It’s insane how fast that saw cuts thru those logs !
Ya its quick!
Dam! That thing is a screaming dreaming work horse!
It sure is.
Andrew has to be super proud of this machine. Nuff said!
Couldn't agree more!
Keep up the great work kev!!!
Thanks Andrew! And thank you for such a great machine!
Man, I could watch that machine working all day. Thanks for sharing
Ya its fun to watch thats for sure John. Thanks for watching
That looks like a great machine for sure!
Oh it is Chris! I'm very impressed
Love watching that machine
It's pretty neat
Awesome to see that 48C in the intro already!
Haha yes. After the second video I started getting comments on having to change it haha
Simply put, that machine is awesome!
It sure is!!
Nice of you to help that land owner out.
They were very helpful to my parents and toy mom when dad past. I'm glad we could help them out.
The spinny flippy device sure is handy for orientation of the block that is about to be made into multiple smaller blocks in a heartbeat.
Ya it is super handy. Still trying to get the hang of it and figuring out tricks with it but super happy with it
Love the rollers in the splitting trough. Jealous!
Ya I love them too!
That's how you do it. Good job Kev. Take care and have a blessed day and I'll see you on your next vidja.
Thanks Billy! Have a safe week
...good to see the beast is gettin' 'er done...lol..keep safe...
Thanks Bob! It sure does produce
Love seeing the 48c working. Earning its keep so the payment book starts getting smaller.
Yes sir! It's working very well at that too!!
Wow that thing is definitely a producer!!!
It sure is Steven
Dang Kev I need a nap now, tired from watching all that work
Hahaha a lot of wood in a short time thats for sure!
Man that’s getting it done 👍👍🇺🇸
Yes it is Glenn!
Man you were kicking ass and taking names today Kev!!
Ya we were flying through that wood!
Good video and no music!
Figured you wood like that!
Fast Cycle time!! Wish my 30/40 had the Roller in the Chamber!!👍🏻👍🏻
It is very handy and glad we have it.
It looks so effortless!
Lots of concentration right now but the fly by wire makes the joystick effortless for sure
Lookin sharp man
Thanks nuts!
Awesome video Kevin
Thank you!
Certainly going to be a great we earner Kev.
It sure is Barry!
Kev. I see the modifications have already begun. By removing paint and polishing up metal.. 😜👍
Always works better when it's all shined up
She sure is impressive!! Inside and away from all that sawdust lol 😂 I’m covers head to toe when I run my processor by the end of the day lol
Ya having the cab is very nice!
Round roller in front of splitter is neat idea or option. I think the pickerroon is faster at straightening the rounds
Yes a pickaroon can be faster sometimes. I was just playing around and seeing if I can find out any tricks to using using rollers.
That's so fun to watch, I bet the UA-cam vids alone will pay for it! lol
Hahahaha almost. 1 more video and its covered
@@SkidderKev lol!
Me: I wonder if Santa could fit one of these in his sleigh for me?
Santa: You have to be a good boy....
Me: Never mind
Hahaha you can burn the coal he brings
@@SkidderKev that's funny!
@@SkidderKev : hahaha 🤣🤣not a bad idea.. Less work for me🤣🤣
Haha yup
I feel very accomplished for the day...I was able to split 10 cord before even finishing my morning coffee!💪
Hahaha you should just relax the rest of the day haha
@@SkidderKev Kinda what has happened...The good workout early always makes a big breakfast late morning taste so much better!😀
@@SkidderKev I see the last piece of each log wants to give you fits on getting straight. I read some comments on trying to figure out rollers. Can the tray underneath where they fall be raised just a little to prevent a tumble of last piece without it falling behind tray? Feel like if tray was up it wouldn't let chunk fall on its end when entering. Does this make sense?
Ya something I probably should start doing haha
Ya still trying to find the best way to deal with them. The tip tray does help hold it to get set for the last cut.
Geez, I could watch that thing work all day, Kev - it's a piece of art! LOL. But I have to ask - does that operator's cab have heat and AC?
It is fun to run Gord that is for sure. Yes the cab does have heat and AC so it's very comfortable
Kev you’ve got very proficient with your new toy!
I'm getting there. Still trying to find some tricks with those rollers but loving the machine!
What does custom work go for an hour with a machine like that? Also when do you guys put your processed firewood in those fabric buildings right away or does it stay outside for a while? Awesome machine!
Not sure what the boss charges for custom work. Ya we process right into the builds we can get more into it. We can 'open the sides' to get air flow through it. Seems to work well and don't get any complaints on it. We probably get the most compliments on it.
Is the heater broken in the cab already? Shouldn't have to wear a toque in the cab in cold weather. LOL Andrew certainly wasn't kidding when he said the Eastonmade processors are the Bugatti's of the commercial firewood processors.
Hahaha nope. It works really well. Not sure why I left the toque on. But on low will have you in a t-shirt in a few minutes of it being on
@@SkidderKev : so are you saying in 3 feet of snow the heater works so well you could be in thong?? 🤣🤣🤣 um thanks for leaving that out of the final edit.. 😜👍
Thats why I have to turn the heat off when I record. Don't want to put you guys through that haha
Looks punky
Yes some of it was. I just ran what the customer put on the deck. He will burn that punky stuff in his garage so not a big deal.
What length conveyor is that?
The attached convyor is 16 feet. Works great for us.
Kev Its time to invest in a gimbal for your camera, all shaking about gave me another stroke.
I have looked into them. And maybe I should again. I try my best to keep the shaking down to a minimum. My phone does a pretty good job of stabilizing
What species of wood are you splitting there bud?
Ash, maple, cherry, poplar and a few logs of cedar.
@@SkidderKev do you split much hard wood with it, like oak?
I haven't split any oak with it yet but have put hard maple through it. Our 4000 had no issue splitting red white and bur oak no problem so I have 0 concern about the 48C doing it.
@@SkidderKev awesome. That’s the same wood I plan to split with the 60C I have on order. I’ve been on edge since day 1 wondering if it will split Texas hard woods. I’ll mainly be splitting post oak with it. As well all the oaks you mentioned with alil pecan & elm. Might try live oak with the 4 way. If you know anything about live oak you’ll understand.
Thanks for the prompt responses. Keep up the great videos & happy splitting & holidays to you & your family.
I have heard about post oak but we don't have it this far north. You will be happy with it for sure !! Happy holidays to you and your family too!
Do you use a machine to knock down the pile once it reaches the conveyor?
Yes we did, knocked it down 3 times with the front end loader
Looks like your getting the paint worn off
Ya we are starting. I'm impressed with how well the paint has stayed on the wedge
