some thoughts that maybe some of you can answer: on vhf we have the one on front in all cases, do we really still need to type it when selecting a new frequency or could we just enter 24.23?
The TCAS interaction is a massive downgrade in my opinion. Before, with physical switches and a dedicated panel, the amount of interaction necessary wot set ta/ra and vertical range was minimal; chuck one selector all the way to the right, directly select vertical range. now you need to scroll through the available modes with multiple button presses

For VHF, we need to type full digit except last zeros as shown in the video,
Also, for tcas, they gave quick short cut keys to change modes as shown in the video, too.
Change is uncomfortable. You are absolutely correct, but for betterment. The pilots will get use to it.

Nice video. More of that, please.
What is the mode THRT under TCAS mode?
This not a mandatory upgrade, right?
Where can I get the pdf of this RMP?

Only threat, i.e, TA OR RA will be notified. Not proximity or other traffic

Is it also avalible for the A350?
I know that Airbus installs the DRAIMS in the A330neo.
Does this system also have a special maintenance/test mode like the MCDU has or like ISIS has?
