We even have our first look at some gameplay and nope i’m not just talking about PC because it seems very likely it will be available to console players as there has been some discussions but there is a catch to it and of course it's unofficially being done.. The crazy part of it all is how easy it has been to implement and if it was so easy why it was not done to begin with is the question fans have…

Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. For the first time, experience Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. Now you can take control of the action and be at the center of your own adventure in the wizarding world. Your legacy is what you make of it.
Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled for release on February 10, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The Deluxe and Collector's Editions will launch with 72 hours of early access to the game on February 7, 2023.
The PS4 and Xbox One versions will launch on April 4, 2023. Hogwarts Legacy is also confirmed for the Nintendo Switch with a release date of July 25, 2023.

To go into the Lumos/Nox question. I think Lumos should be its own keybind like revelio and not need to take up a spell slot. It is more utility like revelio.
And a talent point to upgrade to lumos maxima to light up a whole cave
Not just Lumos but any spell that is required for puzzle solving. It's cumbersome to have to keep switching in and out of them when I don't like them for combat even with the other slots unlocked. Really they need a better UX if they're gonna make a second one.
disagree, the same argument could be said for the sneak spell. I use it more than lumos actually but neither nearly as much as the reveal spell. I hit that one every 15 seconds or so.
Hold to activate lumos/nox. Press for revalio. Works on brooms too.

Multiplayer would make the game sooo good
Co-op would open the way to pvp and pvp would not work it would ultimately just be who casts/lands the killing curse first wins and that would not be fun, that is most likely why multiplayer was not implemented from the start
@@cortlandprince6668 they can have battle arenas to avoid this and just make the spells ineffective around the castle like it is on NPCs. They needs to have multiplayer quiidich and find a way around the killing curse

As a Game Developer myself, multi-player is something that should be done first and throughout the development of a game. Building multi-player after a game is developed is much harder than just integrating it from the start.
Exactly. Which is why this game doesn’t need it. To me multiplayer has been the “make-up” to cover up empty undercooked games for the past decade and people have forgotten a well made game can be great without the feature. They could always make another game in 2 years.

One thing I'd like to see if the ability to turn into an animagas, and be able to pick what animal you can turn into either as DLC or in a sequel game
I was actually thinkin that myself, they could map it to the spell key and give u differnt combat animations and different uses for it outside of combat,

this is legit the only thing i wanted..didn't care for quidditch personally..however it would be super easy to do...for a werewolf and animagus DLC.

Golden Eagle/Sea Bird/Crow/Vulture/Owls - Flight
Cow/Sheep/Deer-Ground Speed

and we know there is a wolf animagus enemy

so there you have it 15 animals butn they each already have there own movement and animation so it's just a matter of havign your character tunr into that "actor" so from development standpoint shouldn't be too difficult to develop as the models and animations are already done.

Just stop. They are clearly focused on releasing the ps4 on april 4th and switch version in july. If they plan on dlc then it wont be till after that. No big deal. I for one am glad they are focused on releasing all versions of the game first before any dlc plans or discussions about it take place. Gives me confidence that they are putting actual effort into the ps4 version and not half baking it. I have my Deluxe edition pre ordered and couldn't be happier about this news.
They dont "need" to add anything. They can improve on whats there. But as far as adding new content and dlc, that would be nice. But not "needed".

to be honest UE 4.27 (Hogwarts legacy version),5.0 and 5.1 are built to be highly versatile! so multiplayer looks like it is really easy to implement (I've played around with UE5 and 5.1 respectively!)
Lumos skill tree would be cool eg. Cast lumos ball that follows you around allowing to use other spells at same time
And Lumos Solem - when used in combat blasts blinding sunlight at the enemies leaving them stunned and reduces their spell accuracy for x amount of time?
Great points mentioned in this video. Finished my first run in regards the story but I am not planning to stop playing in the nearest time whatsoever.
Honestly besides other games I've played besides Elden, Hogwarts is one of the most complete in terms of actually content and bugs in the game, I've experienced only a few strange white spot textures popping up but disappeared before I really notice them.
However I think thats due to me play via 144htz PC monitor which is the only thing I have available to hook my Xbox up to. The only reason I notice it is because I post some game content to UA-cam and I see it in editing.
Ya, I wish all games released like this, instead of me wishing I bought it a year after release giving them enough time to finish it with updates.

I still want more character customization options.
It would be nice if your wand would stay lit when solving them off puzzle. especially when it’s in our location that you can get lost in. by the time you find out where it goes, you may have to refined them off. and some people have trouble holding the button down for that long. for those who prefer what they already have going, maybe they can make a change in the accessibility feature how the button works with your spellcasting. that could be in settings.
Another thing that would be nice, if they can get the screen reader to read what region urine. Or what region you’re arriving in. they should have some signs that will tell you southern Hogwarts region. they did good on putting that on the map. even the screen reader will read the map. They just don’t have that without the map. they already did a very excellent job with the screed Reader. 30 points.😄👍😆🦉
If you are on PC tapping speed bost while flying on your broom you can travel at max speed at any height for an infinite amount of time. Not sure if it works on consoles

As always, Dragon Riding. But I think that they should tweak how we learn potions and herbology. Instead of buying the recipes from the store, we buy them then have to take it to class to learn how to properly make or grow the items. Giving us more time in the classroom.
I agree about the potions recipes. Especially if Sharp wants you to obtain and use them, then those recipes should be unlocked through the classroom. I don't want to pay for basic recipes.
I agree with this. I enjoy the class quest a lot and wish they were all as fleshed out as the first class each time.

