Yeah I was wavering between this and the homestar flux but honestly I think this is a class above the homestar and I'm also supporting a small business, which is an added extra benefit...
This might be the best one i've seen so far! Thanks for sharing :)
Beside the twinkle, does it have a shooting star disc?
Have it. Love it. Thx for the review!
Thank you for this review !
If I have the projector connected to a power bank, will it stay on until I turn it off? Or can I override the timer?
its like a cross between a penguin and R2D2!
How does it compare to Pococo Pro (Marvellous) or Orzorz Pro? Can we expect the video of those? Would be nice to compare them with DS-FX 😊
Looks like a lovely piece of kit!
So, I only have the one disk it comes with. Will I have to purchase the other disks? How will I know when more disks are available?
The Cloudy skies one looks odd with the moon positioned in front of the clouds. Never seen that in real life lol
I've been waiting for a review for the DS-FX! Really seems like the a familiar R&D cycle where they first offer the more expensive DS-1 and with that income they offer a more affordable projector for the masses.
It looks like a steal for the price. What I am wondering is, how does it compare to the DS-1?
I think it compares well. I need to do some more testing and I'll do a comparison video, but given the price difference it's hard not to see this as the DS product to get.
@@besthomeplanetarium already ordered right after seeing your vid! Nonetheless I'm still curious. Definitely will watch your follow-up video. Cheers!
I got it on miller site…it says it is bundled with the module and discs…amazon did not say anything about the additonal module and discs
Is the ADM module included?
If you buy the bundle set yes, but you can also buy single (really fair price). Thanks!
I am very interested in this product but I dont have a smooth cealing. It is not flat but with motives. I wonder if it will look good even on this unsmooth surface ?
My ceiling isn't perfectly smooth, it has a textured wallpaper. Now it depends on the surface, eg if you have lights then they'll be really obvious as you're shining a light on them.

It would have been more helpful if you recorded the rotation at the speed it actually goes so we can see if it's too slow. I just returned the Orzorz and some other brand because the rotation was so slow that it did not enhance the experience at all. I'm concerned that this will be the same way and no video I can find shows us an accurate representation of the rotation feature.
I did. You get 10s at actual speed ua-cam.com/video/p6zIl4Z949E/v-deo.htmlsi=nVaf_hYWvfrWc_xv&t=136
@@besthomeplanetarium Thanks. I've been watching that and rewatching it and it's just incredibly difficult to tell in such a short span before it speeds up. When you look at it, does it look like it's barely moving at all?
Thank you for this review. Is the battery replaceable? Is there any technical support in the UK?
Don't think it's designed to be consumer replaced. It's an American company, nothing in the UK.
Great video, well done!! In your opinion how does the FX compare to DS1?
Thank you. Well it's a lot cheaper! 😂 I think for most people the FX is perfect, will see about doing a comparison video.
Yes, large price difference. After watching your video ordered a FX bundled package, it has arrived and used serval times. Extremely satisfied with the how the FX preforms. Especially appreciate how silent the FX is. Enjoy all the discs, looking forward to more. Thanks again 😊👍.
I ordered the FX too now because I was looking for another option to the Homestar Flux (reached almost 200$ now in Germany). I was interested in the DS1 project already some years before and ordered a better star disc for a friend. Now I am excited to see the FX in action. Thx for your review! I hope there will be more discs for the DS-FX too in near future, also colored versions would be great. Greetings from Germany, Andy
@@CrunsherExtreme Hey Andi, hast du deins bekommen? Musstest du noch Zoll bezahlen? Es sieht verdammt hell und weiss aus, sind vll doch zu viele Sterne zu sehen? Danke
Would you recommend this over homestar flux?
Here you go ua-cam.com/video/ymXpfWD-al8/v-deo.html
Any chance that the homestar discs could be made to fit this?
No chance, they're huge compared to the fx cartridges.
Thanks for the video! Looks like you are based in the UK (Manchester) where did you purchase DS-FX from? did you have to pay import taxes? Also, how does this compare to Sega Flux in your opinion? granted one is BW and one is color..
I didn't purchase, it was sent to me for review. I'm planning on a comparison video with the Flux soon.
Yes please!@@besthomeplanetarium

Is the FX disc removable and compatible with Orzorz?
The Twinkle FX disc is intriguing.
No its not designed to eb removed
@@besthomeplanetarium I see. Is ADM module compatible with other FX discs, like the Milky Way?
@@adrianisNo, they're all self contained discs
Does it have a shooting star?
No shooting star
Do these kind of projectors works with dark grey walls ?
I don't have dark walls to try, but I'd assume dark walls would make the projection darker. White would be best as it will reflect more light.
@@besthomeplanetarium Thank you for your response !
is it loud?
No.
The clouds behind the moon...? Come on..
Space clouds ⛅
That many stars so close together looks smeared and unnatural to me. I like the Flux more. But then again, I've never seen a clear sky before.
2:17 Just in b&w? This could be done better.
