Im waiting for someone to invent a perfect pack for saddle gear. Until then i just have backpack straps on my platform and i tie my sticks to the platform. Everything else rides on my saddle or in a fanny pack. I cant believe nobody has a perfect product for saddles yet. That one company is close cant remember the name its iron something but they need to make a 2nd or 3rd version before im buying it.
Someone needs to make a pack that you can truly customize and order it like you want. Kind of like a bow. You pick where the straps go and zippers. Etc etc. I would pay premium for that ability.
Hey Bud, great video! I always love watching what others think of the gear. The CAYS has a slot on the back of the pack, just under the shoulder straps, that allows you to add a drop in frame or stay to gain any support you may want. We left this out initially in order to keep cost down for the customers & allow folks to make that choice for themselves. On the bottom of the CAYS we have 2 integrated grommets that are intended for you to be able to run a retractable bow/gear hook through them. When you get to the tree you can simply attach your weapon/gear to that gear hook and as you climb the tree it keeps it out of the way from all of your other ropes/attachments. For this reason, we didn't add stick straps to the bottom. Just wanted to add some clarity. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the info. I ran the cays 2.0 for a month or more and it was fine. Just a few tweaks that was important to my style. But to each their own. Keep it up! 👍🏻
I run the CAYS because it is large and I need the room for camera equipment and warmer clothes that I walk in without wearing. I also use longer, 3 step sticks which fit better vertically on the larger pack. If I attached those at the bottom, I would be a “wide load” walking through the woods. All three packs are great packs and seem to have their advantages and disadvantages. I think it just comes down to personal preference. Great video and keep up the good work!!
I agree the trophy line needs support, but the scentlock bag is useless without straps. Having to gear tie your sticks and platform is ridiculous for that price
I get that. And it works for hauling sticks on the sides and back of the pack. But it still requires taking the pack off before climbing the tree. It’s a good pack. Just think some minor improvements could be made.

Have you tried the rogue backpack from Scentlok? They have them on sale right now
I’ve seen one of a buddies. It’s a good looking pack. Price is hard to beat.
Great review. Im new to saddle hunting. Still looking for a backpack. I would take that trophyline. Better than the walmart backpack I'm using now.
Gotta start somewhere! 👊🏻 thank you

Valid points. Thanks

The new one has that stuff. I used this one last year and it worked. 🤷🏼♂️
@@TripleRwoodsyou did what you had to do, I get it. But they didn't think that bag through for the price
The cays pack is built around their sticks so its designed to carry the sticks on the sides

Not how you pack a Trophyline pack.
How do you recommend packing it?
