Out of this world beautiful. For crying out loud, she's floating out there. This is the beginning of her decade long reign. The start of the Kwan dynasty. When she was the sport.
Exactamundo. And we never will. Sadly there will only be one M.K. in this lifetime. Let's just appreciate we were previlege and blessed to have experience her long reign at the top. Simply The G.O.A.T..
Her artistry was the most difficult technique which the other skaters never touched the level. 💯 And of course , Michelle's technique was stable and great enough to keep top for more than 10 years. ❤
@@salreal4479 for me, the best it looked in that era was at the 2005 nats, especially in the Spartacus short. Would've been interesting to see how Michelle would've developed technically with a coach like Rafael; with the new system nipping at her heels, and how she would've actually performed in Torino. Too bad she had a career-ending injury. 😞
@@kjvill2013 If they never changed the Olympic years. Michelle would've been a 2 time Olympic Champion. 1996 and 2000, and possibly another medal in 2004.
I wish most Ladies Figure Skaters would work on the leg extensions in their spirals in 2018. It would look more elegant to see better spiral sequences.
I'm just one big goose bump :) She brings a tear to my eye every time I see her skate. She really is what commentator Dick Button has described her: "an honest skater". She is purely feminine and a decent role model. A true classic.

This is figure skating royalty here. We will never see this kind of beauty, this kind of magic on ice ever again.
You should look at the skating of Mariah Bell.

That lutz looks like a true back outside edge!
Absolutely!
She lost that when she matured around 1998 and got it back when she started working with Artunian around late 2003.
@@kjvill2013 The technique def change with Aratunian, it did at times looked on the flat edge though.

I love this SP program.
My favorite SP of all.

I LIVEEEEEEEEE for this performance
It is funny you say easily 1st. I copied Kwiatkowski's marks and 2 judges actually had her 1st over Michelle so easily is overstating it.
someone have the long program?
Yes
@Karlinberlin1 look to the menu at the right.
