Wow, Tom, the details of the set and the overall look are absolutely stunning! Really great job 👏👏👏 P.S. I would really really love to see your creation in one of future ideas sets... As it was said, it's going to be quite hard to gather all the pieces for a regular LEGO fan like me and many others
I would definitely buy it if it was real. I wouldn’t let Lego skimp out though - it would have to have both Doc and Marty, as well as optional features to make the flying and rail-worthy versions. Lego just needs a BTTF line full stop.
Absolutely, I'd love to see some of the other cars or vehicles of the trilogy too. Marty's Toyota 4x4, young Biff's 50's Ford, the Sierra No.3/Doc's time train There's a lot of potential for a full BTTF theme and I really wish they would make one
I really loved to see the collaborative style iterations you made to the model. Its the sort of small changes that don't stray too far from the original intent, but wouldn't be possible without the perspective of another person
That looks great! The V2 one by fire fabric on rebrickable is slightly better imo but it’s great to see so many different fan approaches to building one of my favorite movie cars
This looks SOLID i hope Lego gets around to it eventually and takes another crack at the ghost busters ECTO 1. I'd want something new though as Knight Rider/KITT and A Bullit Mustang would go CRAZY and offer something different.
It would be fun to have a line of speed champions cars we see in TV shows or movies like knight rider the A-team van, the Homer car (simpsons) Starsky and Hutch ford torino , the general Lee etc Id buy them for sure

Thanks! Oh, well then you might as well call me a farmer because I do this a lot. 😆 I usually remember to replenish what I “farmed” by ordering those pieces back later on, unless the element’s color didn’t matter from the original set and replace it with an alternative color. If the piece was rare or can’t be easily replaced, well then all of the pieces from the set get sorted into my bins.
I'd have to buy 3 just to build and display all 3 versions. I own the Icon version but haven't even opened the box yet. Don't really have the room right now but it's one of my favorite Lego collection pieces.
@@thegreenbrick You are most welcome. I've discovered your channel fairly recently, but am enjoying what I see: - not just "normal" reviews like we can find on many channels, - but you upgrade your reviews with humour and with modification suggestions, and then there are the more general videos (rankings of sets through the years, MOC showings, etc). Keep up the good work!
@@roelhendrickx4302 Thanks for your supportive comments!! I REALLY appreciate it!! Yes. I found out that if I’m going to do the same thing as many others, then my efforts will not be that successful. I think you should’ve used the idea from the Lego Spiderman Spider-Cycle Chase 76005 with the mechanics of nick fury’s car for the folding wheels. Other than that, everything else was amazing
Lego had already a Back to the Future Delorean in minifig scale through the Ideas series (21103) from 2013, same with the Ecto 1 from Ghostbusters (21108) from 2014, I own both of them original from Lego
Reaaaly quick what is the part number of that stud with bar on the bottom 3:30 ? I need to order a few and can't find the right string of LEGO jargon to make it come up on rebrickable or bricklink 😂
I might build this one eventually. I’ll probably source most of the parts from Bricklink though. I know I don’t have the windshield, the wheels, and lots of other parts.
Its a shame that this model omits the iconic gullwing doors. However, considering that was one of the many problems of the old cusso/ideas design, I’m willing to look past that. Overall, a solid build and I love the improvements you made to it. I need this as a buildable in my collection, I’ve been meaning to get back into lego for years but never got around to it.
Thank you so much! This is Tom and I'm absolutely overwhelmed you've made this video showcasing my model :)
This car was worth every hour spent on gathering pieces and totally deserves to be showcased!

I'd buy this set in a heartbeat I love bttf if I could I'd have the a replica as my everyday car
This is the Delorean we need. Been wanting a minifigure scale Delorean that’s more polished than the Cuusoo one we got years ago
@@StormX6 Agreed!

This is perfect for this Lego Speed Champions set!!!
Dude that looks so good!
The pirate stole the show 😂😂
He "Pirated" the show (AARRR)
15:00 There is such a set of 76004 with a Nick Fury car. Why not try to create a similar mechanism for the wheels as in that set?

Hoverwheels needs to have a specialized piece, but I hope they make a Speed Champ version!
You should print the out of time plate as a sticker and then put it on the flat 1x2
The perfect middle ground between the Lego Dimensions version and the giant expensive ones.
I'd have to buy 3 just to build and display all 3 versions.

can’t wait to see the speed champions city
Nice job
Thanks! The inspiration all started with the ReBrickable MOC!
I'm praying Lego releases a Speed Champions BTTF Delorean. I hope they can figure out how to have the gull wing doors, but I think I could forgive it.
As you mentioned the Cuusoo is 8 stud, as well as the Ecto 1. And they sit with my full 8 stud speed champions collection.
Really good video: informative but with enough humour.
Thanks my friend!

If you ever do an update, the 2013 Delorean (21103) has a Outtatime 1x2 tile.

Wow! I wish I had one❤
I'm sure you already know, but there is a printed 1x2 license plate with outatime on it. It was in the lego ideas set. As well as the orange one.
Would have loved to have had those for this car!
Nice! 😺 Where we’re going, we don’t need drum lacquered finish! Cheers 🍻
need it!!!!!!

part ID 79194

So when are you getting into making your own custom sticker elements? Before or after the 3d printer for custom display and storage?
Perhaps in time I will. Only the future will tell.
@@thegreenbrick 🤣
A Team Van is what we need, it's blocky so should work in Lego.... maybe add the white and red corvette and make it a double pack
Doc! You’re telling me you built a TIME MACHINE! out of Lego?!
I used Paul Walker 2Fast2Furious Lego car as my start to build my Delorean Time Machine. And went from there!
ua-cam.com/video/zOH9_-5QM0o/v-deo.htmlsi=ThKx11QUEZbVN2Tk
Should've been released when they did the big one as well as the ecto 1
Aye, YES, please! Aarrrrgh!
I have the 21103 delorean
I recommend checking out firefabrics DeLorean it is similar but i enjoy the shape a little better
Isn't the previous DeLorean Lego sold already close to Speed Champions scale.
Yeah but the old one isn’t as detailed, also, “close to” is not quite on scale
Could you potentially create wheels that can transition from ground to flight mode using a mixel joint socket and one of those mixel ball joint rods?
Hmm, definitely worth a try!
I think LEGO should do a Speed Champions Lightning.
How can you forget lego kit 21103
It’s theses and the cars ones I see one rickbrickable that I want
Lego needs to make a bullitt mustang
2025 is gonna be the 40th anniversary of BTTF, so hopefully Lego has something cooking 😁
I really want a ghostbusters speed champion
And KITT
I have to hand it to you for all the handy jokes, I’ll hand you a handy like XD 😂

It's still grey instead of silver/metal. A delorean hasn't to be grey to be acurate.
It looks okay the front is weird though
I was going to give ya a hand but the pirate kept saying arrr
Mould King have a speed champions Delorean
Heel tof
Nice build but lose the pirate hand jokes. Just put me off.
Not fond of this model
