Hell yeah! good to hear vert still sparks creativity in the current skate industry. If you haven't skated a pool, go for it. The sound and feeling you get from your first time hitting the tile and making contact with your truck is just out of this world. I always tried street, but I feel more at home in a bowl. You ever try lay-back airs? Hosoi and Jeff Phillips have a mean one. I can't handplant but I can do those.

God, I remember skating back in the day. If you can find the old competitions online somehow, watch those. He was better than Hawk. Not joking. Hawk just ended up being more stable, I guess. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck...good to see him around though. Hosoi will always be number one to me.
My problem with layback-grinds was/is always that it starts very good,- ... -hang-in perfectly, ... but then my board finishes the trick perfectly by it's own while my body still hangs with my left hand (stance: goofy) at the coping to sliding slowly 1 - 2 seconds later down the transition. 😆 seriously, it’s kinda funny👍🏼 So the trick it’s probably called: Layback-Grind, late Body-Slide⁉️🤣🤙🏼

When I started skating last year, I started learning my balance on transition. After I found my balance, I stuck to it because transition is fun af!

the front side grinds are my favorite too. Once you get into it, it just naturally takes you out its like you're really riding, not trying to control.

I agree definitely better than hawk(no disrespect to hawk he is amazing) but I think it was Christians drug use that made hawk better known
