@@Wynsleydale I would suggest googling safe distance for furniture from baseboard heaters, youll get an assortment of answers so you’ll have to make your own decision. But growing up it was around 4 ft distance for anything like fabric/sofas and plants. It was usually located across from the sofa/toilet or bed. Never up against anything. Sometimes I see people with super long floor length drapes touching them and I worry. But the warning has been given, its her choice. I have no idea how old her heater is or if the technology has changed. They might not even be functional in an older cabin. She can always get an electrician to come out and service them. See if the elements are still good and safe. I keep editing this, sorry. Make sure you dust it, inside & out. Dont use any combustible chemicals on or around it.

I swear, a cabin can be way back in a forest with nobody around, but I still freak out without any curtains or blinds on the windows, especially at night. Of course, I am a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to those things anyway, lol. I am loving these videos! Hannah and Matt are such a great couple.🤗

Peppermint oil on cotton balls keep spiders and rodents away. Congrats on the new cabin!

The peppermint oil keeps spiders and a whole list of other insects away, but I've found that good old fashioned moth balls keeps the rodents away. And stuff any gaps around where pipes and wires go through the walls and floor with steel wool. Rodents can't scratch through it without ripping themselves up so they find someone else to bother.
Be careful and do your research if you have any pets though, lots of oils and extracts are toxic!!

Plus I know that everyone here who has offered Hannah suggestions, has done it out of the kindness of their hearts and that are only wanting to help her with your own personal experience , knowledge and skill. I’m trying to figure out why people have expressed argumentative statements toward others who have offered up kind ideas for Hannah??? Like, oh my gosh people, there is absolutely no reason to attack someone for making a suggestion to Hannah. Everyone has the right to do so, otherwise Hannah’s comment section would not be open, so it’s no one’s business but Hannah’s and whomever was sweet enough to share an idea with her. Wow, just wow!!! No one is telling her what to do. Simply helping to protect her safety and sharing ideas.

I was watching your cabin videos in lockdown while living and stuck in Amsterdam. I dreeeeeamed of being in the countryside away from the concreate city and your videos really scratched that itch. Somehow I’ve ended up living in a wooden cabin style cottage in the middle of london, I like to think all that focused energy on watching you and all the longing brought my now home into my life

@@karola.stachecka there’s definitely worse places to be stuck! Real lack of rugged nature though, gets to you after a while but there’s always the coffeeshops and truffles 🥲 it was really cool to walk around a dead and empty Amsterdam, that won’t ever happen again I’m sure

Put a skinny sofa table behind the couch to keep it away from the heater and then add a cute lamp and some plants, this will also give you a place to put your coffee cup on while you are chit chatting. Take some photos that you both had taken and frame them up and use them for artwork for the "office". I like how cozy you two have made it. Until your next video Hannah ~peace

When you first got a boyfriend I was all like, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I love Hannah by herself. So, it was hard for me to watch videos for a spell. Too many couple vids already out there for me. Having said that - Matt is such a nice and likeable guy that I have taken to him being with my lil interwebs daughter. It's nice to see you two scratching each other's backs. Love the house as well. If Matt is afraid of spiders, he should consider a spray on repellent. It can last up to a year inside. I spray around the ceiling and baseboards, window and door frames, and the exterior foundation. I bought a pump up garden sprayer to make it easier.

Watching this now makes me so sad, though I loved it at the time. Why can't guys just stay nice? Some people simply come into our lives to teach us a lesson (even if we marry them) and make us appreciate things more, and to add something beautiful to who we are (though it's never "baggage" if you've only had one soulmate, kept your spiritual rules of discipline and respectability, and learned how to move on to God's peace and purpose for your life, God willing).

Forget the expensive coffee pot cleaners. Home Depot has Vinegar 20% by volume (cooking is 5%) and you get a gallon of it. Vinegar is enough acid to dissolve lime build up.

@@MeluzHann yep I’m convinced Hannah and Isabel met a woods witch while traveling together because not long after both meet guys that are seemingly perfect for then that happily adapt to their unique lifestyles. I still think both girls could have a studio Ghibli movie based on their lives. 😊
