My first Red Sea tank repair was two years ago . I broke the bottom glass of my 650xxl . And it’s doing great and no sign of Leak at all . Since then I replaced bottom and front panel glass of a 750xxl . It’s not easy but when you get paid well for repairs you get good at it . I Just have a lot of patience .

With The price of these aquariums I could see fixing them turning out to be a nice little gig for you.

I was thinking about making a cheap 10 gallon tank and sump seahorse tank. I really like the natural look of macroalgae tanks

Cut a piece of glass or acrylic a couple inches larger than the chip, smooth the edges that will be facing out. Leave the edges that will touch the tank as is. FILL the chipped gap area with clear silicone, press the cleaned patch onto it, clamp and clean off the excess. Let dry for 2x the recommended time. No leak. Make sure the patch is larger than the chip to ensure the edges go beyond any microfractures that you may have. It may be more obvious than just the superglue, but it's better than risking the animals' lives.

It’s not if it’s going to leak! It’s when it is going to leak? Good luck!!!!!👍🏼 I would replace the tank if it was me.

If he doesn't replace the tank he's always going to have that anxiety hanging over his head that the tank can burst at any moment.

There's two types of people that never make mistakes.
    1)Liars.
    2)People that Dont do anything.

So, having spent most of my adult life working on freight transfer docks and in warehouses, your little "mistake" with the tank is nowhere near as bad as some of the dumbest, lowered-expectation shenanigans going on in these places that either I've seen, heard about, or have done myself. Trust me, there are supposed "professionals" in this industry making worse mistakes than you ever thought about.
