Thank you so much! I get told I'm not that good at kicking but my coaches say I'm good. I'm only good at kicking field goals and this helped me in kickoffs. Thank you!
thank you so much once again coming in clutch with the tips! super excited to see if i can finally get my steps right because kickoffs are my achilles heal
I went to a kicking camp that gave me bad advice about kickoffs. I learned more from here than that entire camp! I am a sophomore that will be starting JV kicker this season and backup varsity kicker, and kickoffs are my biggest weakness
Thank God I found you, i always kicked my kick offs to the 2yd line, never to the end zone but a couple times, I'll work with your tips and see if I can improve
Caden check out this new Tee!!!! Allows for a forward lean for longer higher kick offs. NCAA approved...selling by the thousands. also allow for a variety of angle placements for squibs and on sides. Hundreds of colleges using this year. Don't miss out
Can you give me some tips for warming up and the exercises you do to help you improve please? My team has no kicker or kicking coach so i decided to step up to try as a kicker. Any tips or warmup exercises will help. Thanks
My son wants to be a kicker. He has a long and strong leg which some coaches noticed but he is doing the all wrong but manages to kick 45 yards. I would like him to kick the 60 yards. What’s the best way to start for warm ups.
Hey man loved the video would love some video review If you would help I'm a sophomore going for varsity kicker I have kicked since 3 grade but just recently change up my steps and now it’s kinda off
It really just depends on the person, how old they are, and where they are with their technique. There really is no standard. I would say a good high school kicker and kick 50yard field goals and can kick a 65 yard kickoff in my opinion.
Hey, so thank you so much for this!! So, I just need to go out and practice and learn and get better and find my steps and find the plant and sweet spot? If I go out and practice kick off I’ll get distance and get better ?
hey caden, im a freshman and want to kick for my jv team. my eighth grade year i was a pretty valid kicker, then summer soccer came and i lost my touch at kicking. everytime i try to kickoff, it either spins or just barely moves ( maybe 5 yards ). when i run up to the ball and try to hit the ball with the inside of my foot i either hit it with my toe ( i used to kick with my toe ) or it hits the back of my foot. do yk of anything that could help fix that ?
I’m thinking of kicking next year, im going to be a 10th grader. Is it harder to kick with pads and helmet? Or can you still kick the same distance as no pads and helmet?
It sounds like you are driving the ball a little too much. Try to hit a little bit lower on the ball and also make sure you allow your leg to follow through.
I take 6 steps straight back and kick with my toe and and I can't get my kicks to get height I can't boot it to the end zone but I can't get it up more than 30 ft how would I try to get it up
Im in 11th grade and I have always been told to use a 2 inch tee, should i be using 1 instead. Do you recommend that and is it more common. What are some benfits of the 1 inch for me to change?
only 1 inch tees are allowed in collage and NFL so if your trying to get known for your kickoffs by scouts you shouldn’t use a 2 inch tee bc it gives more of an advantage then a 1 inch tee
So a 1 inch tee is more common and if you are trying to play in college you will want to transition to that. But if you are just playing in high school it really isn’t a big deal.
i needed this i’m the only good kicker and can’t kick off thanks for the tips
Fr same here
@@SGmasterpigman Fr same 😂
Same here lol, I’m the kicker cause I was a goalie in soccer lol and I keep on squibbing it like a soccer ball
Fr I can punt but I can't kick off
Kicked a 50 yarder last game cuz of this guide 🙌 before I was kicking 30 yards
Stutter step was always my issue in high school. When I didn't stutter step it was a touchback easily
Me too

This is a super video. Many HS special teams coaches do not know these facts. BTW, the Minnesota Vikings need a kicker.

I have been kicking for about a year now and I have watched your videos before and they are so helpful thank you so much!

I'm training to be a kicker in high school next year. How far is a high school kicker usually able to kickoff a ball and kick field goals?
It really just depends on the person, how old they are, and where they are with their technique. There really is no standard. I would say a good high school kicker and kick 50yard field goals and can kick a 65 yard kickoff in my opinion.
What about middle schoolers?
55 yd field goal and 65 yard kickoff
this helped alot
What kick off tee do u think is the best
Bet thanks!!
It was very informational and helpful but if you do another video show you actually kicking the ball.
I’m a kicker and left guard and I can kick off but it goes really low and straight any tips on height man?
It’s hard to say without seeing film. It could be many different things.
Same thing with me . I believe it’s just we need to improve on the follow through, and get really good contact
you need to get under it more
Go coogs!!
I play flag football for Special Olympics and I wear Nike cleats and my position is center
I play soccer and our other kicker is hurt so hopefully this helps 👍🏻😬
Thx u bro !!

Focus on kicking the ball with your shoe laces. We don’t want to use our toes or the inside of our foot.
@@cadennovikoff ohh ok, idk why i thought it was inside foot. ill try again tmr and see what other problems i may have, thanks bro
I’m in middle school every time I kick off I always hit the tee
You think I should start kicking I have the foot for it and even the athletic director recommended it for me but I’ve never played football for a team
I’m thinking of kicking next year, im going to be a 10th grader. Is it harder to kick with pads and helmet? Or can you still kick the same distance as no pads and helmet?
It will feel a little different with pads and a helmet but it’s the same thing
@@cadennovikoff okay thanks.
i’m thinking of being a kicker also. and a qb im already kinda good enough to be a back up qb
Can you tell me how do you get more height on kickoff because I am having trouble with that?
7:42 something just flew across the field lol
Hey do you got any tips on with competing for your spot? Thanks man for the tips
Just focus on making kicks and be confident in your ability
I’ve been having trouble on the backswing, do I cross my leg to make my foot be in that position to kick it. I know this is hard to explain.
1. Get big cavs
It’d be cool to do some kick, far and up close, in slow motion.
Thanks for the vid I usually get power and some hight but ik I could get way more of both with a bigger follow through
I have a question umm I'm in 2en grade and I use a smaller ball I use like a 40 inch ball like a small ball very small
so i have a problem with lift on my kickoffs but they still launch far, what should i do?
It sounds like you are driving the ball a little too much. Try to hit a little bit lower on the ball and also make sure you allow your leg to follow through.
I take 6 steps straight back and kick with my toe and and I can't get my kicks to get height I can't boot it to the end zone but I can't get it up more than 30 ft how would I try to get it up
Don’t toe kick it’s inaccurate
So, I’m 5’5 will my height have an effect on my height and distance or ?
No, you will still be able to kick just as high and far as others. Just work on technique and explosive power in you legs.
Im in 11th grade and I have always been told to use a 2 inch tee, should i be using 1 instead. Do you recommend that and is it more common. What are some benfits of the 1 inch for me to change?

Were you a soccer player? This sounds very complicated, as a soccer player I though you just ran and kick…
You guys call this football hahaha this is not football the real Football IS Football ⚽️
