Hi mate. Thanks a lot. I managed to link up my NVR to the IVMS and everything shows on screen as yours does. I have no cameras plugged in, just the nvr to my modem and modem to mac. Now i want to access video footage I know is on the box. Can you tell me where I go to view recorded footage please, I'm a beginner at this stuff! To illustrate this...I spent 3 hrs trying to connect my modem through the camera POE Lam rather than the actual Lan port on the recorder! Doh!
Hi, I have a (macbook pro) macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6 I downloaded the IVMS 4200 app on my mac. I installed but when i click on device management, it shows nothing inside there. I can not even click on the activate button. what should i do?
@@miecctv I have same problem, but i am at home and the cameras is in my store, different network. this can work for me? What can i do? i cant click anything!
There's a handy shortcut to deal with the unidentified developer notification that avoids the need to open System Preferences. A right-click on the installer will open a contextual menu that includes an open command. Using open from that menu generates a dialog box that provides the option to add the app to the allowed list and launch it in one shot. Cheers.
The latest version of OSX will no longer support any device using an NPAPI plugin as Apple has removed this functionality from Safari. Depending on your device there may be a firmware upgrade that allows it to work without a plugin.
I have Safari 13.0.3 and can see the device in Device Management just like you outline, but no video from the cams when I go to Main View. I know that the system is working because I can see the Cams on a TV monitor and on Hik-connect, but not on my MAC (OSX 10.14.6 - Mojave)
This will most likely be because you need to specify the encryption key in the IVMS software. To do this go to device management, then go to group, highlight your camera from the group and click modify and then enter your encryption key where it says "stream key". If you don't know your encryption key, in device management highlight you DVR or NVR and select remote configuration, then go to network and select hik connect, within this menu under verification code select "view licenses" this is your encryption key. Hope that helps.
No problems, glad we could help. On windows it prompts you for the encryption key but for some reason on OSX you have to be a mind reader and work it out yourself 😆
Hi, Thanks for this. I have the app installed on my Macbook air now but it's not showing my system. The system is up and running at home and currently viewing it from my phone on the Hic Connect app. Please can you advise how to get the IVMS 4200 working on my mac

Can I change the time on my DVR once I download this? Or does my mac have to be plugged in to my DVR to change it? Thanks
Hi, your video was really useful, however, when I go to the Main View the camera doesnt appear, any ideas why this might be ?
Do you have Hik connect enabled. If so there will be an encryption key which will stop the live view on OSX.
I clicked on you link and it does not show like yours and I can not find what you are pointing to. There is no left panel
I have updated the link in the description. You are looking for IVMS 4200 MAC.
The Hikvision website says "Product Discontinuation Notice of iVMS-4200 VS" - does that mean this software won't work anymore?
Some of the worst software I've ever used
Thank you for your time
really helpful.. followed it all. I got it up and going straight away,,, thanks

If it is not showing your device on the software ensure you have DHCP selected on the device so it picks up an address automatically from your network

Great. Thanks
I have Safari 13.1.2 and macOS High Sierra, 10.13.6 - I get the plugin error. Any help?
Is this working with other brands like Imou camera's and NVR's?

Has Hikvision removed the software for Macs? as my version require a plugin. Thanks

Good video. However, many controls, such as iris and focus do not work at all in my Mac, Mojave.

@@miecctv It Worked!! Thank you so much. I have wasted a week trying to get this connected. Pity this is not clearly indicated. Thanks again
