Amazing!! This young lady is fully clothed and she is just gorgeous, and can actually sing better than today singers. 2024 and still jamming to Lila!!!
Yes, much better 🙃 a 13 year old girl back in the 90s could easily go for 16/17 while today it's the other way around for the most part. I really loved it and I miss those days. Those were the best days of my life ❤
She is way better than Taylor and Carrie music is or ever was. I like a song that has meaning and you can hear the words and deal with a song. Country today is pop. They say history repeats its self so when will the next George Jones, Merle Haggard, Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn come back around. Really don't think I'll be in my lifetime. Thank God for records and CDs to keep country country. Heather Myles said it plain and simple (Nashville Gone Hollywood). Had no idea Lila after having 2 kids that she is now married to a woman. To each is own.
When she released this in 1997 I thought she was going to be a massive star. Her music was just awesome, but radio changed at the end of the 90's and all the really good 90's artists got swept away. I wish she would have a major comeback. She is still lovely.
Just heard this song for the first time in forever the other day. I had a huge crush on Lila when I was in high school after this song came out. I think we're about the same age.
OMG, I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THIS SONG!!! I actually remember this song when it came out back in 1997! But back then, I was 6 years old, and I just took it for granted. But today (Sunday, July 14, 2024), I am finally, Finally, FINALLY GIVING THIS SONG A SECOND THOUGHT!!
I’m still not married yet (have been patiently waiting since 1995 to be married to the right person)... I remember hearing this song being out and about in the latter ‘90s and hoping I was going to meet my future Mr. soon... well, I still haven’t met him but I do have faith one day that in God’s right and perfect timing, that I will meet that special person and we WILL begin our lives together. I have always loved this song from Lila.
First time I ever saw her on CMT I told myself I would love to meet her at the del norte county fair where I live on my 18th birthday of August 1999 and it happened I got an autograph a picture with her and a surprise birthday kiss that I have not forgotten now I can't remember if it was last 2018 or 2017 I got to see her again live in Oregon I got another autograph I told her my name and showed her the picture from 1999 she was shocked
I don't wanna fall in love, I did, and all it did was bring me nothing but heartache and shattered my heart. On another note, gotta love my country music from the 90's.
I remember when I first watched Lila McCann music video on CMT I was so blown away I had to go out and buy her cd. And ever since then I had been a big fan of hers. It's been a very long time since she has done anything when it came to music. Just wondering is she still around and doing music or what. Lila McCann had a fantastic voice like an angel when she sang. I also thought her songs was like out of this world.
she has such an amazing voice, no one else i've ever heard sounds remotely like she does especially in this song and down came a blackbird. so amazing and uplifting and upbeat in this song.
i get made fun of my whole life for liking this type/genre of music. but its amazing and it resonates with me. i always get told i have to keep my emotions in, not show them, bottle them, etc... listening to songs like this i feel free and can finally let them out. no one seems to ever understand me so much of the time, especially how i love and feel things so deeply, or how i can share a really deep potent emotion one minute then go back to my normal neutral/upbeat base line of emotions a blink of an eyelash later. songs like this, martina mcbride's songs like my baby loves me just the way that i am and safe in the arms of love, faith hill's wild one...etc...they get it. if anyone could listen truly listen to those and a few other songs like them, they'd know who and how i am and so many problems would be averted i've always felt like. someday i want to be able to sing and dance laugh and love and just enjoy life freely and share life with the people i care about freely and openly with love. my mom understood and was much the same way sometimes as me, but i got forced by my dad to move 500-600 miles away from home to stay with another family member after college, and my mom passed away in the fall of 2017, so i can't even call her anymore. now i just try to live through the stories my friends tell and the music i enjoy, and cant even listen to music much anymore bc we aren't really allowed to at work and my family i'm staying with always want the house quiet enough to hear a pin drop unless they are the ones making noise. even trying to play a game on my computer i have to use headphones bc even having the sound on 4/100 on the tv is too loud for them usually. if it wasn't for two friends i met online and have gotten to know slowly over the past five years i'd be going stir-crazy most of the time. but they have their own lives and live way out west somewhere and add in the time difference and me being stuck working nights, i rarely get to have meaningful time with them much as any of us would like.
Oh I remember seeing this video on the TV as a little girl! I’m 23 now & I know every word still! My mom told me I used to run around our house singing this song!
Le t me tell you this, girl. You are one reason for a bright colored world. You are the bright shining star at night, when people are searching their ways. You are in our hearts - Forever. You're the one. May God bless you and your loved ones, girl. Chuck
i agree. most singers don't put in effort like they used to. Also alot of people on the top get there from doing evil things instead of actually having talent. It's sad that the quality of music, movies and ect has never been the same.
