Hostess is decent but little Debbie oatmeal pies have allegedly started fights over. Little Debbie is superior to me. But then again I'm regional bias. Also all soft drinks are Coke.
Little Debbie is just as good as Hostess honestly. It was cool when Little Debbie was a NASCAR sponsor.

You should know that as of about 10 years ago or so, the Hostess company no longer exists. The name Hostess was bought by a Mexican company called Bimbo (really, no joke intended) so what you just tried was made in Mexico, and tastes a bit different then when it was an American company and made in the US.

Yeah this is wrong. Bimbo is a good customer of mine, they run a good operation. But they don't own Hostess.
I prefer Little Debbie's over Hostess. Little Debbie's has comparable products to Hostess, and are better quality in my opinion.
Little Debbie used to be crap compaired to Hostess but in some stats Little Debbie dos not have that wired after tast. but now Hostess is crap.

@@Pdariean yeah, it seems after Hostess had the financial troubles a few years ago, the quality of their snacks have gone down drastically. While Little Debbie, to me, seems to have stayed pretty consistent on their quality.
it depends where you live and buy them c just going from san diego and san francisco debbie factories must not all be the same ingredients or something Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies tast like cardboard glue in san diego and not in san francisco. hostess pies in a box has the same tast, but the ones in the wax bag are good. so many its the a actual cardboard glue sinking in to the food ? maby they pakeg them when they are hot in one factoriy where a nother wait intell they are cooled down ?

I personally like to refrigerate or even freeze some of the chocolate ones, it crisps up the chocolate coating nicely.
The powered donuts are kinda good with a cup of hot cocoa though. They also make them chocolate covered, which are the bomb.
So Wonder Bread was our first national brand of sliced bread, back in the 1930s when preservatives hadn't been developed yet to allow widespread distribution so they had bakeries in cities all over the country; Hostess was also part of Wonder's parent company and the two shared bakeries. The bakeries had outlet stores and when packaging mistakes would happen they'd sell them real cheap, like two dozen packs of snack cakes for $1 or something (this was back in the Stone Age, so inflation...). Mom would spend couple bucks and stock the freezer for our school lunches.
There's a long running joke in the states that Twinkees would survive a nuclear blast...lol. You should really try the fruit pies. The nostalgia feel comes from the fact that back in 2012, Hostess went out of business (we thought forever) and we all went mad in the stores scooping up every Hostess item we could find. Of course they returned about 6 months later but we've never really taken them for granted again.
I love the Cup cakes the best, I usually have em with some coffee in the morning. I also prefer the chocolate donettes over the powdered ones, especially when they're refrigerated - so so good.
Those coffee cakes are good when warmed up with some milk

The original concept was for the working or lazy woman that had coffee/tea parties that were too lazy or incapable of making their own.They caught on for kids school lunches too.They are better with mocha hot drinks.Try the ho ho's again.A hack ,nibble the side ends off then unroll it as you eat it.

Hostess used to be #1 in donuts many years ago.
Since then, you have Winchell's; Dunkin Donuts; and Krispy Kreme donut stores all over the U.S.
Of these....Krispy Kreme is the BEST in my opinion.
Hi Courtney. Good to see you on a video again. Some of Hostess is pretty good. But all of them (I think) are highly processed food. I ate Hostess as a kid rarely & have no nostalgia. But some have eaten Cup Cakes, Twinkies, Etc & they are very fond of them. When I want to grab something quick to eat on the go. I do like the chocolate coated Donettes.

I was a Hostess kid growing up in California. Had to have milk with them though. I'm not a Twinkie fan. As an adult it has been years since I have had any Hostess items.

the cinnamon coffee cakes are really good. when they introduced them i was pessimistic because i've had really stale products that were similar, and yeah Hostess can definitely be sub-par. Especially if you get them close to the sell-by date. The Ho-Hos kind of look like they might have been not so fresh.
And like the Grinch's heart. Courtney's butt grew three sizes that day😂💚💛💚💛

Twinkies, the real ones, are extinct. They were originally a lovely vanilla cake with banana frosting, and filled with banana creme.
Over the decades, the quality has declined while the price climbed.
Fun trivia --- in Zombieland, Woody Harrelson's life mission is to find the last Twinkie.
When doing a taste video, clean your palette between options. I think a tall glass of milk could have been a good choice. In my school days, a little carton of chocolate milk and one of these options would have been my holdover if the school menu didn't appeal to me.

I'd be happy with any of those though...none are awful. Stores here sell more of the Little Debbie snacks though...especially the Nutty Bars and Oatmeal Creme Pies. :) Loved watching you taste test, CoCo!
You are supposed to have the powdered donuts with morning coffee. When the coffee hits the donut, they explode in your mouth.

Hostess is known as the sweet cake that is standard just glazed in sugar. It’s a hit of sugar but not offensive or anything just it’s sometimes too sweet. It’s a diabetic’s nightmare. I had to figure out sugars for my mom because she got diabetes from not watching herself and just eating everything in sight despite not gaining any weight. It’s a condition that can sneak up on you if you’re not careful. Fortunately I’m very careful with what I eat and I exercise at least five times a week to keep a lot of conditions at bay or keep them off me.
They are good for dunking and with ice cream. Good to see you again.👍♥️

Honestly, I think Tastykake does these snacks the best. I would give them a try if you ever get the chance. They’re a staple, at least where I’m from.

Hostess isn't bad in my opinion. People view it as bad, I think, because it's generally the bargain brand pastries compared to other prepackaged brands.
P.S. The Cupcakes are awesome. In my opinion, the best thing they make.
The aftertaste is why it's considered trash. It's the artificial flavoring.
Little Debbie snacks walk all over hostess when it comes to flavors.
Also If you had a Po box you would probably never run out of snacks from people trying to send you better stuff.

You could also have an Email where people who are interested in sending things could ask for the PO box instead of just postings it where everyone can see it.
And because it's a bit expensive.
It wouldn't just be crap stuff cause they would have to be thoughtful on what they send.
So you would probably end up with some cool stuff and cool snacks from different States or countries.

Hostess snacks are the best I was sad years ago when they closed and super excited when they made the comeback. Cupcakes, Twinkies, and SnoBalls are some of my favorites. The orange flavored cupcakes are not to bad.

Hostess went bankrupt around 15 years ago. The new owners use cheaper ingredients and they do not taste like it did in the 20th century with real vanilla cream.

All I taste from Hostess is chemicals.
Woody Harrelson's character from Zombieland would be very upset with no Twinkies. Hostess is very typical American snack cakes. There are regionable brands like Little Debbie that are better. Devil's food cake are average, but cream-filled oatmeal cookies, powdered doughnuts, and chocolate-covered peanut butter wafers are my favorites.

Hohos and ding dongs are the same product just one is sold in half the country while the other is the other half. Oddly enough. They converge in Chicago as I guess they want it in the middle somewhere. We get Ding dongs on the East Coast and Hohos on the west coast. I think it’s something to do with naming or something. Yet it’s the same product.
AS soon as you showed you were going to eat those "HoHos" my first thought was "those taste bad" and wondered if you would say anything or just being nice. Soon as you got about half way through the bite your face showed it all. Well done.

Oatmeal cream pies star crunches they make like this massive king-size oatmeal cream pie now solo too much for me but she's awesome😂. In the mini Donuts in the mini donut realm I like the roasted coconut mini Donuts in my second choice would be the chocolate. But I don't go for any of those for donuts Entenmann's their chocolate donuts their old fashioned donuts are to die for
Most hostess things look better than they taste. Having said that, I've eaten pallet loads of all of them over my life.
