Foxbody Mustang 2-Step! Installing using Terminator X Software

- This video covers installing a 2 step button from Motion Raceworks into my '89 Mustang GT "Stormtrooper" using Holley Terminator X Software. A couple other people have covered the subject, but only touched on the wiring aspect of the install, so I made a video covering my complete install of this feature. I took my time to make it look good, and it turned out great. If you have any questions, make sure to comment them down below as I am always happy to help.
I was worried about that wheel when you said you had to drill, but using the stars for alignment it came out very clean. Great video on this setup.
Thanks man! It broke my heart when I realized I had to drill, but couldn’t have came out any better. 👌
Tight man! And that fuse panel you made is genius!
Thanks man! It was a great feature to add when I knew I’d be installing all these gauges/features. 👍
Hell yeah thanks for going into detail
No problem! I tried my best. 😅
On stick cars I use a clutch switch for the 2 step. Makes for more consistent launches and less driver error, but the button works great too.
So true! I should do that to be honest. That’s my biggest issue is synchronizing my release of the button and clutch haha.
@@eneboracingchannel A clutch switch takes any guess work or need to worry about releasing on time. We’ve tried every button orientation from steering wheel to shifter, it takes a lot of time & practice to get that release on point.
@@kevin_nagle Totally makes sense!
@kevin_nagle do you have any instruction on how to do this clutch switch?
Awesome video brotha. Very informative and clear
Thanks dude! I appreciate the support. 🤙
Nice video BRO!
Thanks Lance!!
@4:55 Cool to see you using my global file/tune 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
If you need any help let me know 🫡
Haha awesome, thanks again!
@@eneboracingchannel need help making that 2 step sound killer?
@@kevin_nagle always haha!
So awesome!!
It’s such a cool feature.
Nice vid!!
Thank you!

You know it!
Where did you source the “chassis ground”?
I typically ground everything to the battery or battery ground distribution post. The Holley doesn’t like chassis grounds or where you have other electronics grounded to due to noise.
I’ll have to check, but I also have a ground distribution post. I’ll likely go through and double check all that stuff now that you mention it.
It looks like it is a chassis ground, but I can easily run the ground wire of my 12V distribution box to the battery to solve that issue. 👍
So you didn't need to use the blue or the white wire that comes out of the 2 step box?
I used the Terminator X to control the input button. I don’t have a 2 step box.
can this work for a 4 cylinder fox?
That’s a good question. Obviously I have it working with my terminator x system, so if you had that installed, I’m sure you could. 👍
@@eneboracingchannel could i get it working with a megasquirt? and do i need to do a maf delete?
@@Reczony I don’t have an answer for that unfortunately. I only have experience with 2 step on the Terminator X and it does not have a MAF…
@@eneboracingchannel oh ok
Why is a button needed
It is not needed. I am using it as an input for my 2step activation. My own custom touch.
So without the button, it would always be activated correct?
