His wife is Sandra Cush, NOT Cash, i dated Sandras Sister for years and knew Jeff and Sandra well, stayed at River Hall and witnessed his car collection, and his guitars, a really nice unpretentious guy, Sandra is a lovely lady and also a vegetarian, cooks a mean veggie shepherds pie, i thought it was normal meat.

I was on a tv. show called Shiveree , and the Yardbirds were on . I was front stage and was at his feet , so I asked him " Can't you afford a new guitar ? cause it was all scratched up and had band aids on it. He looked down on me and looked like he wanted to kick me in the face ! I was only 14 and was starting guitar. Years later I saw him with Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood . I got to chat with Rod before he went on stage and he was really cool . I told him this story and he laughed !

I played in a support band to the Jeff Beck Group in 1968. Jeff was very shy (as was Ronnie Wood on bass) but Rod Stewart was very friendly to us. Bizarre tale from that night: the drummer Micky Waller had opted to go on tour to Japan with The Walker Brothers so Jeff was using pickup drummers for a few gigs. On this night (in Rugby UK) the pickup drummer was Graeme Edge of The Moody Blues who was handy as he lived in nearby Birmingham. Before the audience arrived we got to see them run through intros, stops, etc., which weren't all that tricky as the JBG repertoire was very much blues-based. We pooled our gear with the JBG and Graeme Edge was using his drum kit with the very distinctive 'Moody Blues' graphic, which probably caused a bit of confusion when the curtain went back on us! I've been a fan of Jeff's since seeing him play in the Yardbirds in Coventry in about 1965. All happy memories.

Exactly my thoughts on him, too! Beck, the word " unique" doesn't do Jeff justice, he's what baseball card collectors call a "1of1" which means it's the ONLY 1 in the entire world, the card company made one card of that player to make sure of it's very $$$$ expensive value for collectors. Jeff is Exactly 💯 that. So, my fav.album he's is Every Picture tells a Story, which I believe Maggie May is on? Possibly? 🤔And, he's great, off the charts on Blow by Blow, jazz- Rock @ it's finest 👌 or nowadays it's called Fusion, I think?🎶🎹

Jeff was booted from the Yardbirds after pulling a temper tantrum in late '66 - he didn't 'retire'. With Jimmy Page also in the band at that time they continued with just him, eventually evolving into Led Zeppelin.
Beck's first single wasn't 'Love is Blue'; that was his third. The first was 'Hi Ho Silver Lining', which feature John Paul Jones on the bass. The second was 'Tallyman', then 'Love is Blue'. The songs were chosen by his producer, Mickie Most, which was during a time when Peter Grant took over management from Simon Napier Bell, when he absolved himself from the Yardbirds. In the photos of Jeff with the Yardbirds, one actually shows Clapton, while another shows Clapton, then with the Bluesbreakers but just guesting in this instance, along with Beck.
When introducing 'Bassist Ron Wood' we are shown a pic of Rod Stewart. There were actually several drummers in the early lineup, including Viv Prince, Keith Moon's 'smash-em-up' here from the Pretty Things. Dunbar (and Wood, with Rod Stewart on backing vocal) played on 'Tallyman'/'Rock My Plimsoul' (single version, not the 'Truth' one) but quit to form his own band, the Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation because he said he found himself being the bandleader for Jeff's band, so he might as well have his own band. After Retaliation he had Blue Whale, which is when Frank Zappa saw him and stole him away to LA to join the Mothers.
'Truth' didn't sell well? It was a major hit in America and beyond, though as with Cream, not big in the UK.
Jeff is then referred to as a 'British rock singer'...
And he makes a lot of money from his songs? He doesn't really write tunes, just a few over the years. And endorsement deals? A little bit on his signature guitars, but that's hardly enough to pay the phone bill.
The photos of Jeff's house... The final one looks somewhat correct, with the multi-bay garage to the left.
As for guitars, true, he was without one when he joined the Yardbirds. He used their red Tele, which he said was rubbish, so he borrowed a Tele from former bandmate John Owen. When the Yardbirds toured with the Walker Bros., Jeff purchased a late 50s Esquire from John Walker (nee Maus) for about £70. That became his iconic instrument, though by mid '66 he was also wielding a Les Paul. He would go through a couple Les Pauls in the early Jeff Beck Group, eventually settling on a Strat. He got the oxblood Les Paul for BB&A, a time during which he used it and a Strat, which is what he also did during the 'Blow by Blow' and 'Wired' period. What happened to John Owen's Tele? It was used by Page with the Yardbirds (he stuck mirrors on it) and well into Led Zeppelin (debut album is on that guitar) during which time he removed the mirrors and added his 'dragon' design. Page never did return it, so Beck gifted Owen with one of his own Signature Strats. Page gifted Jeff with a plastic G-40 Maccaferri guitar, which he initially did not like - he felt Page was playing some kind of joke on him - but quickly learned to love and apparently plays often when at home.
Though Jeff has been married only twice, he did have a long-term girlfriend in model-turned-animal rescuer Celia Hammond, for whom Donovan wrote the hit song 'Cecelia of the Seals'.
Whew! These clips are typically fraught with errors, and this one is as bad as all the rest.

"bassist, Ron Wood" which shows Rod and Jeff, but no Ron. The red Telecaster was the Yardbirds' Tele which Jeff played at first. Eventually he bought his own Tele (actually an Esquire with a 2nd pickup). He got it from John Maus who was one of the Walker Brothers. It was Maus that tried sanding down the edge of the Tele where the elbow usually settles, not Jeff.

The Oxblood Les Paul belonged to Memphis guitarist Buddy Davis formerly of Target with Jimi Jamison. It wasn’t from Strings and Things . Buddy is still good mates with Jeff Beck and sold him the guitar in 1973.

R I P. Jeff Beck!! You are my favorite guitar player.
But Jeff was only worth 18 millons $ when he died?
From a Yank: not bloody likely!!
That guy had much more $ than that@@!

Through the seventies I remember Carmine Appice's last name pronounced App-a-see...
Particularly when referring to Beck, Bogart and Appice.
