2 problems - variation, why release a whole f1 series when you cant make much different The other problem - the pricing. The amount of pieces i get that would get useful for my car mocs wouldnt be as useful as the typical cars. Which is why i usually buy the race car ones last even tho i love those I will be buying the mega pack all in one if it lets me save a decent amount tbh tho

Do the cars have numbers? Agree they shoiuld have had the option for the yellow camera bar on top as per the real cars. You have to be a dedicated F1 fan to want to buy the Sauber! I'll probably get the Ferrari, Red Bull, Aston Martin, Mercedess and possibly the McLaren (already have a Speed Champions McLaren so the new one will be last) and the Mansell Williams. If the larger Williams rear tyres are available to order I'll buy some for the Senna McLaren Honda.

I sometimes buy that line speed chsmpion because of certain cars like the Asthon martin or mustang or lamborghini but Im tempted to buy the ferrari just to have one in my small collection

I do not like the minimal printing on the driver firesuits. If you compare it with the mercedes 2 pack F1 set from way back has more details like stitching and sponsors on their suit. Such a shame given the price bump to 27$

Lego knew exactly what they were doing with f1 cars having the least number of parts, easiest to copy paste design and the same price as the other speed champions, its disgusting imo and I feel shitted on as a fan of the series

I'm curious just how much Amazon will be and if its only region based. Does a person buy the single packs or holds out untill and buys Pack at the end of the year as at the time of writing this the other F1 cars in this series are TBC...

I’m not a racing fan but I loved building any of the SC when they were the crazy value of $20 retail. That being said I’m not the target market for any of these and probably won’t pick any up.

Unfortunately I cannot share your enthusiasm. For me, Speed Champions is all about innovative and interesting building techniques and Nice Part Usage. Variation is key. Building a Speed Champions car of the 2021-2024 waves is always an hour of unadulterated lego fun and a great, unique building experience in an affordable package that can be built in a short free moment. Getting ten (or eleven) nearly identical builds (except for livery and stickers) does not fit that bill.

People moaning about the limited variation in the cars seem to not understand how F1 cars are made in real life. The design of the cars is highly prescriptive leaving limited room for designers to push the limits and making something unique. The fact that Lego tried to capture the differences in sidepods and engine covers is pretty impressive.

This is a smart move by lego, they can now make waves of these while barely having to worry about designs, they just recolor and change slight differences between each one and theyre set. F1 is popular, people will eat these up, kids will adore those cmf style ones

They need more NASCAR releases, i would love to see a 1970 Plymouth Superbird of Richard Petty.

I really didn’t expect to get 10 more f1 cars after they just gave us two. Maybe this is why Lego has been testing out releasing recolors. Not sure I’m interested.

The halo design is still disappointing. Why they don’t want to do a specialised piece? Even CADA did one for its halo.

I like how it fits into the Batman arsenal, he doesn’t need every Batmobile to be the tumbler or a tank, sometimes he needs speed, or something lighter, I took the 4x4 from Lego set 60387 and swapped out the pieces for all black, makes a neat Bat-monster truck if anyone’s interested.
