@@veliksami Nice... didn't know it was possible to remove the bottom part of the seat alone. How'd you separate it from the backrest? Dealing with this belt buckle problem on my ML350 currently and it has turned my car into a vegetable... no crank, no start... PRESAFE crap.
Thanks so much. Having the same issue on a CLS at the moment. Randomly the Pre-Safe & Airbag light came up. Traced it to the driver seat belt buckle. Going to replace it and see if it fixes it. Worried it might be the SRS or Airbag module but I think that is just flagging in the system because of the faulty buckle. We will see!

I actually ended up removing the seat bolts and seat bottom cushion off, I didn't remove the seat. That's the easiest way.
