Would love a full demo of this if you haven't already. Even in 60 seconds it's the one of the best sounding fuzzes I've ever heard (obviously that's thanks to great playing by you as well).
Good thing you said "literally". I 'd hate for anyone to think you were speaking rhetorically. Or hyperbolically. Or ironically. Thank you for making that distinction.
can this thing do some full chord sounds? I just got a behringer superfuzz and it shreds for like 2 note chords and solos but want something that can give me more chord variants with fuzz
oh totally, it's actually one that comes up a lot if you search around for chord-friendly fuzzes! It'll be subjective of course, but I think it's great with open and more complex chord voicings
Loved these sounds, and would appreciate a "proper demo". What's new in the v3? His site seems so custom that there may not be a set build. Any recommendations on how this pedal can be customized for ambient use, either as beginning dirt or post reverb or modulation dirt?
Thanks! It's on a long to-do list but something I want to get to soon. The V3 as far as I know has the Choke toggle and Highs knob. But yes, it looks like he does a fair bit of custom stuff so maybe you can commission one to your liking! I've not used it too much in an ambient context, but I do like it for dirtying up synths, or with a guitar and modulation it can achieve synth-sounds. Whether it's good after reverb/mod would be up to your tastes but it can work!
This sounds so good! sick range of tones in this thing and sounds perfect for lower tunings (currrently searching for the elusive 'perfect' fuzz for detuned guitar). What tuning are these riffs in a side point? Particularly the "Faux-verdrive" and "wreck it again" ones, they're sick! Are they original or lifted from other songs?
Hey thanks! These are all original with the exception of "Louder Now" which is from Shed by Title Fight. Everything is in standard tuning here but IMO the Algal Bloom is a good candidate for open/alternate tunings because it has such good note clarity across most of its range!
Title Fight forever. This vid convinced me to order one of these ASAP... so right now. Thanks bud!
Sweet, enjoy it!! Indeed, Title Fight forever.
Definitely revisit this one!
I haven't bought a pedal in years but bought this one immediately after watching. Great low gain tones from a fuzz!
Have the Algal Blossom - with fewer controls - and it really does sound as good as this demo suggests. A unique company with great stuff.

That is literally the exact Title Fight tone. Good job on that comparison.
Thanks dude, Title Fight is my favorite! For a fuzz the Bloom pulls off those heavy OD/distortion sounds quite well, too.
@@ambienttrash5234 yeah I grew up in the same area as them so they always have a piece of my heart.
Your videos are very awesome. Keep em up!

@@bonusflaps1749 oh wow the internet produced a smart ass. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to waste my own.
@@_drewplays Thanks for wasting more of your time to reply to me. 😆
Beautiful art in pedal and the sound is astonishing, getting mine soon.
I got mine! I'm still trying to understand it and how to play with the power, choke, bloom, etc
Sold my bloom a couple years ago and really miss it. This was a great showcase!
Guptech has a clone of the pedal for $99!
@@LeftHandedRightHanded iirc, they only make a clone of the Doom Bloom, not the Algal Bloom.
This video literally beat me up, took money from my wallet and bought this pedal. Thanks, dude.
LOL right on, enjoy it!!
Just snatched me one up thx 4 tha vid
Very nice.
You should be earning a commission on these. I also immediately bought one after watching this video 😅
Nice.

i got one too 🥺💖
Do you know what voltage it accepts? I have one and have been using it at 9V but I see that some models can work at 18V
this sounds so good here! what amp/guitar were you using?
thx! I believe this was my old Vintage Modified Jazzmaster, into a Boss Katana 50
What’s the rest of the chain?!
Vintage Modified Jazzmaster into a Boss Katana 50-my b, totally neglected to note that!

Second riff reminds me of Superheaven.
TJ Heaton if you mean the one labeled Louder Now, you're not far off-it's Title Fight 🤘🏻 Superheaven rules though.
