Saw this truck on Pierce's website under new deliveries and I immediately thought "Hmm, that thing's got a station rigs episode written all over it..." Great vid love seeing Pierce deliver once again!
My dad sold trucks in these PA areas. The rigs he sold are so far behind what they are now. But as he said many times, you could always count on PA departments to want the biggest and most featured rigs of anywhere.
My Ex girlfriend was a member of Twin Valley Fire department and she was one of the volunteers that responded on the old pumper/tanker that Twin Valley had. Plus she was a certified Firefighter/EMT for Twin Valley
@@HeroesNextDoor seriously if you ever need another set of hands filming, let me know. I served in the vol. fire service for a handful of years and would enjoy helping you out.
There was a guy who went by ISOSlayer back 15+ years ago (I believe he passed away) who would use potential ISO ratings and subsequent fire insurance savings for residents to solicit funding for fire departments/districts to purchase multiple trucks like these at one time (only usually with even more ladders ... on dual hydraulic ladder racks.) Literally, millions and millions of $'s at a time.
Nothing like having air get up under a fold of 5" up top, and laying half your supply bed down the interstate... Real pain in the ass- and boy do you look stupid... Luckily, they were returning from a class at the fire academy, not on the way to a call. I believe the driver was given an "award" at that year's banquet, lol.
I need to reach out to my fire marshal see if he can disclose what new types of vehicles we are gonna be getting. Sometimes being 17 I wish I could advice them on the best things from what I see others do but they then can do what’s best on there end with my advice. Add medical and rescue gear and this could really be an all out vehicle maybe have a tiller truck that can also be a pumper and engine as well as medical and rescue gear and man you could save money, space, time, and personal. You can then have maybe some non ladder truck ones as well.
Big station and rig. Epic video! I’ve seen Rainman14, Demomracer2, and other fire buffs record the rigs from this department. Is the station cribs video for this department coming soon?
Thanks for sharing! Just one side note, at the end you mention room for the “paid crew” TVFD is 100% volunteer! Not a paid person in the department!! My son was also on the committee for the design of this truck!
You are 100% correct. Tvfd is 100% volunteer and they are doing things right! Is you son Jon? He was there and was suppose to help me say the correct information 😜
Awesome rig. But seriously.. cup holders... most overlooked item on a truck build. Find me a dept that really does not have folks with a big gulp, water bottle, or coffee mug at hand. Sooner or later, it with end up spilt without them.
Sorry, but it can't be over 11' wide. It may be 108" wide, but not 11'. That would technically be an oversized load. Did you mean to say just over 11' tall? Also, PA does not require an AED on each apparatus. NFPA recommends it, but it is not a legal requirement. Glick is the sales company. They relay to Pierce who builds. Glick is just the salesman.
I know the price of trucks have gone up but this just doesn’t look like a million dollar truck! It seems like fire departments are going more for looks, toys and comfort now costing the tax payers money that could be used for more life saving equipment.
You should really check up some German Firetrucks and see how they only cost like 200.000-400.000€ and have the same amount of Space or even more Technical nice things
@@ImForwardlook Imagine what taxpayers of that district would say if they were presented an option of paying 1M for this Pierce, or 500K for the Magirus/Rosenbauer/THT on Scania/Volvo/Tatra chassis with exactly the same capabilities? Would you personally consider looks that much if you were paying for this thing?
It’s a nice bit of kit but it still amazes me how US fire vehicles are so big, yet actually carry very little equipment compared to here. US stowage design doesn’t seem very logical to us.
How much water do you guys carry on a typical engine over on that side of the pond? Our typical municipal engines (on my agency) run 500 gallons which takes a lot of room, same goes for the 3,000 gallon here. Curious if you guys have less water on board but more equipment and a stripped down tender/tanker. Cheers from Kansas!
Fire trucks have come along way in 25 years. Impressive features!!

Who did he work for ?
Beautiful Engine / Tanker with a lot of equipment.
It sure is!
This truck is s piece of ART as much as it is a life saving apparatus. Well Done
One of the coolest trucks we’ve seen on the show yet
Nice Fire Rig Our Firefighters Need The Best Equipment
I miss being a firefighter. Saving lives and cool trucks!! ❤️
Gotta love the "Even Cops Need Heroes" lol
Glad you saw that 🤣😂
WOW ! BIG OL RED CORVETTE ! THANK YOU SO MUCH ,SO PERCISE ! WE APPRECIATE YOU SIR ! 🙏 ❤️
Thanks for watching
That truck is sick, when I was in a tanker was nothing more then o tank on a chassis, no tools. Great video Mike
Thank you for watching
The red interior is sick!! Absolutely gorgeous truck.
I know right. I real liked it too
That is a nice Pierce rig. I like how much they put on it being a tanker.
Nice Pierce PUC PT.

Like a kid in a candy store. Love it
Awesome video, going to send my chief this video, where going to be specing out a pumper/tanker so have him get some ideas from this truck.
That’s what these videos are for
One sexy truck. Love the channel! Got me into wanting to be a Air Force damage control firefighter
Thanks for watching
Another great video Mike! You do such a great job explaining things and showing off these rigs solo. Keep up the great work man!!
Thank you. Alone is the hardest to film. At least when I do a question and answer I don’t have to remember a vehicle I have only seen once 😉

On many Points this Vehicle remembers me to German Fire Trucks with the roling gates, slide outs and the organisation of Tools

Thanks for tne truck tour, beautiful machine a d great to see how their equipment fits in the rig.

Beautiful truck, awesome features.

Thank you. Guy company and awesome equipment

Cool truck
You gotta do Yorkville hose in Pottsville PA or Minersville Fire-Rescue
We just need invites to get them scheduled
hey have you ever thaught of coming to CT for a station cribs of a realy old station 1 bay 2 floor really small, but good history
Yes we have please send any official invites to watchheroesnextdoor@gmail so we can get those scheduled
That's a beautiful piece! Any and all pierce rigs are assembled by Allegiance Fire & Rescue and they have different locations throughout New England.
Now this is a truck
What is that silver/ gray thing in the middle of the compartment at 6:42?
Low level strainer for drafting
@@jeffpitoniak Thanks
You should do station cribs in my town because we have alot of history at station 1.
We need an invite sent to watchheroesnextdoor@gmail.com
Mike you should come to Bruin Volunteer Fire Department in Butler County.
Have them send us an invite and we can get it scheduled

Engine 69 nice
Nice rig, love the color scheme- it’s just like ours. Found it interesting they didn’t spec to carry a portable tank, or did I miss something.
Probably for a dept that has a hard time drafting ;)
I could have miss heard. I didn’t hear him list the pump and tank capacity
How long does it take for. New Fire Truck to be on the run?
Every station is a bit different but they need to be approved prior to their maiden voyage

11’ high not wide

100% read that entire plaque wrong. It’s is within regulation for any PA road. My bad 😞 😂
awesome truck! Hopefully they don't store fuel with the saw blades. Terrible environment for metal blades.

11 foot wide do they have to pull a trip permit just like us truckers do lmao
Misread. 11ft tall
You mean 11' tall, law only allows 102" 8' 6" with out permits and signage for anything over that including emergency vehicles.
That is correct I mis read it.
