      I drive this truck literally everyday. I've sold off a lot of my vehicles, so I'm down to this, the RX7 and my bike lol I don't get great mpg(14 or so on average, but I gas it a lot). If you're prepared to get gas every couple days, I think it's not bad at all for a DD

      @MoosePhorus 6 років тому

      SniderTron 3000 I have a 6 inch lift on 35's and would like to gain some power back that the tires robbed.... My mpgs suffer a little bit so I'm not sure if I should cam. Is it possible to get two tunes? One for performance and a economy tune?

    • @SniderTron3000
      @SniderTron3000  6 років тому

      MoosePhorus for the bigger tires, you'll probably have to swap the gears. Like 4.10's or maybe 4.56's. That'll make a way bigger difference than a cam.
      As for tunes, the closest you could get to having two tunes you could switch between is a programmer. But, there's a lot of mixed opinions on those.

    • @MoosePhorus
      @MoosePhorus 6 років тому

      SniderTron 3000 I thought about regearing but at 70 I sit around 2200 rpm I'm afraid of regearing would ruining highway driving. Back to having two tunes, if I bought a bully dog tuner would a tuner beable to upload there tunes to it? It says it can hold up to 10 custom tunes. I have no idea how to tune, so I'd have to bring it somewhere.

      What lines on the booster did you end up using to connect everything?

    • @SniderTron3000
      @SniderTron3000  6 років тому

      I used the line on the master cylinder that was closest to the front of the truck(which would be the rear brakes). But, I am planning on eventually redoing it on the front brakes because the line lock unit I have turns out has only a one way check valve. But, If you have an ABS module I believe you need to hook it up after that so it doesn't throw any ABS lights.
      Just see what size line you have on your truck, and go and get fittings that fit the line and screw into the line lock. Then just mount it and flare the lines. Trying to explain it makes it sound way more complicated than it is.

    • @SniderTron3000

      If anything, the lower hp vehicles need line lock more than the high hp ones. Its harder for them to overcome the braking force

      @@SniderTron3000 when are you going to turn it up? I believe a set of Caltracs would benefit Goldie very nicely. Not sure what gear you have in it, but if it is just a race truck more or less then 4.10 gear would be nice or even 3.90 for better street manners

      I have that problem a little too. Look into Caltracs

    • @luisj8514
      @luisj8514 6 років тому

      The reason your truck hops is because of the leaf springs. When you launch or try to burn out they like to curl into an "s" shape and snap right back to the way they're suppose to be causing the truck the hop. Caltracs or any sort of traction bars will prevent that from happening

  • @ellkir1521

    LOL, complains about the 34.00 for parts then burns up a set of 200.00 tires. Just jabbing you bud. I use mine for theft control. Once saw a fellow worker try to take off with a buds truck that had a line lock on in a hurry, only to do the walk of shame hat in hand, asking how to unlock the brakes and permission to take the truck.

    Get a circle d specialties converter. The 278mm economy one is awesome, I run a 3000 on a daily, drives like Stock until you punch it and it will slip up into higher rpm, less rpm drop on the shift.... check my ig @kleenhall
