Great video. Turned out my spring was broken. I simply stretched what was left of the spring and hooked it back up. Unbelievably, it actually worked. Saved me a trip to the junk yard!
I can’t thank you enough, this was exactly what I needed to see. It was a small piece of mulch in mine and the plastic covering clicked apart not pulled but mine is from a Nissan Leaf so there will be differences. Again thanks so much for the public service, you’ve made my day and possibly my summer
Many thanks from France for the tip! Though the car and the piece were different the problem was the same. I had no clue how to fix this and was wondering how much I would have spent for something that was not that complicated. Much appreciated and thanks for sharing!
Wow, after searching and searching, finally you were a perfect match with the problem I’m having. Thank you so much for playing forward what you learned! You helped me so much!
Thank you so very much for the advise on how to remove unwanted items from seat belt!!As I read the comments I found another person that had a dog latch stuck in buckle! I found out what he did & of course it worked! So happy to have my seat belt back in working order & no need to replace it like car dealership had recommended 🎉🎉🎉🎉
thank you so much! there was a DIME terribly jammed in mine, I tried a bunch of small tools to wedge it out to no avail💀 screwdriver popped it out after a few tries before I had to open the whole buckle👏
There was some cloth stuck in mine this video gave me the confidence to cut my flashlight on and get to digging before I have to remove the housing. I got the cloth out thank you for this video!
thankyou so much for this man. helped me see what was up with my buckle even though i found out mine was just old cracked plastic im glad to see theres a way to fix issues like this
Did you have to remove the seat? I got screwdriver in between the metal part and housing but nowhere to push housing down to, it stays in place. Tesla will send mobile service to fix it for CAD 175 which is not bad and very convenient but I’d still prefer to fix it myself :-(.
@@josuegaliciaramirez4881 That was my grandsons jeep and yes it did work when i took it apart but it was basically just jammed up and once i released it it went back to working
Thank you. Just today I found a spring put of the buckle. Couldn't put it in. It's a minor thing as I can put on the seat belt just fine (mostly) but the car kept beeping saying i wasn't using one. I'll disassemble it tomorrow and put it back. Thanks!
2004 Toyota Sienna here…confirming this technique worked for me. I detached the latch via the bolt and left the “airbag” wire connected. Bravo! Thank you!
Thanks for that I ve got two seatbelt buckles that won't work in my old toyota starlet, hopefully this should help fix the problem and save me buying new buckles
Holy c**p i would have never figured that out thank you it worked perfect on my toyota i was about to cut mine in half along the seam and would have probly lost a finger tip or something. Thank you again
Thanks dude. Not entirely sure if this is what's wrong with my girlfriend's seatbelt. She's managed to lock it, but by angling it and then other times it doesn't work.
Omg I love you for this!! My mom somehow got a piece of her broken Keychain stuck in the buckle and it's being driving me insane not being able to wear my seat belt 😮💨
You rock for posting, brother - just saved me $70 and the shame of bothering my service shop with something i could do on my own. 2010 Charger - figured it wss the same part (heh)
Fits perfectly rear-facing in our truck, which has a slightly smaller back seats. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx6_FKRYB2ClSPRyjcd8HptiCS3EiQoNX4 Feels as comfy and plush as our Graco Contender carseat
I GREATLY APPRECIATE this video! I curse the design engineer who positioned the seatbelt buckle so far down in the area next to the console...I have to fight the thing down into the area and feel around a while, finally getting it in and feeling a sigh of relief when it finzlly clicks! Then reaching deep to get out of it. I had an idea...the back seat has a seatbelt for three people. I dont carry anyone back thrre anyway, but I figured I'd leavd the two on the outside alone and rob the center buckle and plug and make an extension. The plan was, to plug it into the female buckke and then have another female buckle up, slightly above the console that would be easy to get to. I plugged it in to make sure if how high to put thd other buckle and sewed it on my clothes sewing machine. Then, got a tent and aening company to sew the overlapped strapswith gheir heavy thread. They did a beautiful job and didn't even charge me anything and wouldn't even allow me to tip them!. I was tickled. I plugged it in and it sat right there, pretty as you please!...till I went to plug the male shoulder strap into it Nd, low and behold, the tang is 3/16" shorter on the front male plug than the one in thd back seat! I'm going to see if I can eliminate some plastic, to get more depth! WHO WOULD HAVE EVEN THOUGHT there would be two different lengths, in ste same dern car!!!
