    FLASHLIGHT SETTINGS
    1. Press and hold the Flashlight button for approximately 5 seconds - all the lights will flash once indicating you’ve entered flashlight selection mode.
    2. With the Flashlight button still held down, press the Battery button to cycle through 5 light modes.
Whichever mode you are in when you release the Flashlight button will become the default mode. Avoid looking into the light when you turn it on - it’s pretty dang bright

The flashlight works very well in a t-shirt pocket. I like the flashlight the way it is.

I have that same mophie "juice pack" power bank too, and now I'm looking for more power. The mophie is great because it's so small it fits in nearly any pocket, so it's much more portable on a daily basis. I think I'm about to order the Venture 30. The real selling point for me is the fact that it has a flashlight, as I don't see that on other power banks. For camping and mobile living, it's a really useful concept.

Get Goal Zero Guide 10 with the Nomad 3.5 or any of the Nomad series. It's affordable and can also charge your rechargable batteries (both AAA and AA).

The flashlight is a great feature, it makes it easier to see your equipment when charging.

Just wanted to add. I have the 30 and I really like it. In addition to the flashlight i like the position of LED because its nice for a tent or table to provide lighting. My opinion on the buttons is they are flush because its not to interfere with the edges. Like if it were higher the buttons would drag on surfaces and eventually wear off the rubber. This thing is very rugged and just plane works as advertised.

I have a lot of Goal Zero devices - solar panels, Yeti 150 and 400 packs and the Venture 30. For a 7800mah pack its large - my Anker 13400 is much smaller. The venture 30 should easily charge my iPhone 6+ twice, but struggles to do so - I only get 1.5 charges ( could be faulty). Torch is handy, but it's also a lot more expensive than more powerful packs.

Hoping to buy a solar chargeable battery pack. Wont be in an area with electricity for a while. Can you suggest a more powerful one?

+Kafa Dek That's difficult. Depends on many things. Location (amount of sunlit per day), what you need to power and your budget. Buying a big battery pack and then not having sufficient solar to charge is as bad as not having one. That can be not enough sun, or too small a panel array.
Some times it is better taking a really big powerbank to last the time you will be without mains electricity. But again this depends on what you need to power. I use a Goal Zero Yeti 150 and sometimes the 400 - as they both have AC power.
If it's just a mobile phone you need, there are plenty of packs available that will charge your phone 8 or more times. I have an Anker 26800mah - the biggest you can legally take on an aircraft. It charges my iPhone 6 Plus 8 times.

I have it so far I don't like it. I had the previous model and liked it slot more. I can already tell the one charge doesn't have much juice. But if it charges the phone twice and the Palm top once I will be happy. But the old model was easier to use.

¿Sería preferible el Nomad 13 con el Sherpa 50? Es para usar al aire libre.

Given the price, the capacity isn't too great. And it can only be charged via USB so it would take around 5-6 hours.. .

Hi! do you know if it possible charging an A7RII while shooting? I tried with a Xiaomi power bank but just work with the camera turned off. Isn't enough power to do it while camera is on! thanks!

It has the capability to charge at 2.4amps per USB port. So idk wht your camera needs while running. But id assume if its within 2.4 it will do it.

It's really not a flashlight.. it's a lantern. I use it often to light up the tent at night.

Soooooo expensive for what you get though

But only 7800mAh for $100? The price is really bothering me. And I'm not cheap at all. You can get a battery with 20,000mAh for $50 with better output + the cost of a dry bag. I really really want to like the GZ V30 but I'm having a tough time.

    • @RileyBarrad
      @RileyBarrad 7 років тому +1

Ryan DiAndrea it's probably because it has the capability to be compatible with solar. Solar is expensive still. But I agree, I could get a Goal Zero Solar Panel package with around $100.
