- I've had an interesting experience with toasters over the Years, so I decided to have a little bit of fun and set myself a challenge - trying to make a 3 course meal using just the toaster. So with the help of my Patreon supporters we create 3 surprisingly yummy recipes - garlic mushrooms on toast, steak and vegetables plus a chocolate cream cheese filled brioche with warmed fruit and chocolate sauce!

Clotted cream, mushrooms and garlic. Now there's a combination I've not heard of before...
Maybe not a hotel room but this concept would be great for office kitchens!

As I saw his nails I hurried to read the comments because I just knew someone was going to mention them. But oddly enough, i've only read like two comments about it.Which considering how crazy comment sections can get over weirdly specific things (especially nail hygiene/appearance which is surprisingly a big trigger for a lot of people...Gotta be like one of the biggest things. Although I can somewhat understand in this situation as good nail hygiene is kind of expected when preparing food. But like Barry explained there was a good reason for it.), I was actually expecting that WAY more people would've mentioned it.
Maybe it just too fast and not many people caught it, or maybe it just very telling of how awesome and thoughtful the Barry Lewis community/fanbase is..? I'm leaning towards the latter rather than the former because genuinely good people like Barry tend to attract other good people.
Haven't watched yet, and I'm just shocked he's still allowed a toaster 😂

As a coeliac I use the toaster bags so that I can toast gluten free bread without cross contamination!
The last one is brilliant and my favorite
The numbers on the toaster are for the length of cooking time, NOT the power. The toaster cooks at full power constantly, it just cooks things more on higher numbers as they're in the toaster for longer. Love the video by the way, and a huge well done on the kickstarter campaign, can't wait to come to Weston for some pizza!
May I suggest getting a separate toaster just for these “hacks”.

When I was a kid I'd catch snakes and keep them and one got out in the middle of the night next morning my mom was making toast for breakfast the toaster was making alot more smoke than normal and smelled burnt so after breakfast she went to clean it and found my snake in the toaster so we all ate snake smoked toast and now one of my sisters cant eat toast still
wowzers. haha.

If you are in an hotel room, and there's no toaster - use the trouser press instead. Garlic, cream, and 'shrooms - nobody will ever know.
Time to try this at home.
Update: The house burnt down, my family is dead, but it's okay, I blamed it on the electricals/wiring. There will be a massive payout from the insurance as well.

You're damn right I won't. Most dangerous (to my toaster) thing I'm willing to go for is a toastable pita with salami and cheese in it.
Pittas are good cooked in the oven with pizza sauce, selected sliced veg & cheese in. Don't forget the fresh Basil!

In the true Barry Lewis spirit, I decided to make toast today, and just as I plunged the bread into its pit to become toasted to toasty heaven....my fuse box went out and all the plug sockets for downstairs decided to stop working. Feeling like a true Barry right now.
You need a toaster with wider deeper slots. I regularly cook steak in the toaster. No problems and tastes great. I live alone so it’s very convenient and no mess. Just wash and rinse the bags with the dishes. Can be used up to about 50 times.

we use the toaster bags when people have allergi like
celiac disease so we don't need 2 toasters :)

I managed to get a pop tart stuck in my toaster a few weeks ago. Was fishing it out with a skewer and it just crumbled into bits and I had to take the toaster apart to get all the strawberry jam out.
