If I get my grom by then I will be there!
Hey I need sm help!! Advice .... used modded grom or new? Same price for both.. modded grom 5k miles clean lowered, stretched, fatty rims, exhaust etc intake bars plus.. Stoke motor with fuel injector intake. What's the most you'd spend?
What is the name of you camera i want to get one?
Tampa cops feeling the wheelies that night lol
I bought a G R O M today.
$2800
2018 with 2k on it. Aftermarket Exhaust, aftermarket levers, aftermarket air filter, fender eliminator kit, Wheelie bar, blinker kit.
Super clean not a scratch on it!
Very nice! congrats 👊
Sooo exciting
Lil help??
I'm not a mechanic, so all work would be paid if I bought a stock grom!!
🔴
What's the most you would pay for a light modded grom? Stretched, fatty rims, tires, lowered front rear, exhaust intake etc . All except for the motor. Motor cones with Intake & fuel injector. 5k miles & looks clean!
No idea I don't usually buy those mods so not familiar with those prices but if you do some research and compare the price of the mods on the bike currently and you plan on adding those mods anyway, I'd say the value of the mods are about 50%-60% of retail. I'd personally never pay more than $2500 for a grom and I look for as close to stock as possible. The difference between a new grom and a used grom with 5k miles can be limited as far as wear and tear on the motor. If it sounds quiet and has the mods already on it and you can't figure out how to add the mods yourself then add that value in there to your decision making process. I'd say a stock Grom with that mileage fair price is $2200-2400ish . Start adding on the mods you'd end up buying anyway at 50%ish and you can probably arrive at a fair price for YOU. Again, everyone is different, myself included. Good luck
@@Photogromer That's what I figured. If I'm going to buy the mods, it would cost way more plus I'd be paying someone to install.. Thanks.
Yeah I’m so ready for decent riding weather. So do you know if they are gonna have the Smokey Mountain Crawl this year
I think who ever did it the previous year is doing it again but not sure of the dates. I’ll be heading back to Barber for the Small Bore event by MNNTHBX
@@Photogromer yeah Barber looks like a good time I need to check it out

i always wonder what camera settings pg is on to capture those sweet shots
Yo drop those settings on that Sony 🔥🔥
cant wait till i get my hands on a grom!!
When I was your age, all the streets in Tampa were brick. The bricks were stamped with the name Nick Nuccio. I'll let you youngsters look that up LOL
I wish I could have seen you wheeling your horse and buggy through ybor 😂 ps I just read up on Mayor Nuccio 🤘
@@Photogromer you can still see me wheeling that ole horse n buggy LOL
Hell yea. Got my pump on the way and really looking forward to getting into even more nonsense.
Have you discussed how you wired in your phone charger?
Bro i miss you after so many year i miss you so muchhh
great vid man
Getting a grom later this year. What would y'all recommend as some first modifications? Already have plans to get oil pickup mod and a subcage...
Edit: and a yoshi exhaust
Bars. Klx110 protapers. Easy pull clutch lever from elite or rsc
@@Photogromer is there any specific subcage you would recommend?
I like getbentdesign but mks is popular and ships quick
@@Photogromer alrighty i'll be sure to check them out, just in the process of compiling a list of parts
@@elijahpollard6828 I listed most of my grom mods on my kit page, might help ya a bit. Kit.co/photogromer
In an other video you said that you changed some of the engine parts on the grom and vent back to a "Stage 1" tune.
Is there any way to tell what is stage 1 2 3 and so on?
I'm thinking is it engine parts, or how much engine power more than stock ?
Mine is exhaust, intake and powercommander.
But building a flashed ECU DHM, tb cam, exhaust and modded airbox.
when do i hit stage 1 ? And why ?
From a Danish fan.
Hey Danish Fan :) You can head over to DHM's website and he lists the differences in the stages. www.dhmotoring.com/
In short:
Stage 1: Is an ECU Reflash (you buy a reflashed OEM ECU or you send in yours and he loads the map on it). No Cam. No engine mods. Simply tuned for an Exhaust and Intake. Although I run this with stock exhaust and the airbox mod and it's noticeable better than stock ECU.
Stage 2 (Actually called DHM Reflash and TB Cam Package): Same as above except it's mapped for the TB Cam also, and you will also replace your OEM Cam with a TB Cam.
Stage 3: Same as above and upgraded DHM Piston that replaces your stock piston
You'll notice more high-end power (in the power band) as you go higher in the stages. The rev-limiter is increased in each of these so you'll be in the gear longer than stock.
I haven't messed with stage 3 yet so I don't have a review on it but the power between Stage 1 and Stage 2 aka DHM Reflash and TB Cam is noticeable. As is Stage 1 from OEM. If you're not doing slow wheelies I'd recommend the TB Cam / DHM Reflash package. It's really noticeable when going from stock.
Remember to reset your ECU when you get everything installed even if it says you don't have to. For whatever reason, I didn't notice the power when I initially installed it, did the ECU reset, and immediately felt the increase.
When you do the TB Cam you will notice low-end bog, meaning it wants to live in the power band, so under 4-5k feels sluggish but only if you stay in that area, like if you're in a wheelie and you're keeping the revs down.
So if you're stunting and plan to do more technical stuff do Stage 1, very noticeable and helpful from OEM since you get the custom map for more performance (not fuel economy like OEM is) and the extra RPMs from the extended rev limiter.
If you're doing mostly street wheelies at speed or just want the max amount of power out of your stock piston, go with the TB Cam / DHM Reflash.
If you want to get the most out of your stock engine without doing a Big Bore Kit and replacing the whole top end with something like a 170cc and worrying about buying a custom ECU like aRacer, then go with the Stage 3. Again you will be focusing more on the speed at this level and with it comes less fuel economy and reliability compared to stock. Not saying it will blow up, but you are pushing the motor harder than stock.
Hopefully, that helps clear it up for you. Also, David (DHM Motoring) is extremely helpful and a fellow Florida Grom Rider, he will answer any technical questions you may have.
Cheers!
PG
@@Photogromer big help. Love the answer.
Already mailed David, and waiting for my next months pay to get in and getting ready to buy ecu flash and cam.
I'm a street max power go guy.
A bit heavy so i hit 55 at lucky times, but want the grom to hit 60, so i can go 55 without full throttle.
Super helpful, thanks for the videos and help. Keep the content flowing, those baby grommers wants to be educated.
@@Lunaticakabuller Yeah you'd probably be happiest with the TB Cam / ECU Reflash package. Appreciate the support, ride safe!
Im sure the cagies hate the packs of stunters on monkey bikes too
What lens do you use for those shots?!? Great pics btw
