
Pau is a far better drummer than Lars. Not even close.
I agree
LIVE versions are total shit, especially for first reactions. Have some balls and react to the official video next time.
Why is that? please explain,
WTF, it's Ashlena channel and she goes on what she wants to react to. We don't mind your opinion, Metallica & The Warning are home on stage so it's totally right to do the live versions.🤘
Have some balls… no thanks.
