I got this as a gift and I REALLY appreciate the thought that went into it. I'm positing the video though to prevent the rest of the knife loving community from getting ripped off because Knifebox is a WASTE of money!

You may like the designs, but the knife itself is practically garbage.
If you take any of these on a camping trip, the blade will probably fall out of the knife after lightly hitting a log with it.

Good knives can be used as axe replacements by using a knife and a smaller log to hack through the log. Good knives can take a lot of abuse and have many functions. These cannot be used for much more than cutting an apple in half.

According to the comments, serious people that have had to use a knife in a real situation like Doc, who was in the military aren't allowed to have an opinion about tools like this. The only person who could enjoy these knives is some teen who bought them at a gas station to 'impress' his friends and 3rd girlfriend of the week. I have been a follower of DocP and on and off again Patreon supporter of his for two years...About once a month i come back to this video just to read the comments. One little youtube video has probably brought me at least 30 hours of entertainment. For everyone insinuating he is a knife snob let me explain why I follow him.
I always appreciated knives and wanted to start collecting them but I didn't have any idea where to start and I didn't have the money (that real knife snobs) claimed I would need to have good knives (150 - 500 bucks). DocP answered multiple questions I had and gave me very good suggestions for Quality / Price budget knives.
I was able to start my collection with Kubey or Eafengrow knives (based on his suggestions) that allowed me to have multiple blade and handle styles, form, construction...etc. for a budget price. This allowed me to experience multiple types of knives cheaply so the 1 or 2 expensive knives i can afford a year...are exactly what I want and are purchases I don't regret.
He says it over and over again that he responds for fun and he isnt really like this...I just want you to hear from someone else (because you wont listen to him) that he is very helpful and one of the most practical and price considering youtubers out there. That is why he is successful.

Most comments who say "He's mean" or "He's rude" are made by people who know very little about knives lol. They probably got the subscription to knifebox because they went for the aesthetics rather than the functionality and the quality of the steel and the tools themselves. The green has nothing to do with any tactical uses, or the blood spatter design, or the little biohazard insignias. Mtech has a rep for making low quality knives so expect comments from people who know a little more about knives that are known for decent quality. For example, CRKT, Al Mar, Kershaw, Ontario Knife Company, SOG, and even Cold steels folding knives like Recon 1 and the Lawman. These are good knife companies, Mtech knives are like the hot chick you bang after a party and then wake up in the morning and realize after that smeared make up, she looks like a 4 instead of the 9/10. Body is decent shape but after some action and time, you realize it was fun but cheap. If you're paying $60 on a box of knives that are worth $5 at least (and some of these are less), you just paid double and the company is just making a butt load of cash off of you're ignorance. Please, do some hw and look at good knives, you buy once, you cry once. In the long run, you save more.
