It’s funny that vital is so good I literally sold my Hydrasynth because vital does so much more for me and it’s just easier and with no cables involved more voices yeah

You can click and drag the Envelopes or LFOs to any parameter. In this case he dragged the 1st (the amplitude) envelope to the filter cutoff.

I will still pick a sample based orchestral pad any day of the week. More texture and organic. Synths are not very good at pads or most percussion I think.

So "a new way to make pads" is playing three oscilators exactly as intended in Vital? lmao

I think the main unique step was using a super low frequency oscillator with a shit load of detuned for texture. Rip phase though
even better is the fast that two of those oscillators are his anyways

Are these wavetables available in the free version, or is it just as easy to achieve this sound with others in the free version?
The first two are not in the basic pack of Vital, but you should be able to recreate a very similar sound with some of the included Wavetables
These wavetables are from an upcoming soundset which will be available on material.bandcamp.com - That said, you can absolutely get there with the free version! It has a full wavetable editor. I've got some videos on my channel that shows you how to roll your own. Check out "Vital Pads" or "Vital Resynthesis"
