- Rishi Sunak has said he is “not aware” of any other Tory candidates facing investigation by the gambling watchdog over allegations of betting on the General Election.
The Prime Minister said the Conservatives had been carrying out their own “internal” probe and “will act” if it finds any wrongdoing over the scandal that has engulfed the party.
Talk’s Kevin O’Sullivan discusses this further with political commentator Russel Quirk.

Why assume they would tell the truth if they were asked about gambling? Why not treat them as the protection constable is being treated?

The note was a tradition begun decades earlier, and carried on by both parties, whenever the government flipped.
Major's treasury staff left the same note for Blair's staff.
