My brother Jacob who’s is 26 years old recently was on dialysis with stage 4 kidney failure, 8-10 hour treatments and back and forth from the doctors. He showed no signs or symptoms until the later stages, I fortunately was able to donate my kidney to him so he’s able to continue his day to day life. I see in the comments it’s not that simple to get a match or a donor and my heart goes out to those who continue to wait and I encourage those people to ask friends and family to do testing, it’s very extensive but it’s worth saving a loved one’s life.
Some of this information is misleading. Spinach & beets actually damage your kidneys due to high oxylate levels. Eating them raw is what is dangerous for kidney health, yt your video shows raw consumption of spinach & beets. To get rid of the oxalates, beets should be boiled until soft - check with a knife like we do with potatoes. Spinach on the other hand, just require a bit of cooking, and they are oxalate free. Our bodies need potassium & sodium, but of course everything in moderation. Drinking plenty of water is also very good for your kidneys. It helps flush out excess minerals.
I do not believe you are correct. Boiling may lower oxalates, but it does NOT get rid of them. It doesn’t even lower the amount significantly! Spinach is loaded and always will be. Beets, too. Raw or cooked, high oxalate veggies are something to put to the side.
Really bad information here. Misleading is an understatement. Eat all the home grown vegetables you desire and avoid processed food from grocery stores.
OXALATES is a subject you should read up on, solely from plants, oxalates wreck havoc, causing kidney stones, Vitamin D3 deficiency, B Vitamins deficiency, leads to lung infections, arthritis, blocks nutrient absorption, expericed it all, spinach etc
Certain vegetables, when consumed in excess, may contribute to kidney problems, particularly in individuals with existing kidney conditions. Vegetables high in oxalates, such as spinach, beets, and rhubarb, can increase the risk of kidney stone formation by promoting calcium oxalate stones. Additionally, vegetables high in potassium, like potatoes, tomatoes, and avocados, may be harmful for people with chronic kidney disease, as impaired kidneys may struggle to regulate potassium levels, leading to hyperkalemia. Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower, although nutritious, may need to be moderated for those on a low-potassium diet to protect kidney health.
I can't believe this ... I eat raw tomatoes everyday because it's in my salad I eat 1 cup of swiss chard twice a week I don't feel sick eating these two I don't each spinach anymore, my head ache every time I eat raw spinach

Beets supposedly help lower blood pressure because of the nitric oxide content but they’ve never helped my blood pressure at all. I’ve never heard they’re good for kidneys. They are high in oxalates so they’re most likely not good for the kidneys.
This video discusses six vegetables that could negatively impact kidney health due to their high potassium content. Potatoes, tomatoes, spinach, beets, winter squash, and Swiss chard are all rich in potassium, which is essential but can become harmful when kidneys are compromised. The video emphasizes the importance of managing potassium intake through cooking methods like boiling and being mindful of portion sizes. It encourages moderation and a balanced diet for individuals with kidney concerns to ensure overall well-being while managing potassium levels.
