For a while now I've thought that lightweight was only for people with the extra dough to spend, but then I found your channel, John! Thanks for all the greatness, and take care! Excellent, excellent stove, count me in!
Hey there my friend... hope all's well with you and yours as well! Really glad to hear that the sets have been useful for ya. Thanks a bunch for passing along the word by the way... much appreciated :-) Happy Trails from here in Idaho! P.S. The Imusa was the 10cm version...
Love that your back! I was looking forward to a new stove secrets, I made the axe can stove and it worked very well, I'll be making a video response for that, count me in !!!
I love your stuff, I'm getting back into backpacking (I did it a lot with friends years ago) and this time I'm going to start going ultralight so watching ur vids is really helping me select gear. So thanks and count me in.
I'm really diggin that stove. It seems as soon as I find one I'm comfortable with I always see a different one... I can't wait to make it. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for your videos! Your 'How To' and 'Tips' videos are great! They are so easy to follow. I successfully made one of your wood gas stoves. This zero stove and your mini stove for the Stanley bottle are neat. Count me in.
I've built almost all the can stoves out there.. some great, some not so great.. this one looks promising and I look forward to building one tonight, Thanks John! Count me in!!
I've picked up many cool tips and tricks from you in a very short period. Many I have already putt to use. Thanks for sharing what you've learned. Roger
@IntenseAngler Nice minimalist stove that I have a need for (a couple of small pots) time to boil? Under 5-6 minutes? Thanks I’ll make one ASAP but I’m calling mine “the door knob stove” what it looks like lol oh also is there room to put a wick in it?
Superb. I got nowhere drilling holes in beer cans then again I can't open a door without pulling it off it's hinges. Looks like even a ham fisted chump like me might be able to make this. If you hear a small village in herefordshire has burnt down it means I got it going.
Thanks for the good questions (I'll get the stats listed in the description area asap). I've tested it with 1 1/2 cups tap water using a 10cm Imusa pot and gotten consistent boil times around 5 minutes (controlled environment). A little JB Weld certainly wouldn't hurt to keep things solid (I'd actually recommend using it). I've been messing around with the first one that I made for a couple of months now and it is still holding up great without it though. Hope that helps... All the best!
Excellent craftsmanship my friend. I got one suggestion, and mind you, its just a suggestion, but the aluminum bottles for the soft drinks, Pepsi, Coke, ect only come in the 8 ounce size. Not sure what you are working with there, but I had an idea. Use another can over the outer one to fuel the stove. I don't know what mods should be made, nor do I have an idea on how to affix the can to the reservoir Could be either a tin can or an aluminum can, and also would add some more stability to the stove itself as well as lengthening the full use time of the stove / heater if needed. Love your craftsmanship on this vid. Keep up the good work.
Hey there, I'm a new viewer of your channel, I found your channel a few weeks ago, and have loved your Tips of the week, and other outdoors tricks. Thanks for what you do man. Count me in.
Finally a stove other than the penny stove and the side burners that makes sense and uses my home woven wire pot pan support that works at the exact level as the taller level in this stove. I wanted badly to do the rolled edge stove, as it was my ultimate goal but hell you living in a tiny apt, no room for tools other than the basics, How about some new Stoves John? Maybe a few more reviews on how to lighten your backpack load. Were Itching for new reviews and up to date anything involving the outdoors. Something I personally wish to see is the effects of aging outdoors people and what can make our time outdoor easier so we are not put out to pasture too damned early, lol
Thanks Brother. This one's about as simple as they come, lol. P.S. Epoxy isn't mandatory, but a little dab of JB Weld certainly wouldn't hurt (I'd actually recommend it if it's going to see alot of use and abuse in-the-field).
Very nice looking design, I might do this for a go-cart i am building for the kiddos. Using that design as an "Afterburner" style exhaust pipe tip. Good job man!
OMG THIS is my new stove. Easy tutorial, precise, and doable. Thank you.
+Yvonne Appleyard Thanks Yvonne :) Glad to hear that you enjoyed the video... as well as the stove.
All the best... -John

Great video. I've only recently realized the advantages of carrying a stove verses cooking over a camp fire. Count me in!
I love the integrated pot stand.....one less thing to carry in. Please count me in!
Actually works better than i thought it would . Perfect instructions.
By far the easiest design ever!
Keep up the good work IntenseAngler!

Anytime my friend. Thanks for the kind words by the way... much appreciated.

Nice little stove John. I think I'd use a larger pot stand for stability.
Built 2 this weekend with my son and they worked great. Burn fuel quickly but boiled water quickly as well!
Man that's clever, I love watching your videos to see what you have come up with. Keep them coming.

there are wider aluminum cans with similar necks that could be used
Love the video! Just found out yesterday that you did stove builds! Count me IN!
Much easier to make than some I've seen on UA-cam and seems to work just as well. Thanks.
Great video as all of yours are! Please count me in!
Really elegant looking. Looking forward to trying it.
Best bottle stove I've seen. I only use simple stoves you can make with simple tools. I bet this would be great in cold weather. No epoxy needed?
That's an awesome DIY project. Count me in!
Thanks Brother. Yeah, it's a fun little project.. primarily because it's so easy ;-)
Brilliant!!! It looks like it does a better job concentrating the flame under the pan than drilling the holes also. Count me in :-)

Definitely going to make this one! Thanks for the video and showing it boil a pot.
Awesome as per usual. Count me in.
great idea! I like using the beer bottles instead of buying the stinky cat food can. Could also use denatured alcohol.
Keep up on the great work. Count me in!

Btw.. I see that someone posted a video ;-) Lookin' forward to watchin' it here soon!
It gives you a more focused and centralized flame (thus slightly hotter), but it burns through fuel much faster. Hope that helps...
