There is a safer way to carry those pallets, you lay about 3 to 4 or more stacked on top of each other in the bottom of the trailer, then you load the rest on top standing upright, you will be able to load more and safer on the road since none will fall out. have fun and be safe.
In my neck of the woods, I stay in Tucker it's actually a place in Tucker that's recycles wood pallets. I also know I guy who takes them to use for firewood. Manny even repaired my vehicles a few times
Awesome video! I feel your pain I’ve been in your same shoes, I used to go to DeKalb landfill and wait 1 hour to 2 hours when they were $33 a ton. To wait that long and having more jobs on their schedule is annoying. now you need to live in DeKalb to dump, but they are pro rated 1,300 pounds there is $61. Still DeKalb is $95 a ton if you live there. Marietta is my only landfill now $70 a ton but the wait time is faster, some days the line starts at the road, just stay in the left lane scale and you’ll go faster, you have a dump trailer, no need to wait for cars that are going to unload by hand to move out the way on the right lane scale.

I used to work at a place called Macintosh pallets here in N.Y. we would repair them an the ones we could we would the good boards off an reuse them an the ones we couldn't went to the shredder

The places around me have the scrap guys pick up all the metal for free and they keep what they make from the scrap yard ,but the plastic just piles up at the shop. @Realcustomz0 They definitely are good trailers, but that could happen to any brand running the scissor lifts. That's why I prefer a telescopic lift cylinder they will lift without hesitation!
@JackofHaulTrades I sell them to a scrap yard, but that scrap yard rips people off, and I think they still do it, but they pay one of the lowest prices in LA for metal. They put them in a special dumpster, and I'm not sure what happens after.

Hey brotha! Yes, that is a Ram 2500 diesel. I would recommend you save up for a bigger truck before you get a dump trailer they are too heavy to be hauled around daily by a Ram 1500 truck.

I had plans at first on trying to make some money with it. Thing is, I'm too scared to leave it anywhere overnight, and I like my stuff too much to rent it out. Seems like people just tear your stuff up on purpose! But I've been thinking I want to try junk hauling. I often have three days in a row off every week. That might be enough time to get my feet wet. But I'm not sure if three days would be enough to pay for insurance and dot and other costs?

@ttgk8506 I got mine 16ft built up to 3ft walls for my mini skidsteer. It struggles lifting over 4ft walls unfortunately. Otherwise, I would have stuck to 4ft walls. What brand is your trailer sir?
theres a company here in the UK who buys bumpers to regrind the plastic, equivalent to $200 a ton in US money, shame you guys cant recycle them like that

@tp8030 What state are you in? MAXXD looks like a nice trailer, but they cost a nice dollar as well. All my dump trailers are made by Top Shelf Trailers in Yulle, Florida. They got some heavy-duty dump trailers at an affordable price. Plus, if you tell them I sent you their way, they will give you a discount on top!

In Europe we have a deposit system for standard pallets. $5 each for quality pallets gives quite an incentive to return them.

Here in NE Texas pallet companies will buy used pallets. If even a buck a piece it's better than paying landfill fee to get rid of them.

$1500. I bid it by the job, not by the load. But it did end up taking me 3 loads to complete the job

@JackofHaulTrades I got the 16 with 4ft walls. I can demo 2 bathrooms and a kitchen to the studs and fit it all in no problem
@ttgk8506 I got mine 16ft built up to 3ft walls for my mini skidsteer. It struggles lifting over 4ft walls unfortunately. Otherwise, I would have stuck to 4ft walls. What brand is your trailer sir?

@tp8030 What state are you in? MAXXD looks like a nice trailer, but they cost a nice dollar as well. All my dump trailers are made by Top Shelf Trailers in Yulle, Florida. They got some heavy-duty dump trailers at an affordable price. Plus, if you tell them I sent you their way, they will give you a discount on top!
