Mistitled clickbait! A rock wallaby is not a kangaroo and is no bigger than a large cat whereas kangaroos (known as roos downunder) can be as tall as an adult male when they stand up straight.
Naw. Not clickbait, this channel is actually one of the more legit nature channels on YT and I've watched it a lot. It never uses clickbait. I believe this was an actual error, wallaby vs kangaroo.
Not just as tall they can grow to be 8ft they are absoldute units, its honestly crazy to think that they are natural prey for this bird, but they are ibe seen it first hand out in the bush its crazy, they team up in pairs and they will take turns swooping and tricking the roo into attacking and also it cornering so it has to make sharp turns, they will do this for hours until the roo grows tired

Wallaby are technically kangaroos
@@allannelson10 No, they're not.
Funny how the bird pounced right where the camera was. One wonders who really killed the wallaby (NOT a kangaroo).
@W W 👍🏻
That happens a lot. You can always tell and feel the difference between a staged hunt and a natural hunt.
@W W there are no breeds of kangaroos, only species. Wallabies are in the same family but are different species
Of the meme says it a kangaroo, then it's a fn kangaroo 🦘. Kapish?
Likely just B roll from a different kill to make the scene more dramatic, looks real to me
Looks like you stumbled across an eagle eating a 'roo and made the rest up.
I was thinking the same thing. The kangaroo was already dead or they shot it. Whenever these videos are made and they don't show the actual kill it is always fake. 👎
Actaully wedgetailed eagles do hunt roos you can literally search it on Google they are one of the only known predators to kangaroos and also thats a wallaby not a roo they messed up thw title cause roos are anywhere from 4ft to 8ft tall
@@Vegeta.422 They didn't mess up their title. It's clickbait.
@@Vegeta.422 #1) Wallabies ARE small species of kangaroos. #2) Dingoes are also predators of kangaroos.
@@andrewzepf7510 1. I said they are ONE of the only known predators to kangaroos i didn't say the were the only known predators
2. A wallaby is not a small species of kangaroo they are just so similar that scientist have placed them in the same family.
Since when as a wallaby been a kangaroo? Click bait again.
Cool how they actually got the camera Inside the kangaroo!
So you get an Aussie bloke to narrate about Aussie content and then you use the Imperial system to describe measurements............. Who TF wrote this?????

Doubt if a wedge tailed eagle would attempt to attack a kangaroo. A small wallaby, maybe. A kangaroo is too large an animal even for an eagle.
For one eagle yes
But the wedge tailed eagle sometimes in groups can take down an adult kangaroo

I love the Australian accent and can listen to hours without any boredom. Your content is also of top notch! Wish you could make longer videos.
Ok, so the two wedge tail eagles I saw on the road in Victoria (Wilson’s Prom) were actually husband & wife.
Viewing a real kill would have been awesome. However, I do appreciate learning about the Wedgetail Eagle. I was under the impression that the Stellar Sea Eagle and The Harpy's Grey had the widest wing span. You learn something new every day. 😊
Yeah from the video it does look like the Roo was already dead and the eagle found it. But these eagles 100% hunt kangaroos
The eagle has a ‘really concerned’ look
I love how the camera cut right before the Eagle attacked it

Fake click bate. The title should have been "Eagel attacks rabbit."
It was a rock wallaby that they got confused with. Obviously the writer isn't Australian.
Lmao
@@chaolan77 The only living thing the eagle attacked was a rabbit.
The rock wallaby was already dead. It was probably shot so they could set up the film shoot.
And the Tasmanian sub species of Wedge Tailed Eagle is even bigger.. sadly very endangered though, mainly due to the same humans that wiped out the Tassie Tiger, sheep farmers.
"Wedgies" are also scavengers, and will often take to eating road kill. problem is they're so big, and heavy after eating the "free meal", that it takes them ages to take off when a car comes along, often ending up as an ornament on the front or windscreen.
It's not a kangaroo but a wallaby
Now that is what you call an Eagle.
🙄 where is the kangaroo?
There are really good views of this eagle in this video. By only complaints are with the overly melodramatic tone of the narration. And claiming the wingspan of the Wedge tailed eagle is almost ten feet is an exaggeration. It's more like 8 feet or about 2.5 m.
I'm pretty sure I saw one of these take off over some trees once out of the corner of my eye, I was shocked because it was the biggest bird I'd ever seen in my life. Would love to see another one again in the wild sometime.
🦅 is the True King👑 Of The Sky.
Watch me wallabies feed, mate, watch me wallabies feed.
They're a dangerous breed, mate, so watch me wallabies feed.
Had one of these fly right over the top of my car while driving the other day, absolutely incredible.
10 foot wingspan. Way over exaggerated.
2:00 in shows a black kite not a wedge tailed eagle lmfao.
Wedgies are probably my favourite animal, I already like birds and its a pretty awesome bird lol, i have noticed pairs hunt together too, if you see one circling around in the sky you'll usually spot another one.
Hmm. Not only in looks, but they are similar to our eagle. The philippine eagle
Wedge tails are really serious heavy duty predators much more powerful than you'd even imagine it would be.
They have nothing on magpies but
LOL True!@@nolesy34
Amazing birds.

