Much of this Polish freeze-dried breakfast ration appears to have been intended to prevent scurvy by heavy quantities of fruits and fruit essences, and drinks. Polish cuisine, like much of Eastern Europe, or Europe in general, is heavily meat-based with potatoes and bread but obviously lacking in vegetables and vitamin C. This breakfast menu intends to make up the deficit. The only meat product is the dried beef stick, to provide at least a token meat product to the Polish diet for breakfast. Probably the hardtack biscuits were meant to go with the beef stick. I came back to add that this breakfast menu provides a healthy intake of fiber, which is often missing in heavy meat and potato/bread diets.
Hi..thanks for watching and commenting...Its always great to try something new and hear viewers enjoy the videos. It will be interesting to see what the other Polish menus will look like as they become more available?..ATB..mick
Thanks for an interesting review ! I am happy that the Polish army introduced a variety of items, the ration is not boring anymore :) But I also agree that thay are still experimenting with some of this food, and the experiments are not always very succesfull
Hi Delicious..Thanks for watching, commenting and sending me this ration. I enjoyed trying the new items and overall found them tasty and very good quality. The freeze dried berries in the oatmeal were particularly excellent! And all of the snacks would certainly keep you full until the next meal....many thanks again!....ATB..Mick
Hi Russell..Thanks for watching and commenting...agreed, more than enough food for a single meal and plenty of snacks to see you through to the next one...ATB..Mick
I'm slightly worried about increasing amount of sugar in those MREs, while I can't see anything to support dental hygiene in the field. Toothache can be absolutely devastating to effectiveness and morale.
Wow, this ration has a lot of components. The oats looked really good. Not sure how the SU-1 crackers fit in. I think I would try dunking them in the coffee. Nice review .
Hi Scott..Thanks for watching and commenting. It's Interesting to see what the polish ration is evolving in to. The SU1 crackers certainly seemed an odd addition. They were not needed as there was plenty of snacks already?...ATB..Mick
SU-1 is there so you would apriciate other things more - when you get tired of oatmeal or other elements you think to yourself , well there is still SU-1 , and the oatmeal starts to look tasty again. Plus you can always use it for self defence if your rifle is out of reach ;)
Very cool Mick. Good to hear your voice again. I hope all are well. Delicious, like you, is A class act! Good looking meal friend. We all mess up on translations. Thank you google translate, LOL. Components look good. Different, but good. There is A lot of components for A Breakfast ration. Nice! Lemon ginger drink is new. So are the beets and sweet potatoes. I love the sesame bars. Rough on teeth, but tasty. Again, I am impressed as to the amount of food included. I think you enjoyed, LOL. As always, nicely done my friend. Very enjoyable from my side of your camera. Stay safe. Peace, John.
Hi John... Thanks for watching and commenting....Yes, I messed up with the initial translations with this one...😂...but there was so many new items to try, it was worth it..lol..A lot of snacks for a breakfast menu?...It will be interesting to see if they remain as they become more available...Take good care of you and yours my friend..ATB...Mick
Looks like a very impressive breakfast menu. As you say it is disappointing that the panzerplates are still in there, and for me personally I'm not a fan of sesame bars, 2 of them seems a little weird.
Mate that sounds bloody awesome. 👍🦉. I'll have ta look out for this.

Nice review - thank you Mick (and Delicious). If the lunch and dinner menus have as many snacks in them you will be just eating all day 🙂

@@MichaelGreenReviews Those crackers are best crackers i ever had. We call them Pancerwaffle in Poland.

Pancerwallfe and regular diner, no beans, thats polish stuff.
All these food rations are an overgrowth of form over content.
Em mar e. Even in abbreviations your r's still have A's inside. Y u so cute for?
Much more carbs, less fat and meat. Not good.
Look for 24h MRE ration there is meat. This is breakfast only.