Open world multi-player were there is like 20 players in one sever, access to hogwarts castle with the npcs and online players, walking up to players to duel, doing quests with online players that would make this game maybe game of the year.
i kinda wish some of the utility spells had been put on our toolkit tab button instead of spell slots. things like the ror spells or repairo/lumos, wasted spell slots for them.
Are y’all just completely forgetting this game still has 2 more launches. Do you think the devs aren’t working on making that those two launches go smoothly as well before even thinking about DLC?

Im missing 1 Foe, 1 ancient magic site and 1 page in the highlands. To be fully 100% cant seem to find them and no map icon for them
How can you keep lumos active and fight, when doing both requires the same wand? I understand recasting a spell multiple times can be a pain in the ass, but wanting lumos to b active during combat doesn’t make sense.
Anyone else think it’s weird it didn’t at least release with ng+. Most of the WB games have ng+. Why not this one?

@@kengvang2766 Im sure it's because of the metroidvania pacing. Having access to all spells would means we would be able to gets to the place we shouldnt be in, when we shouldnt be there. One of the way they could maintain the pace is to lock all spells again until we can get it in the story, but then it'd feel like playing a new game anyway because then just having all the talents and high health and not much else at the start is like dialing difficulty down to easy mode.

Would be cool if the maxima potion gave an added affect to spells, for example if you used it with lumos, the ball of light would hover above you like in the movies
tbh I didnt expect any news about a dlc as its only a couple of weeks old. give the game a bit more time for them to decide to do a dlc, but until then the modders have started so it will also be interesting to see what they do.
I realy hope Warner Bros Games and Avalanche Studios are going some DLC and Multiplayer content because i dont believe the game have no future content

MP can't work in a game like this. I don't know why you people don't get that. You can't just have everything you want without considering what is possible.
I also wish that there was a way to reveal all things on the map like the Merlin trials or anything like that because I'm trying to mop up the last of the little things but it's hard because I can't see the last Merlin trial I need or where the butterflies are

I'm waiting for more patches to fix the issues because I encountered a bug that wouldn't let me load a quest took the quest off of there and wouldn't let me do the quest line so I missed one of the Loyalty missions but I do love this game
I thought that when i took the felix potion, it was gonna be me the same effect as revelio without doing the spell, but it wasnt
I hate how limited the camera control is while playing our brooms. Or in certain areas.
funny thing is i could see wb games buying the code from the together team to release it on consoles as a free dlc. I say free because even if they pay for it, the new sales from people wanting to try coop could probably cover the costs of the purchase.
If this mode is done good enough i feel like its possible to make a deal with the mod team and make it official so you don't need to crack the consoles :D
As for me i plan to finish 100% the other 3 left houses i did not yet and if they add MP maybe try it.
I love how people are saying modders are gonna ruin the game like they are being FORCED to use mods, I’ll lay it out for those of you that are literal children and don’t understand what this means if you want it solo play solo. I doubt this mod will change the whole game look at the Skyrim co op mod it took years to be released and it was buggy mess but it was the ambition behind it that has my respect, people make these projects to further their knowledge of development and to maybe make some people happy with the final product so look at it this way it either runs well and people can enjoy the game together or it doesn’t and people continue to play solo people will never be happy. Im interested to see where this goes because it could maybe be amazing or it will drive the people working on it to keep going and to keep trying to improve or add to future games find it utterly ridiculous that people are mad or upset with a project that NO ONE is FORCED to partake in
I completed the story on Hard, got to level 40 and have only 4 achievements till 100% completion... I'm still in love with the game.

I think there should bê a mod that made The use of aresto Momentum 🤚, completely mitigate fall damage, as we all saw in the movies
i would say that i would do what rockstar did create a separate online mode for the game add it's own story elements and mini games and quidditch all in the separate online version
glad it is not in the main game because people would be too focus on playing with friends and doing mini games online
then ignore the story and side missions for the main game

Easy. Push left for Revelio hold for Lumos. So simple I’m suprised they didn’t do that and have a quick swap by holding other spell buttons too like the way you can chain Accio to Levioso by holding it down

I also wish we could disable the Alohomora minigame. It is completely and utterly pointless and becomes very annoying. Especially as in the first couple of seconds the rings dont do anything.
I would also like to be able to turn off or at least reduce the frequency of my character giving hints. I find a lot of the time I am given hints as I am already doing the thing and sometimes even AFTER I have already solved a puzzle. It gets annoying pretty quickly.
it's funny how people are getting angry over a mod they can choose to ignore, play it solo if you want but this mod has no effect on you what so ever

