Truck stops are full of knives like that. Mom goes pee, Dad fills the car up, and the 13 year old boy finds one of these and decides he has to have one.

super nerdy comment: but i took an anthropology class and my professor demonstrated flint making on a side of lamb and tore the shit out of his hand. the question was not of sharpness but of material science and the fact that it doesn't hold its edge well, but is nevertheless razor sharp and sliced meat like butter
That's what I saw. I am so bookmarking this page - I haven't laughed this hard in ages. I have to wonder if the knife maker wasn't just trolling us. It's just brilliant on so many levels.
So I'm pretty sure I used to own that exact knife, not another knife of the same model but that knife. It was gifted to me as a Xmas present when I was 14 and I lost it by letting a friend "borrow it." I Remember thinking that knife was the shit. I am pretty sure you can blame 14 year old me for stripping those bolts, and loosening the pivot so I could wrist flick it open, hence the duct tape on the stopping pin. As a former owner of that knife, you have permission to open it. What a piece.
I had hardly any knowledge about what makes a good/bad knife before watching this video, but watching you tear apart every little detail about this knife and point out exactly why it's bad made my day better.
Easy Nick! I'm sitting here watching this review, and waiting to hear you pass out from the over excitement. Remember to breathe when you review such a disaster in the knife world. You are my favorite reviewer on youtube. Take care my friend.
That little character on the blade looks like a demon with down-syndrome, designed by someone with down-syndrome and etched on the knife by an individual with multiple sclerosis.
@@jimmyf1312 right. Stop insulting retarded people. This knife was PURPOSELY made in some shit Shoppe in China who understands what American consumers and tactical operators who watch too many movies are looking for.

you know the idiots that always comments "cant believe you spent 400 dollars on a pocket knife" and "a knife is purely a tool" yeah this is the knives they buy xD
poisoncobra7 Oh, I don't know about that. I certainly ball at a $400 dollar (or a $200 dollar, or a $75 dollar) knife, doesn't mean I don't want an okay $30 dollar knife made with some consideration. :P
I don’t know about 10 yr. olds or 14 yr. olds, but at 32 I was a Pepsi route driver who had need of something intimidating enough to turn away a certain crack hungry numb nuts and this exact knife did the trick. Say what you want about the worst knife ever while I LMAO at a personal memory I won’t forget!!! 25 years later I still pull it out and use it as a utility knife. Most of the time you don’t need to cut plastic wrap(s). Just poke it at a tension point and it rips right off. I am missing the useless belt clip - lost it the first week😂😂😂. But the thumb screw - oh how I miss my thumb screw. Good memories and still useful albeit cheap a$$ sh*£.
Nick- Those aren't serrations but chips in the blade. The gimping was needed so you can choke-up on the knife. The steel is some of the finest Chinese pot metal. The duct tape makes it a multi-tool. I think you'll like the serrated version better.
Watching this 3 years after upload, rolling on the literal floor laughing, I can't help but think, "Thank goodness I started watching Nick Shabazz' videos a couple of months ago."
I honestly thought you were going to have a heart attack when you were discussing the pivot screw. Please, please , please do a disassembly video so you can tell us more about this wonderful knife. Thanks for sharing Nick.
Found some more info on this gem. Turns out the designer is an Australian guy named Thomas Baiter. Apparently this dude's a little off his rocker; works out of an "herbal medicine" shop called Master Baiter's Remedies. All of his knife prototypes are developed in the back room.
It looks like a cartoon shark with a broken jaw. I can't express how glad I am that I finally realized how awesome your content is. You are a hilarious dude!!!! Thank you. I will always be a loyal subscriber.
The asymmetrical thumb studs are actually to maintain symmetry. They are chisel ground like the blade. The presentation side comes stud has a point ground into it unlike the back which is flat, also to match the blade
That fractal of suck was pretty hilarious; but man your sense of humor is amazing. Like nothing I've ever seen, I haven't laughed this loud in a while xD. Had me rolling! Thank you for the entertainment. Liked and subbed.

I have worked fish cutting, meat preparation, and worked in kitchens. Look at every knife that is actually used to work. Thats the simple designs that will work properly, and not annoy you while working. All the serrated knife fad makes your EDC a fashion accessory.
One of my best friends had one of these bad boys in black in 2001/2002. It eventually wore stainless. The holes? I was told those are “bloodlets” and make the the knife more lethal.
I really share your enthousiam about crappy knives. Something that makes it even more fun is when the knife is popular amongst a community. My current favorite is the Cold Steel Bushman: ugly, awfully balanced, and extremely uncomfortable and slippery handle, not speaking about the magnificent plastic sheath, that is so bad and dangerous they felt obliged to print a line and write next to it: "DANGER don't grab the sheath passed this line" Thanks for the laugh! :)
Ha! That's awesome! Never throw it away, it's too funny! I'd love to show up and pull that out to my knife buddies like "hey man, check out this new tactical blade!" all serious and see their reaction. lol
Just pointing out - a fractal is actually a pattern that is infinitely self-similar and recurring as you zoom in. The cool thing is that certain ones have a theoretical area of zero and infinite circumference.
