Hello. I wonder if I'll get an answer. So I have 2 high canines. To make space for them I had teeth removed. Now the doctor has applied braces but the wires go from incisors then under the high canines(instead of front to push them in) and then attached to the molars, then right from molars attached to the front of the high canines. I don't know if I made it clear but is this a normal procedure?
Hello 🤍 May you tell me please-you installed full braces set to put down “high canines” or it possible literally with couple of braces (without installing the braces to all teeth)?
Thanks for the comment! We are successfully treating orthodontic patients with pretty much any type of issue (crowding, spacing, bite issues, jaw surgery, etc). The best thing to do is find an expert Invisalign doctor and ask to see similar cases they have treated. Good luck!
Thank you for the explanation. I wish I could find your video earlier... I'd like to ask, is invisalign a good option for late treatment of tooth replacement for missing teeth on lower jaw? If I'm not mistaken, they use mini screw to give additional force to lift the tooth above the extracted one. Do you think combined methode (braces and invisalign) needed to treat the case? Thank you!
Good question. Braces and wires (and even micro-implants) are sometimes used as adjuncts to aligner treatment. It’s tough to say without seeing the specifics of the case though.
Great question! They absolutely do! The amount of overjet is important to factor in though, your orthodontist will use this to determine what's the best way to program the treatment plan. 3mm (mild) overjet is treated differently than 8mm (severe).
HEY , ACTUALLY I VISITED TO THE ORTHODONTIST AND HE TOLD ME THAT I NEED TOOTH EXTRACTION ( like 4 teeth need to be extracted to make space for the alignment ) AND HE TOLD ME THAT INVISALIGN WOULD BE PERFECT FOR THAT......FIRST I WILL START WITH INVISALIGN AND DURING THE TREATMENT LIKE IN INITIAL 3 MONTHS WE WOULD DO THE EXTRACTION. IS IT REALLY POSSIBLE ????? PLEASE PLEASE DO REPLY !!!!!!
Thanks for the question! The decision to remove four permanent teeth is based on the overall diagnosis by the orthodontist. That said, extraction treatment can be completed successfully with aligners, as long as there's an excellent treatment plan made by the orthodontist, and perfect patient compliance with wearing the aligners. Hope this helps!
Would you recommend comprehensive Invisalign with mild to moderate root shortening? And what should I do to prevent tooth mobility?

Great question. We used partial braces on the top, not on all the teeth.

Do aligners work well with overjet?
