I had the original in the 80s, and now this one since it’s rerelease in 2019. I’m glad that Seiko decided to release this one again! This is by far my all time favorite Seiko watch! Wear it all the time! And still looks like new and operate like new too! This watch was also featured on the James Bond film a view to a kill” before Arnie took it to the next level of fame.
I just rebought the Pepsi version. I had previously bought the Pepsi back in 2020. I've got a 6 3/4" wrist, and it looks fine on my wrist. I did change the strap to an Uncle GL-831. You can order those from Uncle with the standard or short length strap. I just keep the pushers out unless I'm about to go into water or if it's raining. I've never seen anything official from Seiko, but I'd bet it has a somewhat adequate level of water resistance with the pushers exposed.
I purchased one of these NIB and had to return it, as out of the box all hree screw-down crowns were ludicrously overtightened to the point I would have had take pliers to them to get any movement (and I'm the guy family members come to to loosen jars). The replacement however was perfect and works great - absolutely LOVE this watch and it wears superbly on my admittedly XL wrists. It's hands-down my favorite out of my collection. Highly recommended. With that in mind - I don't actually find the bezel difficult to move at all, and I have no issue with larger-than-average hands/fingers getting purchase. The clicks are very precise and positive. I wonder if yours has a QC issue with the bezel as my original one did with the crowns?
Very possible on the QC. I bought my first king turtle and right out of box you would wind it and it wouldn’t run. I the bezel might just need to used and broken in. I agree it’s an awesome watch that has aged well over the decades. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I just bought a pre-owned one on eBay for $250.00. Can’t wait to get it. Do you think ISO tests are more rigorous than the H558 had (I.e., -40 degrees)?
I don't know if ISO certification tests to that extreme, that might have just been a Seiko testing so they cold flex on how good this watch is. $250 is a great deal congrats. Thanks for watching and commenting.
The Isle of Man (Mann) sits in the Celtic Sea between England/Scotland/Wales and Eire/Ireland/Northern Ireland. It's the home to the Famous 'TT' Motorcycle races and the spiritual home of 'Road Racing'.
😂 I know where the Isle of Man is, the coordinates off the island so not sure what is there. And I love watching the Isle of Man TT. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@DivingIntoWatches-jb5ri I didn't/wasn't trying to question your geographical knowledge, I'm sure as an ex-serviceman/veteran you're far more widely travelled than I am? Thanks for your channels content, it's great to watch and I look forward to each new release.
@efvar8338 0 seconds ago I used this watch just for walks and it only last it a year and half, very disappointed. There is a plastic under the display, it came off and now the second hand can’t rotate. Beautiful watch but not tough though
Big fan of Arnold’s 80s and 90s movies. The Arnie is a cool and masculine watch. It sort of reminds me a little of the Tuna. Thanks for the video. 😊
Its definably in the tuna line for sure. Its such a cool iconic watch. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Yeah I love mine and thinks it seiko top 10 for sure. Did not know it was in View to a kill. Good info. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@DivingIntoWatches-jb5ri yes! Look it up! Actually not only Roger Moore wore it, but also the Divers on one of the scenes from the same movie.
@@anibalbabilonia1867 Well now I'm intrigued and will have to now watch it this weekend. Thanks for the info.

Well congrats on the repurchases. I agree it’s a great watch. Yeah definitely have to change the factory strap. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Such a cool iconic watch. Love it.

I just got one of these and the bezel is perfect. I also like the stock strap, it's the most comfortable rubber straps I've come across.
It’s an excellent watch. Congrats. Agree on the strap very comfortable, just too big for my small wrist. Thanks for watching and commenting.
That is awesome watch. Love the strap.
Yeah it’s very cool. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@DivingIntoWatches-jb5ri Thanks for the quick reply. A guy (cold pizza watch reviews) goes over the ISO tests. Pretty intense. No worries.
Love the watch. Great review.

@@defender1006 No worries at all. I just wonder if there is really anything at those coordinates or its just a number they put on the watch lol.
@@DivingIntoWatches-jb5ri I hope so, I've been visiting there since 1978, either that or my motorcycles have really been 'jet skis'?!
@@defender1006 no lol. The coordinates are in the ocean off the island, not the Island itself lol.
Cool watch
Thank you. Thanks for watching and commenting.
It's a great watch to be sure, but to be honest I way prefer my my 'Solar Tuna' street series?!
Haven’t see those. I will have to check them out. Thanks for commenting and watching.

What?

Marine Nationale straps are so much better than nato straps, IMO.
Love them and the tropics strap from Zulu Diver. Ones I only like now when I don't have a metal bracelet.
