Warning this is a long video, a lot of explanation but something I’ve wanted to do for a while
Loving my inspire 3. Just wish the X9's were interchangeable.
I don't have a need for such a great setup, but I enjoy watching just for the knowledge and to hear you teach as I don't see your videos as often as in the past, I assume because you are busy making a living. I got the Mavic 3 and Mini 4 Pro but need to get out and use them more.
What is the shutter speed that you are using or shutter angle when it comes to getting banding and flickering that’s the only reason I can’t use 50 FPS in the properties I ended up having to just do 30 FPS because I keep getting flickering and then the only way I can get rid of it is by either over cranking or under cranking a lot, which starts to look unnaturalin your footage, especially the properties
Great video, but I was waiting for some focused closeup shots of the Ronin4D itself. Maybe next time (?).

I have been doing the same thing for my real estate video business as well is the reason why I bought this camera and I absolutely love it. The only thing I don’t like is that for some reason, my footage seems very soft and doesn’t look nearly as sharp as Sony.

How much focal length would you say is lost by cropping horizontal footage into vertical footage for a reel? Would cropping in wide shots with the laowa 9mm still be too tight for vertical real estate content in your opinion?
Pretty bummed they didn’t add a vertical orientation feature on this thing, but I know it’s marketed as a cinema camera. The lack of full frame vertical is the main thing holding me back from switching over to the 4d.

How can you tell the frequency of the lights? Are you using a meter or something?
US is 60hz and Europe is 50hz however certain LEDs here in the US are refreshing at 50hz
Really useful and interesting video. The comment about going the higher-quality route vs others looking for shortcuts & lower quality - fantastic way to separate from others, and it's something that will pay off (and bring additional business).
Just hoping the proposed DJI blacklisting legislation that just made its way through the House committee dies on the vine. I'm gun-shy on any further DJI purchases until there is some resolution on that.
I think it will die but it’s a fear constantly in the back of my mind

Thanx, Ken. Great video. Q. Why do a lot of the videos in the first half look like they are dropping frames, creating that jerk, but later in your presentation, they seem okay?
Likely because it’s 23.98 and UA-cam doesn’t really favor it
Also I shot some in 30 fps and some in 23.98 this video is 23.98 so it’s mixed frame rates
Why you dont shoot in 8k with so y a1? Is better quality
8K doesn’t film high frame rates and it’s not needed for real estate at all period
@OriginaldoBo Great review, Ken!! I watch creators who review products I'm interested in, and DJI is a great company with great products. That being said, to follow up to your beginning comments, I say to you Sir that there is NEVER a bad or questionable (at best) investment in upgrading your quality. In your later commentary, I completely understand about the Ronin 4D system being not necessarily the best that you need for your real estate videos (Z Axis particularly). However, for the camera quality, features and other bonuses, I think you having the Ronin 4D will up your game above all the rest. Just the footage you showed in this video, I would rather watch cinema professional movie quality on a real estate tour than that of the typical video quality you mentioned. I watch another creator here on UA-cam who reviews luxury homes, and the quality of his camera man is superb in my opinion. Maybe not Ronin 4D, but pretty darn close. Also, having a Ronin 4D, you can do other types of movies/videos as well. So to you, I say great choice!!!!

That is an amazing rig! I'm still figuring out how to properly utilize the focus on my A7iv with the rs3 mini, on the reveals particularly. Dji makes some pretty great products. I would have liked to see you using it, but Def a nice review. Well done bro.

This is a great breakdown. You're so right when you mention how hard it is to find creators covering the aspects of a camera directly related to real estate work as opposed to how it functions for other commercial and cinematic purposes. Thanks for the information

I am 78 and was a part-time semi-pro photographer in my college days and into my 40s meaning 35mm film cameras which were about as expensive as today. I did weddings and parties mostly for people I knew or word of mouth. I gave it up once VHS started fading. My question is, and likely few will know the answer, I used filters on my 35mm but don't remember ND filters existing, yet they should have. Film is a bit different than digital, yet ND filters should have served the same purposes. It is possible that they existed but I just didn't know the purpose, or didn't think I needed them for what I did. I fly drones now, recreationally.
The purpose for an ED filter is mostly to be able to control the ISO value while also not having to adjust the shutter or aperture especially for video. When it comes to photography, it’s not quite as essential unless you’re doing something that requires long exposure but with Real estate, I need the sharpest possible image so I’ll let typically adjust my aperture when doing photography versus really focusing on what the shutter does.
great video, Have you played with baked in colr profiles ? I record in 709 but im looking for more vibrant or other looks i can bake in.
Also i sue the flex system for driving shots its a lot of fun

Love your work man!! Do you find yourself missing full frame 4k 120? Or with the 6k that’s pretty much an afterthought? I would imagine the latter most likely!
I switched to 50fps or 48fps I rarely shot 120 , my videos are exported to 23.98 but I interpret my my 48 or 50 to 23.98 in post when needed
