I make it a habit not to go to people's houses anymore for events because I'm usually bored out of my mind. Everyone's just sitting on the couch staring at each other trying to come up with interesting conversations. I told myself I would never do that to somebody. So I decided to build this real game room. so people would have something to do. This is the story i created for you and i stand by it😁
When people say they have a game room in their house, this is usually what I think of. But when you get there all they have is a table with a deck of cards and some dominoes.
Lots of variety and consoles hooked up to CRTs as well. I've seen a bigger rooms with more cabs, but can't think of anyone who has a better mixture. I would only add a 2 player lightgun game like *Time Crisis* to the mix.
That’s so cool! I used to have the house of the dead 1 arcade, it was in a virtual cop cabinet it was so sweet! Love and miss the old coin op days 🪙 That GT7 arcade warms my heart! ❤️😊
I’m very jealous of anyone with a basement. We can’t have basements here in south Louisiana because the water table is only 3-6 feet below ground surface

I own arcade 1 ups also I got over 10 of them but I don’t call them real arcades the sound isn’t loud enough as the original joysticks sometimes fall off I own real arcade machines since 1994 cause back in the days the arcades used to rule the world of video games until the Xbox 360 was released I was able to purchase the arcade versions I don’t know why the original xbox and PS2 were having problems you can find arcade games but not all of them so I guess digital made the arcades come to consoles also uk not pleased with arcade 1 up ruining some games like the first teenage mutant ninja turtles arcade 1 up not the original theme song no sound of you press the button while shredder is talking now they want $700 for turtles in time not buying it
Fox, I really like your setup! Awesome layout! The flowing CRT is one of my favorite parts. You definitely inspired me to add a few details to my arcade. I fill up my walls to the brim with decor. Maybe it is overkill, but I enjoy covered walls. Top notch arcade tour! Keep up the Fantastic content! ✌️

My local university has a surplus warehouse. I just found out about this a few months ago, and they have dozen of older computers perfect for retro cabs. They also just dropped off a bunch of laser discs for $5 each. I had to pickup some for my retro rooms. I know it's a bit old, but they even had Rocky. Perfect to display, and also a few others.
That's funny man my TMNT cabinet was the one that started it all for me too. I always loved being in arcades as a kid and that game was my absolute favorite. So when I saw that cabinet it was a no brainer. Then I saw how cool it was and, well 14 cabinets later and half my garage turned into an arcade with platforms and lighting and signs, it kind of spiraled out of control haha. Sick game room man. It's clear you've put a lot of time and effort into it. I love the retro flyers above all the cabinets. I did the exact same thing but I bought one for each cabinet I own. I made a video of the current status of my game room so far you're interested.

I love that racing cab, I'm considering doing something similar or just taking a dead Hydro Thunder cab and making it a MAME/PC racing cab.

Great mods with your TV shelves. I like your riser you built and the ads in the background. I personally have given up on Arcade 1Up after issues with their products and that sometimes full size games or other custom builds are cheaper for my needs.
Very cool man! Liking the tv playing 90’s music vids. If it ain’t sports playing, I have 80s/90s music always playing too. Thinking about doing something from Mini Jumbotron since we have partial vaulted ceilings. Also did that wall to wall riser platform like you have to raise up the cabs. Much cleaner look and stops the hunchback stance. Now you just need some of that fancy neon arcade carpet. That stuff is great for hiding spilt drink stains 😂.
I thought those gaps was so you can give people elbow room. It can get very cramped with these small cabinets. Maybe have enough room between each cabinet to put one of those fold-out dinner tables that come four in a pack. This way people can sit their drinks down.
nice arcade I like it! However, I will give you one piece of advice... you should buy a hyperspin arcade system because that has all the N64, DC, and PS2 games on it. The reason to why I make this suggestion is because since the original hardware of N64, DC, and PS2 is becoming more rare and expensive; you should try to preserve it and place the consoles behind a glass shelve.
Thanks man for the cool gameroom tour! Everything looks great and is giving me more ideas. You are one of the best fabricators and modders out there! Really love all the different styles and themes you got going on. Will be cool to see that wall with the OG Star Wars stuff in the console room. Now what you really need is to do something with that basement floor. Either some new flooring, full on carpet or maybe throw rugs depicting an arcade environment. Great work man and always looking forward to what you come up with next!
This is really great! The gran Turismo is just awesome. I've thought about maybe doing something along those lines but I've already got a sim rig so I don't know. The MVC3 cab is sweet too. When I was watching I was thinking it needs some crts then bam you have 4. I will say though since you're going all out maybe a nice Sony bvm would be the cherry on top. A sweet D24 or D20 would really bring it to another level. Then maybe a retro think 5x for the flat screen you are going to add, as they are incredible. Anyways you've done an amazing job. I'm a little jealous as I don't have a basement. They aren't really a thing where I live, so eventually I'm going to do a garage conversion.

I miss having nice big basement--so much room for fun stuff. I've been trying to find space for one of those A1up Ridge Racers for a while now, and I just can't think up a spot for it. Maybe if I mod it to also be a storage cabinet. And I agree that Burnout 3 was where it was at.
im still really surprised you didnt get a 550.00 atgames legends from sams club and put a coin ops x flash drive on it, cuz its got punisher, raiden 2, and alien vs predator, plus a couple thousand more. My favorite machine you have is the sega genesis mod. it looks great.

The Alien vs Predator cab is by far the BEST! A childhood favorite and a great beat em up. Why arcade1up hasnt made this cab is beyond me.
