    Curtis, you have no idea how grateful I am for this video. I have been looking for a handle grip to pair with my already attached two SmallRig QR NATO Handle (Rubber) with Safety Rail 2084.
    This PGYTECH handgrip Mount Plus will perfectly sit in-between one of those handles and the body of the Ronin-S. I don't have to dismount anything. There's an additional accessory worth mentioning and it's the DJI Ronin-S Part 20 Universal Mount which allows you to switch to V-mount power source instead of using the BG-37 grip. Thanks again.

      Adam thank you for letting me know about the Universal part for v mount, that's a life saver as well. Cheers!

    7:48 I re-watched this part (weird, I know) several times, this defines your "look" and needs to be your signature move going forward! LOL

    Just got an A7IV and Ronin S this past weekend, and they've been great so far! I was concerned that the A7IV isn't compatible with the Ronin S (according to the website), but they've been working well together I think. I'm assuming the focus wheel is one of the things that don't work on the A7IV. Let me know.
    P.S. My eyes popped when I saw your sub count. The quality, detail, and info in this video were great and you definitely deserve WAY over 10k subs! Liked and subbed!

    • @CurtisAlvaro
      @CurtisAlvaro  Місяць тому +1

      That's great to hear! The focus wheel is definitely an option still if you have the whole setup but I found the autofocus is great and if I need to go more manual, I'd go handheld.
      I appreciate the like and sub! I'm working on it when I have the time, especially with all the negativity lately and in general on youtube. Definitely more videos in the pipeline!

      @@CurtisAlvaro Agreed! Any idea what else I need to complete the setup for the focus wheel? A link maybe?
      Great to hear! Can’t wait to see more!

      Check local shops for used or maybe fbook marketplace. I'm not sure dji sells the specific focus wheel for S anymore. If not, Amazon!

    I have 3 gimbals - the Original DJI Roin S, the Ronin RS2 and the Zhijun Crane M2S. I can honestly say I enjoy using the Oroginal DJI Ronin S the most because it felt most sturdy, rugged and felt overall better built - yes, it's a little heavier and less compact and definitely needs a small extension pole, the grip handle similar to the one shown and fordable tripod legs, but it's still my favorite to use.

    • @CurtisAlvaro
      @CurtisAlvaro  Місяць тому +1

      Yes agree! Sometimes just having a price of mind like you said - sturdy, rugged, durable of a gimbal is clutch!

      @@CurtisAlvaro by the way, is that quick release you used the Falcam F38 plate - how to install it onto the Ronin original plate - and some people have the PGYTECH tripod handle pointed the other way around - have you tried both ways and which is better? ua-cam.com/video/nXNL5kN6MrM/v-deo.html

      @@DungarooTV the quick release plate I got is compatible with dji gimbal and it is the f38. My camera has the plate built in. You can either use the provided dji plate and add the quick release or buy a fully ready one. www.ulanzi.com/products/falcam-f38-quick-release-system-for-dji-rs-2-rsc-2-rs3-rs3-pro-gimbals-2408?currency=USD&variant=43722054271197&Google%20Shopping&stkn=100b30dffdd7&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwjqWzBhAqEiwAQmtgT6RYpGs-kHuvdOEz7bX6orfQHtwamDAa_FOmpCrMBtL_UToAbx5zQBoCReQQAvD_BwE

    Thank you Curtis for this great video, I am also about to use again my forgotten Ronin S, and I wanted to ask you which small monitor hangs best on the Ronin S and allows the adding of Luts? I am using a Sony camera.

    • @CurtisAlvaro
      @CurtisAlvaro  8 днів тому +1

      There's definitely monitors under 200$ they could accept luts. I do know some common brands like: feelworld smallhd and portkeys!

    yooooooo Love the video man! I actually went backwards, been shooting video for over 6 years now and the last 2 years Ive been using the RS3 until it broke and I picked up a cheap ronin S from a buddy. The only big upside to the RS3 was the auto locking feature but honestly the Ronin S is like you said a WORK HORSE!!! No big need to upgrade and it holds my Sony A7SIII with a cage, mics, and lights with ZERO issue. Not worth the extra cash IMO.

    • @CurtisAlvaro
      @CurtisAlvaro  2 місяці тому

      I'm with you bro! Still a workhorse, still usable. I'm seeing a lot of friends in small productions, youtubers; still using the gimbal which a feat in its on. The RS4/RS4 pro looks promising because of the weight. As you know the Ronin s can be hefty after long shoots, which is a big factor for me right now

    Great video Curtis. I've bought the gimbal, Ronin S. I've had it for years and never felt confident to use it. But now gradually getting into it. For car events and my local area which is cool. Any software you recommend editing footage on?

      Amazing @thatcarladmatt !!
      whatever you feel comfortable on trying but lots of starting factors:
      Davinci Resolve free version to get started with editing and color grading.
      Premiere Pro is good if you use multiple Adobe software but can be similar to DR.
      And honestly - Canva. If its super simple, basic stuff it can definitely handle it!

    HI again bro, with the Smallrig side-handle 7:03 what's that hotshoe thing on top of the monitor screw lever (has the little yellow placeholder pin next to it)? Why is that pin there?

    • @CurtisAlvaro
      @CurtisAlvaro  Місяць тому +1

      It's just a safety pin when attaching arca Swiss accessories

    Perfect timing for this video because I'm about to get a Ronin S this weekend. Definitely gonna get the attachments you have. Question though, why does yours wobble so much on the tripod legs? Do the quick release attachments make the connection loose? Or was something not screwed in tight?

    • @CurtisAlvaro
      @CurtisAlvaro  3 місяці тому

      Great question! So I have 2 quick release attachments for the zhiyun quick release. This was my tester which I put too much wd40. My second one I did less and it's solid so use that now. Over doing it made it a Lil loose but the other one is solid and doesn't wobble.

    • @DungarooTV
      @DungarooTV Місяць тому

      I personally would get an extension pole (looks carbon fiber with a 1/4 inch on the bottom) - then get a separate tripod legs for the bottom then use the DJI stock tripid handle for the DJI handle on top! Mine doesn't wobble at all.
