This composer is one of the greatest musicians of all time Mr Kirk Rahsaan
Beautiful music by a beautiful musician…so many ideas and all delivered with genius ingenuity!
The Great Roland Kirk was one of the best sax players of all the times!
Incredible performances!
A little bit past the 2 minute mark, when Rahsaan's tenor begins to sing, and cry... It's glorious. Can't help missing him all over again as I hear this.... like I did the first time in my teens when he died... or in Brother Ah's phrasing, when Rahsaan became an ancestor. Yes he said it right: one of the miracles of the tenor saxophone, Rahsaan Roland Kirk.
I love this band with Rahsaan.Wow this is one of his best songs and a BRIGHT MOMENT if your checkin it out. Thanks CP I haven't seen this footage.
people who make the world a better place, the genius of RK
grazie Roland, per le perle che ci hai lasciato.
Well said, Terry Corcoran!!
This video is a good representation of what Rahsaan was like in concert. Genial, genius, soulful, and off the charts creative. CHECK IT OUT.
Bright Moments!
Hey Yo.......I kinda like this dude....Waaaaayyyyy Down Deep in my ALABAMA heart n soul.....praise THE LORD......🙏🙏🙏...........YES...........
His overall approach is totally individualistic and alarmingly beautiful....as good Jazz is supposed to be. He's in the the Pantheon with Mingus, Ornette, Sun Ra, and all the others, including Monk, who dared to stretch the boundaries of European theory and further expose the essence of the Human Soul....

UA-cam said you should put the audio into mp-3 to help correct that.
Rahsaaan Say Dat
Better watch this in low quality, tone and picture are asynchronous in hi quality - don't know why.
Some SERIOUS circular breathing here.
Like Liquid silk
Did you know: if Rasaan Roland Kirk had had a 3rd arm, he could have played 2 saxes, a flute & a kazoo at once while simultaneously building housing for all of the world's homeless? Hero.
sound is not synchronized here
Grant Green was not a big fan of Tod's thing...at least at the keystone show I saw...Tod's sprinkler system of sounds...
