They are f-ing shredding no one was very interested in easy unless you were a Tony Hawk fan! lol! Speed & Power Style & Difficulty Artistic Expression Agressive Shredding Skating was like a satisfying taboo; the boards were like wild stallions, the barrier they represented was an honor to concour, and was mastered by the pro's. Today, the most difficult tricks look easy even if they aren't. The boards are designed symmetrical and balanced to favor technical flips and switched stances, it all looks easy and that raises the bar for expectations and new abilities to the sky. You guy's are dreaming up some crazy tricks these days, but in the 80's it was more about the process and feeling of skating, not just the feeling of accomplishment (especially for people like me who were never a fan of Tony Hawk, nothing against him for being himself, just not for me).

Ugh even the old school skating video has now been posted for 17 years. The hell was slow year by year, but in hindsight now, it went so fast, and I'd do so much differently to make life easier on myself. I chose so many wrong paths, in angry split second decisions that caused me decades of difficulty, some that never really go away. The pressure for The American Dream that I never really fell for is so strong, that pressure still messes up my reality to this day, while from the outside looking in, it looks like a simple easy life with good money, a simple job and an awesome dog, doing whatever I want, whenever I want, all the time. But still, it lingers, should I have went for it all, the wife, 2.5 kids, picket fence, two cars. My age women now are in menopause, so it basically timed out, ultimately I ran the clock out and "won" in one regard, no woman bailing with my kids and still getting paid, but that's only the negative view, what of it woulda worked out and been rewarding and fulfilling and brought the rest of my life great joy? I don't know.
Go get you a bitch Unc, you don't have to regret shit. Somebody will be reading this comment until they destroy the internet. But the takeaway here is, don't be a slave to your past, if you are regretful take that opportunity to explore your passion or interest. Quit letting yesterday's decision define today's outcomes... Only you are in control of your fate, if God gave you the ability to breathe and read this you can do something different, not now but RIGHT NOW.. that's the beauty of life.
@gogyyy The easiest way to explain that is Hosoi didn't "scoop his board" up at the end of the ramp like Hawk eventually revolutionized, instead Hosoi relied on intense pumping up AND down the ramp and sort of halfass ollied which requires a lot more effort, but results in MUCH higher aerials. It makes sense when you do it, but it's hard to explain.

Explain this, Atheists
This video can turn an agonistic into a Gnostic.
Gravity. Jesus invented it. Hosoi challenged it.
This maneuver is more convincing than any other evidence, I'll give you that.
I'll explain it. Methamphetamines.