@@Mel-gg3xg, absolutely correct. After 2000 the quality of all entertainment has dropped in a major way. People used to matter but it's no longer the case. All the techno BS has ruined it for everyone.
@@JTDyer21 I lived in the country for over 43 years and country music was doomed long before 2000, politics and government agencies destroyed the ability for many to make a living there, epa regs and corporate farms, high overhead and low profits. This lead to the exodus of much of the younger generation from those country areas that would would have taken over the family farm/ranch, or worked at the sawmill like dad did. I watched kids graduate from HS and vanish, they took the Country base with them never to return, Country singers also wanted the big bucks the Pop and Hip Hop artists were raking in, then along came Taylor Swift, who injected pop etc into Country and the shot to the genres head was complete. Techno was nothing but another insult, 2000-2010 was riddled with Autotune, today it isn't even Country mainstream anymore. I remember watching this on the local tv station while getting ready for school, and our bus always had the local radio station up loud.... miss those days.
I remember hearing this song so long ago and thinking it fit me. I never could have dreamed that I'd find the love I have. He's so amazing and caring and I can't believe he loves me.
Lila is the same age as me, so when this vid came out it was like i could relate to her. I felt the same way, i wanted to fall inlove, and then i did. This is my song again, i need to find mr right.
This and also Leann Rimes hits from that time like commitment and one way ticket. Lila McCann is my favorite country artist from this area. Loved her in Walker Texas Ranger
May 2019 these tunes pumping out of the stereo, enjoying the tunes as I'm driving back to the UK from Moscow Russia, long trip but decent tunes all the way home lol
She has a beautiful voice! She sounds better than the more popular artist. She sounds great. I'm watching Walker Texas Ranger and saw her as a teenager!
I guess she's been around a while now. But I never even heard of this girl till I saw her singing this song on a rerun of Walker Texas Ranger. I am now becoming one of her biggest fans. I love that traditional country sound she has. Not to mention she's hotter than hell.
Amazing!! This young lady is fully clothed and she is just gorgeous, and can actually sing better than today singers. 2024 and still jamming to Lila!!!
She was so undervalued and overlooked. There isn't a female singer in 2024 that can outsing this woman.
She was only like 15-17 here. I would love to hear where her voice is today.
That’s a bit of a stretch but she’s got a good voice nevertheless!
The content, vocal performance and music far better than swifty songs
Everyone was all in for Leann Rymes, and some other young lady that Lila got overlooked
Is it just me or is the way women dress back in 1990 better then the way they dress today? I find the 90s era women more attractive
90's and early 2000, different times altogether.
Yes, much better 🙃 a 13 year old girl back in the 90s could easily go for 16/17 while today it's the other way around for the most part. I really loved it and I miss those days. Those were the best days of my life ❤

@@phinatic514 Sad that there is very little mentioned about her nowadays.
That episode was just on, April 16, 2023. Bad Brad Alt !! Ha.
It was on today March 8 2024 !!
I literally just watched the episode of her on Walker, Texas Ranger! Such a beautiful voice!!! ❤

I've had this song in my head for years. It would randomly pop in my head, I can't believe I found it. Thanks for posting.
same here it just popped up on my yotube recommendations i forgot about this song until now
Some good old school country. ❤️
Lila reminds me so much of Mindy Mccready. Awesome voice.
Rest in peace Mindy McCready
Yes !! Loved Mindy McCready 😢
Great voice and cute! Had a crush on her back in the day!
i used to listen to her first cd constently when i was younger. i loved this song and "down came a blackbird." She definatly was overlooked alot.
Stormee J ... I 1st saw her on Walker Texas Ranger.
The 90' country teeny-boppn belonged 2 leann rimes.
I seen her in concert alone with Neal McCoy it was a really awesome concert. And she's a hell a performer
who still listens to real country like this , beyond better than that country they call now & days
Sierra Daniels I totally agree with u, music now days just isn't the same.
She used to be my babysitter
It's the same generic beat as all country pop
@@joshuagarner1654 ya this song sucks
She came out back then to challenge Leigh Ann rymes
I have not heard this song in ages.. and I just happened to stumble upon it. WOW..
Love her voice, I love this song.
I wanna fall in love!!
I was named after this amazing singer! Lila was the most awesome singer I ever listened too
I forgot how much I love this song!!!!!!
I kind of miss the 90s style clothes girls used to wear. I was just a young kid then but looking at this makes me wish they still had it.
