I think it also helps to know the colour of the bridesmaids dresses. A true white with a blue hue would look really nice next to royal blue bridesmaid dresses.

      Great Comment D!
The other colors next to the brides dress can definitely change the way we view the shade of white or shade of ivory! 👏

Super interesting info, Sue! I did notice that some dresses in the same color looked different in different materials, and it's so cool to know why.

I'm interested in a gown that is "peachy" colored - it's called light gold and is mostly tulle. Perfect shape, design and low price. But I wish it was a lighter/whiter color. If I have this peachy/champagne/blush looking gown - is that going to disallow me to use white flowers in my bouquets and church decorations? Will it throw things off for my groomsmen and groom? My bridesmaids will be in dark burgundy or dark emerald - we haven't decided yet. I'm also a little afraid of not looking like a bride if I'm in a blushy color.... thoughts?

If you would choose the light gold dress even if it was double/tripple the cost, it's your dress!
Think of the photos on your wall 10 years from now. Is that dress the one in the photo?
(Everyone will have differing opinions on the color of your dress so I would ask these two questions.)
As far as white flowers & decor, I personally think it looks beautiful & have seen brides go with blush, light gold, etc many times mixing white in beautifully.
      Lmk what you decide Laurie!

Nice video, but the song is not helping at all.