It will be very hard to escape from wedge-tailed eagles’ aerial assault in an open field due to the strong and scary talons…😳😳BTW, I am wondering if the eagle could carry the wallaby to the nest…🤔
Thank you for sharing this amazing video! 🤗👍
🔆AniFam〽️
Yes it's very likely that it can. I can give an example of a golden eagle. They are known to hunt goats that live on the hills. Golden eagles tend to grab goats on their heads with their vice like talons. They drag them of the cliff and send them plummeting to their demise. However if the hill is high enough, the Eagle glides with the goat clutched on its vice like feet as if its flying with its prey. There was another clip of the Golden eagle that tried to swoop on a 1 or 2 year old infant, it lifted it and was close to flying away but the dad saved his child in time!
The wedge tailed Eagle is slightly bigger than the golden eagle with a slightly bigger wing span so catching and flying off with wallabies is something they can do, though I think it's never been recorded on film.
@@rafihaq9321 Thank you very much for your excellent comment~🤗 Your explanation makes sense!👍👍 Considering the geographical features in the video, it may be possible for the eagle to glide with the wallaby, which should be smaller than a normal kangaroo…
@@AniFam This documentary shows the strength of the golden eagle. Its in Spanish (I think) but after watching this, you can't help but to appreciate and be disturbed with how strong these eagles can get!

@@rafihaq9321 Great! Thank you~ 🤗👍My young daughter created an eagle (Bald Eagle) video before, but how much the eagles can carry was not included...
@@rafihaq9321 The Wedged tailed eagle is less than half the weight of the Golden eagle and carry things requires muscle. They may be bigger in wingspan but thats only because of the vast distances they cover.Well No they cant carry Wallabies at all they are far too heavy.Wedged tailes eagles with a full crop of meat cant get over a 2 metre high wire fence, from a standing start.
This should be our national animal 🦅
So, where's the Eagle attacking a Kangaroo?... Misleading titles are among the worst offenses.
Despite the slight error, this eagle is an apex predator.

This channel seems to love splicing together unrelated clips to make up a story, they’ve done the exact same thing with most of their videos. The perentie hunting a kangaroo video is probably one of the worst for this
Sucks falconry isnt allowed in Australia.

"FlEsH" Why u saying it like that! !!
Ravens and eagles have interesting interactions. I’ve seen that a few times.
I saw no kangaroos. In fact I have never seen an eagle to be able to kill a kangaroo.
Wrong title? Why wasn't the actual kill shown?
Such a beautiful creature.
What is not large in Australia? 😩
That’s a mount in wow
Super misleading title
That's a wallaby not a kangaroo.
The queen of the outback.
"like Bonnie and Clyde this pair works together to provide food for their chicks"? Who wrote this lines !
The research is as appalling as the narration. What centaury do they think this is,12 foot wingspan! The average would be closer to 2 metres with the males being smaller.Young eagles do not have voracious appetites, they call when hungry and one rabbit is enough for both parents and chicks. This whole video is shonky at best and should be called out.
I saw 2 massive wedge tail eagles( they r a couple) today, they were eating a dead kangaroo (that would of been hit by a car).
No doubt that Eagle are an amazing creature , but i failed to see the part that the eagle are actually attacking kangaroo in this video 😢
The wallaby was shot and fed to the eagle. "Love Nature' LOL

Tell the truth. You make it seem like they can take down prey over 15 lbs. Just like the eagles that claim that they can take down wolves,. it's all lies. Bald eagles can lift weights of up to 6 pounds or half their weight or less. The recorded maximum weight ever was of a fawn that was barely born and weighed about 10 lbs. The eagle grabbed it and attempted to take off but had to drop it after realizing that it could not fly with the added weight. The eagle is not picking up any joeys or kangaroos are anything heavier than 6 lbs. Birds like crows, eagles, owls and the like have been known to dive bomb people walking, jogging and hiking. Out
Its scary as! You hear the wind rushing and THUMP like someone threw a wet football, luckily they go for the backpack