We don't need multiplayer in every game. I think this game would ve fine if it restricts multiplayer to the castle and mini games with your friends. The actual game and story outside of that would be ruined by having co-op, on hard it would way to easy and exploring and spending the time reading the lore spread around is part of what makes the world so good now.
This is a multiplayer mod😅ridiculous. This game doesn't need a multiplayer. DLC is great but in my opinion DLC is a waste of money, to keep the game marketable and people interested, it needs a co-op version and an online version with roles and story line like RDO. But as we know the developers have no plans for DLC or online. New content should be started now when the game is on the charts, not in a year or two. Millions are lying on the ground and the developers answer the journalist with a smile: no, we don't need a millions, we're fine, there will be no DLC🤣. This is nonsense. Especially considering the fact that they see what the numbers are, the buyability is insane
RDO isn’t the best model for multiplayer. But I could see some great RP potential if the go a FiveM/RedM build.
Tbh this feels like the first time in a while fans and players with ruin one of the best games in a decade. The game isn’t even a month old. Just let the people work. If we were patient enough for delays (which btw clearly were beneficial), then we should trust their roadmap
LOL if gaming companies have taught gamers anything in the last decade, it's that roadmaps are made to be broken. We have ZERO incentive to trust the devs to finish up this game when it's a blatant fact that modders usually add content the devs hadn't even thought of in most games.
@@Cthulhu4President Except that’s not the case. the few games of this decade that are as polished as this game on release, GTA 5, God of War, Elden ring, RDR2, Witcher 3, Far Cry Series, were all given solid dev support after the fact. Even with drama at some of the studios
Second mods are just that. Mods. Accessible to a small amount of the community. Typically buggy and rarely fully implemented in the long run. And RARELY “original”. There’s not a mod released for GTA etc. that a dev didn’t “think of” rather just didn’t have time to code a “all the windows roll down” mod for a game where it’s not important.
So I’m partially with you. I’m all for the modern Dev hate because 99% of the companies deserve it. But when a studio clearly does the opposite we need to run them the proper respect

The only haters seem to be the alphabet community, anyone that has actually played this game seems to love it and im one of them, im 33 and this is exactly the game I wanted when I was a child, for me the most impressive thing about this game is how detailed and massive the actual castle and castle grounds are

i dont think it shoud be active wile using another spell dosent mke sense to me unless you have a second wand becouse the light comes direct from the wand so it shoudnt work unless they make us to be able to do wandless spells i mean wands can only cast 1 spell at the time and they cant use another spell when they all rdy have 1 active but woud be nice if it stayed acitved when climing jumping etc

I think that the reason people are already so anxious about DLC is because the game already feels so polished. Yeah devs usually fix bugs first and I know that there are bugs to be fixed. But I'm also ready to wait for DLC cause I'm already so satisfied with what they put out at launch. And if I have to wait for DLC on par with the quality of the rest of the game then I'm more than prepared to pitch my tent.
i wouldnt mind if game developers added dlc in the version of bringing out a game then see what most people want put that in the game as dlc after release for a small fee like 1 euro,developers put manpower into adding these things so i think a small compensation is fair,so 1 euro or a small fee to there liking for a fuw extra fan requested content and so fans can pick with dlc they want if they bring out dlc is a combo cluster that fits together nd the copany makes a small amount of extra money that way a game developer is greatly insentivized to listen to fans.
the biggest request i have is new game plus where we keep our lv our skillpoints appearences we unlocked our equiped gear and possibly spells and mounts and our ingame money.
having said all this its the best game for me since skyrim and fallout.
why would they put this trash in the game not every game needs to have more people in it they mess up games single player games should not have this in it

Why is no one talking about how they gave everyone the ability to alter the pitch of the player voices BUT they sound robotic as hell either up or down… it’s awful. So there’s essentially no point to that option in the settings or character creation. They should fix it or remove it all together honestly

I highly doubt console will get Hogwarp what usually happens is that Game Developers usually make some modding tools for Gamers to download, and then leave the community to do what it wants with them (develop, and distribute whatever mods). In the case of a console however, the Game Developers have to develop modding support for their game.
Quite frankly I would be happy with a simple implementation like Genshin Impact. I don't need a MMO, but a fun family and friends implementation.

I know im in the minority here.... not all games need to have a multiplayer mechanic. With that said though.... Quidditch with multiplayer would be fun as hell. Personally glad they didnt add multiplayer during development. Wed have gotten alot less content and details in the game and to act like that is not the case is to be in utter denial. Multiplayer has ruined many a fantastic singleplayer experience imo. There are exceptions of course.... Heres looking at you Ghost of Tsushima

Of course there will be an official multiplayer mode eventually. When the hype slows down in 8-12 months or so and sales begin to stagnate, they will implement it to get more people to buy it. I'm very certain the choice to not include it originally is intentional.
I would be more inclined to play and buy the game if I knew there would be future additions. hate most games now day you can beat them within 10 hours for 60 dollars to me just doesn't seem worth the price for such a short time of game play if there is nothing to look forward to in the future
