I think you can also hang your jacket with these things, for example when you are using one of those annoying bathroom stalls where the hook on the door is broken or absent.
Is there a difference between the GEAR AID brand hero clip and the HEROClIP brand hero clip?
No idea why I watch old videos of things I already own and use, but here I am.
No TSA issues with it, and I can hand a 80lbs ruck from a tree with the 50lbs one. I switched to the biggest one recently. I clip it to the drag handle and let it hand between the bag and my back. The tiny ones are great for her purse or shoulder bag. They are also decent for use in an improvised block and tackle with cordage and carabineers because of the hook not having to be around the anchor point.
If you have carabineers for non-climbing use, replace them with these things.
that will give-up when used inside a car since cars have up and down movements sooner or later the hook will give-up.

Do this clip go through TSA without a problem?
I haven’t had the opportunity to try that out. But I can’t imagine it would be a problem…as unpredictable as TSA can be 😂
Haven't had any issue with them. I keep them on most bags just because a carabineer is useful and the extra functionality comes at no real cost.

Good item to clipvon a bug out bag. Wish it was rated for more weight. But it is now going to be something I probably going to get for the convenience of it and it doesn't really take much just clip on the bag
Totally agree. Very useful but I would hesitate to call it critical for sure.
hey I was looking up vids of the hero clip and found this one: ua-cam.com/video/qWPNwU-Msw0/v-deo.html if you don't want to watch the hero clip actually started to fail at around 230 lbs and snapped at at around 390. Now in the video it was a best case scenario but it definitely can take more weight than they let on
