I spent 129.00 on mine, and finished it last week. Absolutely comparable to Lego in quality and build, and once you add the printed pieces, the lighting, and that the price is about half of a Lego model with a similar piece count, it's fair to say Lego finally has some real competition... I've built three other FunWhole models in addition to this one, and they're every bit just as fun as Lego, and again, for a fraction of the price.

How does it look next to official Lego modular sets?

The set scales well with other Modular’s though it is a bit taller than the 3 story LEGO Modulars. The colors are neutral and unique as well as the textures. Both of these aesthetics complement the city well.
Now here are the differences between this modular and LEGO’s. Its footprint is the same 32x32, but it’s on standard plates rather than a baseplate. So there is a half plate difference in height of the sidewalk. They don’t connect as designed. No pins on Funwhole’s. You’ll either need to mils plate both, switch the LEGO modular over to regular plates, or use a standard base plate for the Funwhole product to keep consistency.
Another difference is that Funwhole uses light gray side walks and dark gray curbs where LEGO has it swapped. The light gray sidewalks look better in my opinion.
With some modifications to it (or LEGO’s) it would go well with other Modulars.
