This is classic. This is my first season saddle hunting and that’s the exact set up I decided on. Ordered it a couple days ago. Cruzr and the Fix. I’m not running a saddle pack . Couldn’t bring myself to spend $300 for a saddle pack. Running an Exo Mtn Gear pack. It’s a western pack but I can cinch it down tight.I’m running the stand with the sticks attached locked into the lock-down buckle straps on the outside of the pack. Works like a charm and I can used the same pack for whitetail that I use out west. Was a lot of dough but it’s an amazing pack with a bunch of storage solutions
@@oldtomplatz8862 have enjoyed it a lot. I just got done up in illinois and my relatives have private land here. Hunted out of pre set stands, saddle, and blind so all 3. Saddle is still most comfortable for me but they all have a place
Nice video. I picked up a eberlestock bandit, it’s VERY similar to the fas pack but 1/3 of the cost. Worth taking a look. I wanted the wolf pack but it’s not a deal breaker. Just been a been priced out of it for awhile. Got the bandit for $80. Keep the gear for deer coming. Been enjoyable
New subscriber here! I like the content. I’d be interested to see what gear you take to the field… both camera gear and hunting gear. Great stuff. Keep it coming.
If you can still find them a Mystery Ranch Pop-up 28. Haul my .5 inside meat shelf and sticks (4) outside on back and held on with compression straps supplied on pack. Saddle packed inside for walk in platform and extra cloths inside meat shelf. If budget isn’t a problem a Kifaru Striker. Also a new Eberlestock Bandit is quite an option too!!!
Yes they are very loud, if you unzip them slowly it's not too bad though. I'm not sure what is weighs but I'll say it's the perfect size pack for me even with camera gear and isn't too big if that makes sense. Sorry for the delayed response.
Can u put ur sticks in the nalgene pockets on the wolf pack. Could u get tethrd compression kit or something from ewo or backwoods mobile gear n use that n attach platform to opposite side of shoulder straps.
I probably cold but then I loose all the room got me camera arm. Just need a bigger pack. If I didn’t carry all this dang camera gear it would work perfect!!
Nice video again. I was looking for a good pack and that might do it. I have the same saddle stand as you as it turns out and really need a pack. I have the Sitka Tool Bucket but I'm not impressed with that pack. Saw your drone shots...Do you have your FAA Part 107 or are you a pilot?
I do have my part 7! Have to have it for my day job. It is a great pack, and after using it all season I won’t be changing anytime soon. Definitely recommend getting a platform pack from backwoods outdoors, makes attaching sticks and the platform to your pack so easy.
@@buckeyebowhunter glad you have your part 107, I do not want to see anyone get in trouble. I also have my part 7 it for my day job. I’ll look into that platform pack. Keep up the great content.
I sit all day on public land and had a lone wolf climber, then switched to a Millennium M150 Monster. Talk about comfort... but I stick out like a sore thumb up there. Wanted to try saddle hunting last year but the entry cost was a little more than I could afford. Not sure I could sit all day in a saddle.
Yeah I get it! Not sure I can either lol guess we’ll find out. I think using the saddle in conjunction with my lone wolf may be the ticket. Best of both worlds
Small tip I think would DRASTICALLY increase the value of your videos… Before you roll your into(which is super cool) do a quick attention grabbing intro specific to the video then go into the intro, then into the video
This year it’s been pretty 50/50 if I had to guess. Run&gun situations, public land sits it was awesome, for the longer all day sits and shorter walks I was taking in the hang on
The back support doesn’t go where they put it when you first get the pack. There is a Velcro pocket behind the pouch that it’s in when you first get the bag open it up and slip it down in there and put the Velcro over it
Looks like a great pack! Thank you for showing all the features and explaining! Good luck with everything my friend!
Thanks! You too!
Great unboxing. I am a Gear nerd and have equipment form almost every brand also lol. Nothing wrong with that. Whatever works for you.
Right on and we’ll said! I get so tired of brand loyalty and fanboys lol. Use the gear that makes you successful ya know! Thanks man

How is your saddle season going? I run a .75 but have dabbled with saddle hunting and have enjoyed it.

Trophy line makes awesome saddle hunting packs, I already own 2 of them
I’ll look into them thanks!
Cruzr is coming out in augest with a new pack. Looks really good for a saddle pack. Their is a couple videos of it from the mobile hunter shows.
Just watched a video about it. Looks pretty sweet! Maybe I should have waited lol

Been looking at saddles. Used one a couple times and love the versatility. How would you rate your saddle usage vs hang on
