They were switched 20 or so years ago, when one had problems, and the other engine was not operating at the time. After repairs, they were never switched back. I do not remember which bell had the problem.

ebtmikado Wow! I certainly never knew that. Kind of strange to think what that would sound like if they were switched back but kept their whistles.
Any update completion of 97? Surely love for a tripleheader with 40, 97 and 3025 altogether!

Sorry about that! But I'm just glad to hear that 97 will be back anytime soon anyway!
