Hancock is a down-and-out superhero who's forced to employ a PR expert to help repair his image when the public grows weary of all the damage he's inflicted during his lifesaving heroics. I never understood this scene. Did the prisoners actually think that Hancock no longer had his powers?

Maybe. They probably thought that if Hancock was in prison, then he didn't have powers because how could prison hold him then?

Why did they put him in regular prison? At best, this man should have been in federal maximum prison. It would have taken him longer to get out... maybe?
