Every part in our fridge has been changed at least once. The best engineered inverted compressor has gone out twice and fried one control board. This thing is a money pit, now our water pressure sucks after changing the filter. Thanks LG

Thank you so much. You saved me the cost of a plumber. I didn't even know I had a 'self-piercing saddle valve kit' on the water line to the fridge. I had just had our home's Water Filter System serviced and noticed that the water pressure was the same in everything except the refrigerator and wondered if it had affected the water line to the fridge. I did like you said, closed it and then opened it, and voila. Thanks again!

This video literally tells you nothing. House water pressure is fine. Only fridge is poor.

Hello all, like most of you I have been looking for information on the dispenser becoming slower over the first few months of owning, after changing the filter nothing changed and it was still slow. After seeing it may be inlet valve I looked into replacing to see how difficult it would be on my own and in the video I showed that the inlet hose comes into unit at a 45 degree angle back towards the floor... I pulled fridge away from wall thinking maybe it kinked and it now works again! Potentially door closing pushed it closer to back wall causing kink and progressively slow pressure. Hope this helps any and all of you!

Best way to fix LG refrigerator ice/water problem's is not to buy one in the first place, unless you enjoy troubleshooting/repairing major appliances. I've completely rebuilt the entire water/ice system in mine, beginning just 2 years after buying it.

I'm just starting my ice maker journey on my Frigidaire. Tried all the youtube free quick fixes. Nope. First money spent is on a new $100 water valve unit. Was no good videos on how to test it, so had to bite the bullet and buy one. Didn't fix it. So that leaves a few control boards and a couple thermostats. Shouldn't be more than several hundred dollars to replace all that. I'm getting ready to piss on ice.

It was the self tapping saddle valve. Shutting and opening it solved the problem. Thank You!

Water pressure at home is just fine. I can't believe I spend all this money on a crappy LG product.

I had a GE refrigerator for over 20 years and had zero problems with water flow or ice production. With my LG, if I don’t replace the filter every month the water slows down to a trickle and ice production becomes non existent. My water pressure is fine and stays between 40 and 60psi. I have not one but TWO whole house filters, the first at 5 microns and the second at a ridiculous 1 micron. My water is basically perfect once it passes through the 5 micron filter and therefore even after a full year, my 1 micron filter is clean when I inspect it.
My options are to either make LG rich and buy a new filter every month or buy a bypass filter. Since my water is super clean, I think I’ll just buy a bypass filter. I don’t remember one coming with the refrigerator when I bought it. I feel like they’ve engineered their refrigerators to purposely “need” new filters, just like ink jet printers always need new ink (and why I switched to a color laser jet).

Got fridge with old house. Guess the 3min go fill a 8oz glass made them leave it behind. Moved to new house with it and same problem. Makes ice fine. Something in the flow mechanism is causing it because when swapping out filters it wil spray hard for a few seconds then return to normal.

If water is not dispensing check water valve on left door at the bottom. New LG refrigerators that have both Ice and water dispenser have two water valves. One is behind refrigerator, at the bottom, and the other on the left door. If ice is getting produced, but water is not dispensing , the most like either micro switch or water valve on the left door. Check simple things like water filter and water pressure to eliminate obvious issues.

Remember to always use LG approved products so LG executives can receive juicy bonuses for overpriced parts.

All this technology and thousands of dollars spent and a simple tray filled with water is far more efficient and timely.

The drinking water coming out of my LG Inverter Linear is dirty. It has small white pieces of slimy substance. I purchased the fridge 2 years ago and I change the filter every 6 month as recommended.

The water preassure was terrible from day one, literally takes 35 sec to fill up 4dl cup of water. We got the no plumbing model and if I paid $5000 for this performance I'd return it asap, luckily we got ours for $1500 as it was the demo-ware. For this price we are happy with the design, and temp control, but the only minus is with the water preassure

Water flow has nothing to do with my lmxs27626s, LG has a POOR design in their ice making system. 1) The in door compartment doesn't get cold enough, I put in a bluetooth based monitor and it is lucky to hit 19 degrees in there. 2) The sensor is faulty and doesn't dump the ice soon enough after it is frozen solid. The only way to get the very small container full is to not use any ice for 2 days. Pretty sad.... this should be a recall and fixed for customers at no charge. Will never buy another LG due to the poor ice making capability in this fridge. If you like ice don't buy an LG!

LOL. Sorry to say you went from bad to horrible. Did you research? What were you thinking. If anything the Samsung costs more, and just as problematic.
Like going from an iphone to a galaxy, pay a lot, get a little. They both suck.

LG should recall these models with slow flow. Its so bad that its a running joke in our house when family comes over. Poor engineering. LG not taking care of customers. Fridge was $2k and can't fill a regular glass of water. 😒

WRONG! All this video does is blame your water pressure in your home. Water pressure is fine in my home, now what?!

    • @bocfat
      @bocfat Рік тому

Saddle valves for instance have a tiny orifice mineral build up can and will hinder flow, pressure out ur faucet does not mean pressure going into fridge is optimized
      ..got to think a little
