I know this is an older video but I'd never seen an axle with the grease zerk in the axle like yours. This lead me down a rabbit hole of Googling it. I see a lot of people recommending bearing buddies, which are great but I don't think they'll work on those axles. When you pump grease in your zerk it comes out the spindle and pushes the old grease out. Bearing buddy just pushes grease into the front of the bearing. What you have seems way better even though it's a little more work a couple of times a year. I've watched Mr.Dig youtube, he's at a landfill in Georgia and they have an excavator with an electromagnetic head for picking metals out.

I bought some of the cable cutters from HF for my grandson to scrap my copper. He cut 1 1/2” copper with 2 bites! We had a couple of hundred pounds of yellow brass flush valves.

Watching the newer videos now, been binge watching your older stuff! When you're ready to upgrade your saw look hard at the 462 instead of the 500i that Ive heard you say you want. A little cheaper and a better fit for what you're doing. I needed a new saw 3 years ago, middle of Covid and wanted the 462, had been running 440s and 441s. Couldn't get ANY pro saw, almost bought a Husqvarna but just kept using a ported 036. Walked into the saw shop and there sat a 500i, couldn't wait for who knows how long so I bought it. Beast for sure but is so much overkill. Have you tried County line bar oil from Tractor supply? I prefer it over the Stihl oil and around here late summer they run a sale for $4-5 a gallon and I stock up!

Its much easier to sort the copper, aluminium and other metals so as to clean up so that you just have aluminium on its own(as you're doing anyway) because the yard will give you breakage, thus making you getting less money. Some items though are too sh1te and taking too much time on them isnt worth it, you probably know that anyway big fella. All the best

I bought the 25 ton last July, kinda hilarious they didn't tell me about the metal plug so mine still has the plastic plug! Did you figure the leg out yet? No need to take the bolt out, the handle with the spring has the hook/lock mechanism, pull it and fold the leg up then spring holds the leg up so you dont have to use the rubber thing you did. X2 on the shelf deal, I think they call them "log catcher". Theyre $69-79 up here in Michigan. One thing I think I should warn you about is watch the smaller logs that will drop between the rails, when the log splits it gets smashed up against the rails and could damage the splitter or get reaaly stuck! Are the Solo stoves or little metal fire pits popular around you? Alot of guys cut the pieces half as long and charge more specifically for those fire pits.

I don’t go scrap because I don’t have the space, but I can see where it makes it worth it. $83 you made. Plus, at my land fills for 1,000 pounds it’s $60. So you really made $143. That’s a phone bill!

You can put a file to the electric motors in figure out if they're copper if they're copper is worth tearing them down to get the copper out and if they're aluminum selling as electric motors

I would guess metal inside heater is cast aluminum , not lead?

I was wrong, when you first showed the baseboard heating system, I thought it would be hot water heating not electric. That looks like cast aluminum fins.

That's another thing for you to do if not busy clean this stuff up are split firewood got options so scrap stuff gets you money for gas for splitter so get paid when sold but always busy and know how to make a dollar scrap there is many ways to do it get in and clean the wire with the stripper thing are do like you do get rid of it and make money without the hassle of all that stuff thing is everything you do i have done in my line of work somehow it comes up are friends do it and im around so learning either way good sorry long but someone who likes to spout off thanks for posting my friend

I keep three steel 55 gallon barrels for scrapping. I collect copper , aluminum and brass. Wires and motors will go into a 5 gallon bucket . When full I will process each bucket. Usually on a slow or rainy day. Saving the metals , you can turn them in when the prices are right.
